Chevrolet Chevy 2500 Silverado 4x4 7.4lv8 Tbi 454 Excab Long Bed Truck on 2040-cars
Pueblo, Colorado, United States
Hello Truck Enthusiasts I've had this great pick up truck for a few years and really only used it for light work as it is an extra car in our family. It really runs GREAT, is 4x4, MANUAL TRANSMISSION (stick shift) and is not leaking any fluids! I just had a new water pump put in by my professional mechanic and have receipts to show it. Immediately after buying it I took it to our family mechanics and had them change the needed fluids and inspect it from top to bottom to make sure it was in great shape. It does not need a clutch as the prior owner had recently replaced it according to our mechanic, but there was no receipt in the glove box for it. I recently paid it off and have the title free and clear of any issues. My credit union uses NADA to price it and their blue book is $5275. If you buy this reliable truck you will get a solid 454 v8 engine with well working 4x4, extended cad, long bed, manual transmission and a bed liner. The 454 strong engine can carry or tow most anything and ask for and is known as the 300,000 mile long lasting engine if taken care of, according to my mechanics. ** This truck has the common primer defect so the paint peels. I touch up the paint so no metal is showing. ** I have been a ebay member for over 14 years with a perfect record. I only sell good stuff and am honest about what I sell so bid with confidence HERE ARE THE ONLY DEFECTS I KNOW OF: 1. 1990's primer paint issue where the paint peels and I have been painting over to keep out rust. 2. The Air conditioner doesn't come on and I never felt it necessary to pay money to see what is wrong as it is cool here. 3. It steers fine but is a little loose and my mechanics said that $200 "pit link" would tighten the steering but it never bothered me. 4. The front windshield is cracked.

Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]
Sun, 03 Feb 2013The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.
New GM subcompact SUV spied, could be a Chevy or GMC
Mon, Aug 13 2018GM's pair of subcompact crossovers have been trundling along for a while now. The Buick Encore was the first for Americans in the 2013 model year, and the Chevy Trax that was based on the Encore (an encore of the Encore, if you will) arrived for the 2015 model year. Each has undergone a mild update, but these spy photos could indicate their replacements are in the works. Or not. For starters, we can't be sure which GM brand this new SUV is destined for. Though the timing and its flowing lines could indicate Buick, the thick horizontal bars visible in the grille would indicate otherwise. The next Encore being at least related to this is at least a possibility. Making the case for GMC are those thick grille bars, the fact that it extends far below the lights, and may even rise above them, similar to the Acadia. And that rising beltline isn't that different from that of the Acadia. Arguing against the GMC idea is the Encore, which is almost always sold in GMC-Buick combo dealers. Much as the Acadia was made smaller to eliminate confusion and in-house competition with the Enclave, it's hard to see GM opting to resurrect such an issue at the bottom end of the SUV market. That means we're leaning toward this little SUV wearing a Chevy bowtie. The split grille with a large lower section and small upper section is the brand's current design language, as seen on the new Malibus and Cruzes. The shape is vaguely Equinox-like. And like Buick, Chevy also has a subcompact crossover ready for replacement: the Trax. Now, our photographer reports he's seen another subcompact testing that has Blazer design cues, but in this crossover-hungry market, we wouldn't be surprised if two similarly sized but differently styled Chevy crossovers make the grade. It's a strategy that's working pretty well for Jeep. We'll no doubt be seeing more of these disguised test vehicles milling about the country in the coming months, so perhaps we'll eventually get a better idea of what this is before more official information starts trickling out within one or two years. 2016 Chevy Volt will not need premium gas
Wed, Oct 29 2014Buried in the new technical details of the 2016 Chevy Volt released yesterday was a throwaway line about a small but important change that's due to the new 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. The first-gen Volt has always required premium gas but the new powerplant will be happy burning plain old regular. The Volt's chief engineer, Andrew Farah, told AutoblogGreen that the change was due to today's Volt owners explaining they were not happy paying for top-shelf petroleum. "The ability to use regular unleaded was based directly on customer feedback," he said. "Since the range extender is an all-new engine, it was optimized to use regular unleaded at the outset. Using regular fuel will not have effect on vehicle acceleration or other performance factors." As Larry Nitz, GM's executive director of vehicle electrification, told AutoblogGreen yesterday, the new engine is more powerful and quieter than the outgoing 1.4-liter engine that's used in the current Volt. Fuel economy and EV range specs for the next-gen Volt are not expected until the full car is revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
