Wheels and tires have 50 miles on them. Also comes with originals. Has power steering, brakes, tilt wheel, factory air is all there except for compressor. 139k on motor. New brake lines. Could use a new booster at some point. This truck is not a 4x4. 2 wheel drive. Runs and drives good. Will make a good truck for someone. Has the ususal rust on rockers and cab corners. Not much anywhere else. Really a great truck. Needs would be wiper motor, defrost lever, and a high/low heater switch. Really just minimal stuf. Any questions you can call me at 319-242-1115. I have set the reserve low and at a very fair price for this truck. Thanks for looking."

This is a great truck. It is black but I think it was green at one time. The dash is still green. 350 cu. auto, 2 wheel drive, 3/4 ton. Brand new wheels and tires, (only 50 miles on them). New exhaust. Has the Cheyenne package. Tilt wheel, factory air, (just need compressor), power brakes and steering. Cd player. Very minimal rust. Just on rockers and cab corners. Wouldn't take much to make this rust free. Not really any rust anywhere else. Tailgate shuts as it should. Runs and drives good. Could use a few small things like wiper motor, defrost lever, lo/hi switch for heater and maybe a brake booster sometime. Has new brake lines and heard a little air from booster. Brake just fine though. Comes with the original set of wheels. Odometer says 139k. I have set the reserve low and at a very fair price for this truck. Any questions feel free to call me at 319-242-1115. Thanks for looking.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.

Next-gen Chevy Volt will get 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine

Tue, Oct 28 2014

As General Motors gets ready to unveil the new Chevy Volt at the Detroit Auto Show in January, it's starting to reveal a few more details about the updated plug-in hybrid. Today should be fruitful on that front, thanks to an event GM is hosting today that focuses on the new Volt, and we've just had the first bit of new: a bigger engine is coming. Since the beginning, the Volt has used a 1.4-liter, four-cylinder engine as a range extender when the battery runs dry. The second-generation model will instead get a slightly larger 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that will be built in Flint, MI. That's a step up from the various engines that have been a part of the 2016 Volt's rumored mills, everything from a 1.0-liter or 1.2-liter three-cylinder to a 2.0-liter turbo. The confirmation about the new 1.5-liter powerplant was found in Automotive News, where we also heard again that GM is going to start building the new Volt's electric drive unit in Detroit, moving production up from Mexico. We will have more information on the 2016 Chevy Volt later today.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
