I have for sale a 1971 Chevelle SS that me and my dad have restored from the frame-off for the past 5 years. it has a freshly rebuilt 350 sbc 4-bolt main bored .30 and to back that motor up is also a freshly rebuilt TH-350 3 speed auto transmission. The color is burnt orange w/ black stripes and a black vynl top. the rear end is a GM 8.5in 10 bolt posi with 3.73 gears. it runs and drives great. the interior is in good shape, the front seats are a different pattern than the back seat and the dash and center console are from a parts car so they are slightly used, but they are all black in color. there are still some minor pieces that need to be bought and put on and some other minor work that needs to be done. it has all the parts for the A/C except the lines and the compressor. the blower motor does not work at this time due to it needing to be wired correctly. this is a car where if you knew what you were doing you could have it fixed up nice in a matter of a day. It has an HEI MSD ignition. it does come with the SS rally wheels, all that has to be done to them is powder coated and trim rings put on. buyer is responsible for shipping costs or they can come pick it up themselves. good luck bidding.

2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut
Sat, 16 Feb 2013Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.
Mother's Day Suggestion No. 2,506
Thu, 02 May 2013With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.
