For sale is my 1989 Mustang GT 5.0. We have decided that it is time to sell it since we have not been showing it much. It has been garage kept since we found it three years ago with 48,350 miles on it. Since then, we have put just over 2K miles on it from driving it to various car shows. It frequently wins first place in its class.

This mustang is all original. Original equipment including the floor mats and all five pieces of literature. I even found a showroom dealer's brochure for it, but the front cover is faded. The paint is mostly original. I discovered while detailing the car one day that the front and rear lower half of the bumper covers were painted and clear coated, along with the hood. Other than that, the rest of the car has beautiful original red paint. There are no dents. The radio is original and even the tape player works! The engine is the classic 5.0L EFI V-8 with 225 hp @ 4200 RPM and 300 lb-ft @ 3200 RPM. The engine compartment is all original and unmodified. There is even an inspection mark on the front of the engine compartment dated 4-7-89. The automatic transmission is perfect. It shifts like it was new from the dealer. The bright scarlet red interior has not faded like most of the interiors from this model year. The seats are not torn or stained.

This classic Mustang is immaculate! Don't let it get away.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.

The finalists for the 2023 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year Awards were announced Thursday at the L.A. Auto Show. — The Acura Integra, Genesis Electrified G80 and Nissan Z made the cut in the car category. Â— The Ford F-150 Lightning, Chevy Silverado ZR2 and Lordstown Endurance advanced in trucks. Â— And the Cadillac Lyriq, Genesis GV60 and Kia EV6 advanced among utilities.Â The winners will be announced Jan. 11 in Detroit.Â The finalists underscored the industryÂ’s shift to electric vehicles, as all three utilities and two of the three trucks are EVs. The finalists were culled from a list of 26 semifinalists made up of three trucks, 10 cars and 16 utility vehicles that are new this year.Â Notables that missed the cut include the Mercedes EQE, Subaru WRX and Toyota GR Corolla in cars; while the Honda CR-V, Kia Sportage and Rivian R1S were among the utes that did not advance. The three trucks are the only ones eligible this year and have advanced through the voting.Â 50 jurors who work for media outlets across North America vote three times over the course of the year to whittle down the field, which was originally 47 vehicles. Jurors also test the semifinalists at an October group event in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Honda Civic (car), Ford Maverick (truck) and Ford Bronco (utility vehicle) were the 2022 winners.
