Chevy's Android Auto update will reach cars in March

Buying a new Chevy with the hopes of using Android Auto during your daily commute? You'll have to sit tight for a while before that dream becomes reality. The carmaker announced that an Android Auto software update will only reach its 2016 model-year vehicles next March, starting with those that have 8-inch MyLink touchscreen systems. That's going to be a long half-year wait if you're eager to get Google Maps directions through the center stack. The good news? Chevy is promising that all vehicles with 7- and 8-inch MyLink displays (ranging from the Spark to the Corvette) will eventually have Android Auto, so you won't have to drive one of the brand's swankier machines to get a smartphone-powered infotainment deck. The 2022 Chevy Silverado refresh brings a new top dog off-road Chevy, the Silverado ZR2. It has the biggest V8 available, flashy looks, trick suspension and other off-road goodies. And naturally, that means people will be comparing it with the other top-rung off-road trucks, the Ford F-150 Raptor and the Ram 1500 TRX. As such, we've assembled the specifications available so far to see how the three super trucks compare. Having just been revealed, there are a few things we don't know about the ZR2, such as fuel economy and some other suspension details, but we know quite a lot. And from what we know, the ZR2 has some interesting positives and negatives compared to the other trucks. First, it's pretty clear that the ZR2 isn't as extreme as the Raptor and TRX. We wouldn't be surprised if Chevrolet insists they aren't direct competitors. Specifically it has the least power and torque by a fair margin, the smallest tires and the least ground clearance. Still, it's not completely fighting with an arm tied behind its back. It's the narrowest by a significant margin, which is good for tighter trails. It also has the best towing and payload capacity, and the approach, break-over and departure angles are quite competitive despite the "little" tires. It's also the only one to boast a locking front differential in addition to a rear locker. The Raptor can be had with a limited-slip front differential, and the TRX only gets an open front differential. Jay Leno drives Joe Rogan's '65 Chevy Corvette restomod

Restomod classics often look great rolling down the road, but they can be an absolute mess underneath. That's the problem comedian Joe Rogan discovered after purchasing his 1965 Corvette convertible that was already extensively modified. Once work began to improve it further, some serious issues were discovered. Now, Rogan's rejuvenated 'Vette has received a thorough update on the latest, extra-long edition of Jay Leno's Garage. Rogan's additional upgrades include a new interior and adding nacelles behind the seats. Power is up thanks to a supercharger for the LS1 V8. Now only do you get to hear the engine roar, but Leno and Rogan also take the convertible for a long ride in the Los Angeles hills. They reminisce about liking cars as kids, the current state of General Motors, and Rogan's work with the UFC. Leno also shares a funny story about a confusing discussion with Marlon Brando.
