Northwest Classics proudly presents another no reserve one owner auction. A little history on the truck. It is a one owner farm truck. Used for runs in to town. The husband died in the late 70's and the wife hardly ever drove it. She got to the point where she couldn't drive anymore and I bought it off her niece who was selling it for her. Was not kept in a "barn" but outside as you can see this on the paint with some small patina off coloring starting on the hood. The truck sat a while so the niece had it tuned up and when I got it I did have to upgrade some things.
1972 Chevy Cheyenne with disc brakes. Has a 350 V-8 long bed. Very original truck including the same seat and steering wheel which helps prove the miles are actual. If you have dealt with as many of these trucks as I have you know how fast the steering wheels crack. This truck also has the very rare tool box on the side. This was a option that not a lot of chevy trucks ever came with. I personally have seen only 3 ever still in tact. I have seen more short bed bucket seat 4x4s then 2wd tool box trucks. If you want a truck that is super rare in very original condition then this is the truck for you! She runs and drives like a dream. I did do a oil change with high penetrating oil. I also upgraded the exhaust with 2 1/2" flow master system. I changed the belts as well in case someone wanted to buy the truck and drive cross country, the thought of a 40 year old belt snapping would be very scary in the middle of nowhere. Now I feel confident sending someone from Washington State to New York.
The truck is overall in great shape. I did have my guys replace the inner fender where the batteries always leak so she is now pretty much a rust free truck. The rocker panels are rust free and in good shape where most of them have huge cancer issues. We do not salt the roads in Washington state which helps really helps me find rust free classics. The windshield is all original with the glass all around in good shape. All the trim is there and in great shape still. The inside is all original with the sticker still on the sun visor. The carpet however is showing its age and starting to break up a little by left drivers foot. The tires are in good shape. The bed looks incredible.  I really enjoy this truck it drives great and I know the next owner will love it!
If you are a dealer or collector give me a call I also have another 1970 c-10 CST coming up for auction that I can package up.
A couple things the pics don't show very well three small dents drivers side fender by the hood. :)
I try and be very honest and descriptive when typing up ads on e-bay and I hope by my feedback you can see that. If I have missed something please call or email me the question. Please don't assume anything its much easier to call and ask. It's tough to write everything about a truck in a couple paragraphs. If you need a shipping quote please leave your zip code I get pretty good rates.  I can do airport pick ups or have a mechanical inspection upon your request. If you like old trucks as much as I do you will love this one!!! I do have the car listed locally and will end the auction for the right price.  70% of my listings end before the auction from a phone call with a fair offer. If it makes it the whole week I ask the buyer to make the deposit in a timely manner if you are unable to call or preferred  PLEASE call at the end of the auction. There is a negotiable $150 doc fee on the deal. Feel free to call and we can work something out. I have a Washington State free and clear title. My zip code is 98499 Lakewood, WA USA Please call or email if you have 0 stars on E-bay or I will cancel the bid to make it a fair auction.

Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.

Can A Fleet Queen Become a Fullsize King?
On paper, the Chevrolet Impala is a pretty strong seller, posting annual sales that have hovered right around 170,000 units for the last two years, but it only takes one trip to practically any rental car agency to discover where the majority of those sales have come from. In fact, General Motors told Autoblog that a full 70 percent of Impala sales last year went to fleet companies for things like rental cars and government vehicles. Logic tells us that this is neither good for resale values nor name equity, so Chevrolet is getting ready to roll out an all-new Impala with improved comfort, styling and technology, hoping to turn the tables on its retail-to-fleet ratio.
Chevrolet's sedans have come on quite strong in the last few months with the introduction of the Cruze diesel and the SS sedan, but while these will likely be low-volume sellers, there's more pressure for the new Impala to perform well as GM looks to slash fleet sales and compete with the wide variety of full-size sub-luxury sedans. Riding on a platform shared with the Buick LaCrosse and Cadillac XTS, the 2014 Impala will compete against the Hyundai Azera, Ford Taurus and Toyota Avalon on the more traditional side, while also looking to take a bite out of somewhat sportier models like the Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger twins and the Nissan Maxima. We headed to sunny San Diego to see if this totally new Impala can stand on its own without the assistance of fleet companies and rental agencies. [w/video

GM patent reveals new two-stage turbocharger

Fri, Jun 24 2016

Modern turbochargers may be some of the best ever made, but performance is something that engineers are always trying to improve. According to GM Inside News, General Motors (GM) is hoping to alleviate some of the negative aspects of a two-stage turbocharger setup with a newly-patented design. The patent, that was filed on May 19, 2016, reveals a clever bypass system that allows the engine, a four-cylinder unit, to optimize both the low-pressure and high-pressure inlets for its respective functions. According to the filing, a conventional two-stage turbocharger setup is engineered to allow both turbines to operate simultaneously at low and mid engine speeds. At high engine speeds, only the low-pressure turbine works. The setup can't isolate either the low or high pressure side, which can impair low-end performance. GM's new two-stage turbocharger setup looks to eliminate this by linking the high-pressure turbo to the exhaust manifold through the high-pressure inlet duct. The low-pressure turbo is attached to the high-pressure turbo by a low-pressure inlet duct, which is linked to a connecting channel. A single actuator that is housed in the exhaust manifold creates a bypass that can opens the high-pressure inlet or close the connecting channel. Depending on what the engine load and speed is, the ECU guides the actuator—a single rotating spindle with discs corresponding to flanges on the high and low pressure sides—to isolate one of the two turbos. Isolating the turbos allow the respective inlets to be engineered for the best possible fluid dynamic performance. The setup should increase performance and decrease lag. There's no word on what car this setup will make an appearance on, but it will most likely be used in premium vehicles before trickling down to the rest of GM's vehicles.
