This car is ready to have restoration completed. The body is in excellent condition and ready for paint solid metal throughout. all glass is present and in great condition. Most of the chrome trims are there, headlight bezels etc.. There is one brand new door skin in the box as well as a front fender in the box, chrome bumpers. Engine is a pontiac 400 from a GTO and dyno'd at 550 hp runs great, sounds great. underbody, frame, floor pans all solid as a rock. new wiring harness, dynamat, carpet, doorhandles, and other new trim parts. The interior needs a headliner, seats are in bad shape(cushions and covers--fronts especially) we have original door panels dash is in great shape we have new sails for the back interior. 400 turbo tranny with hurst shift kit. And more. This is a great resto project. The guy before me started right from the ground up and ran out of $ after doing the frame, floorpan, engine etc.. and I bought alot of parts but have no time. I got rid of his crappy body work, replaced with clean or new panels. I dont need the money, so dont bother me with lowball offers or tirekicking. If youre interested in a ready-made restoration of a 71 chevelle shoot me an email. Thanks.

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
