She is FAST but she is NICE and does not suck the money out of your wallet in gas. She cares for you and when you want to sit back in your seat, with the push of a couple buttons, she gladly will assist. She allows you to make her FASTER and doesn't require a lot of money to do so. She will treat you how you treat her. She is LOYAL and she is BEAUTIFUL. Want a slow 4 cylinder that is good on gas and no one will look at you, then keep on scrolling because this isn't for you. This beauty will turn heads and ears with the sound of the turbo screaming like a untamed tiger. They can't help but look and see what the sound was from. Dynamite comes in small packages and this little darlin' is PURE DYNAMITE. If you want to open the eyes of your friends, this one is for you. She brings many smiles to peoples faces. WARNING: Rise in blood pressure and heart rate is normal when opening up the 2.0 liters of this pure GM genius.
What I am raving about is a 2008 Chevy Cobalt SS that I am going to part with. She has approximately 69,XXX miles on her. She is black on black with the leather inserts and the plush middle seat inserts. She has a screaming mean turbocharger and a few other tweaks and add-ons. PERFORMANCE: *Catless Megan Racing downpipe *K&N Ram Cold Air Intake, custom Trifecta tune improving boost to 25-27 PSI (it can be turned back to stock by pushing the cruise control button anytime) *Clutchmasters Stage 4 High Performance Racing Clutch with flywheel respun and all new bearings with less than 1000 miles *New clutch master cylinder (has not even been broke in yet. Needs broke in) * HP+ front racing brakes. COSMETICS: *Aftermarket LED headlights and tail lights *15% tint on all windows except front *Replaced all speakers with KICKER speakers and replaced the stock sub with aftermarket sub, *Plastidipped wheels and all emblems. *Added an armrest like some of the other cobalts come with but none of the SS's have. That's all I can think of right now. I am parting with this gem because I have another car as well and do not have room for her anymore. It is time for her to move on to another owner who will love her, enjoy her, and take her out on the thrill rides that she deserves. She needs to be out on the road and not sitting in my garage. The car has a rebuilt title but it did not have any frame damage or anything major. MAKE YOUR BEST OFFER IF IT IS REASONABLE>>>!! |

Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.

Best cars for snow and ice in 2023 and 2024
Tue, Jan 23 2024What's the best car for snow? The real answer is "the one with winter tires." What do we mean by that? You could have the finest, most advanced all-wheel-drive system or four-wheel drive in the world, but if you're running all-seasons (the spork of tires), your fancy four-wheeler won't matter much. The odds are, any vehicle on the road running good winter tires will probably perform adequately in slippery, slushy and/or snowy road conditions. (Here's a more complete explanation of why winter tires are totally worth it). In other words, you don't really need any of the cars on this list. With a set of winter tires, countless others will do the job, and even these will be at their best with proper rubber. You can find a variety of winter tires for your car here at Tire Rack. Keep in mind that you will need a full set of four snow tires for safety and performance, no matter what you're driving. The days of your dad putting just two snows on the family truckster to get it moving in a straight line are long gone. Don't get us wrong, getting a car that performs well in snow and ice is still a worthy criteria for car buyers. According to the U.S. Transportation Department, 70% of Americans live in places that get snow and ice. And much of the country has been blasted with arctic air for much of the new year. So let's look at the cars. First, we're highlighting choices for a variety of buyers and price points. Second, we're not just considering snow; we're considering general wintery conditions people will experience driving to work or school. As such, these are all choices with advanced all-wheel-drive systems, usually with "torque-vectoring" systems that not only automatically shunt power front and back, but side to side between the rear axles. Most have extra ground clearance for getting through deep snow, and we prefer those vehicles with more responsive steering, throttles and transmissions that provide a greater sense of vehicle control in slippery conditions.  Acura RDX Read our Acura RDX Review Acura's Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive system was one of the first to offer torque-vectoring, and besides often being touted for its ability to greatly enhanced dry-road handling, its benefits in the slick stuff can be profound. It's actually surprising that Acura hasn't leaned into this capability further by offering more rugged versions of its vehicles.
