.............................................................................................................................................. The flowing information is long and detailed if you still have interest!
WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the my son Keith who is now 41. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for 44 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF
WILL I SELL THE CAR OFF EBAY MOTORS? Yes, I know the lots of you are not registered on ebay and use it as a research tool.
MY REAL PRICE IS $14,999. That's what it takes to buy the car on or off ebay motor. I have been doing this for a long time and I know the game, I don't play it the same as most and I sell every car I put for sell.
PLEASE NO TRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, but I will not trade, why should I trade when I have a hot selling car, I don't need motor cycles, boats, jewelry or your used false teeth.
I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY!!!!! I worship on sunday, I spend time with my family and I rest. I'm doing this because I love it, "I need a day off". I will be happy to show you cars 6 days a week, call in advance to set up a time, "I'm 67 years old and life is more than just cars".
Sorry, but I do not do videos. I'm old and don't want to learn and mess with them, I sell my cars anyway.
IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? The underside looks good, but not sanded smooth and detailed for show. The frame, supports and bottom panels all look very good to me. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find and the title states none. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a retired mechanic/auto-mechanic instructor/was a Army helicopter mechanic and instructor. When I find a truck or car I like for a good price I buy it fix things and resell for a fair profit. I did not restore this car, I just fixed a few things.
IS THIS A MATCHING NUMBERS CAR? No!
PAINT: The paint is shinny, I consider the car straight when you look down the sides, the panel fit is pretty good, no runs, the doors close good, no dents, no rust bubbles. The stripes are painted on and look good. This is not a perfect $20,000 paint job on a $15,000 dollar car, its a good driver, if you look for a spec you will find it, if you look for a touched up chip you will find it, but its a good looking car with decent paint.
CHROME: The chrome and bright work is nice, the chrome bumper look good, the emblems are nice, the grill has a couple of tiny scuffs.
INTERIOR: No smoke smell, the seat covers are good, the carpet good, the door panels good, the headliner good with minor waves, the plate around the shifter has some cracks, the dash pad is good, the dash cluster has a crack in the corner.
RADIO: After market, AM/FM CD that is decent, one of the package rack grill is missing.
IS THIS A REAL Z28? I don't think so, but it looks like one. UNSERSIDE: Solid, but not painted shinny to put mirrors under at the car show. GLASS: The side glasses roll up and down good and look good, the windshield is clear. ENGINE: Engine runs strong, no knocks or rattles, no bad oil leaks (some drops like most), no blue smoke. Its a good engine and it is clean. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Good used condition, the mufflers are by Flow Master. TRANSMISSION: It is a 3 speed automatic Turbo 350, it shifts good.
REAR-END: It has no bearing noises, no growls, its a 10 bolt. BRAKES: Power brakes that stop good. STEERING: The cars drives very good, it is power steering.
WHEELS AND TIRES: Factory Rally wheel, they are 15 inch with decent tires.
LIGHTS: They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work, dome light is not working. We took the headlight shades off, they come with the car.
GUAGES: Gas gauge works and the others are in a pod under the dash, the in dash tachometer is not working.
WIPERS WORK! HEATER BLOWER motor wire is pulled out, it is not working.
EXHAUST SYSTEM: The car has the deep loud Muscle Car sound, the mufflers look like Flow Masters, the headers are full tubes and not coated the system is in good condition, but not new.
HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE and panel fit? I think the doors fit and open very good, the cowl hood fit is a little off like most.
WOULD I DRIVE THE CAR HOME ON A LONG TRIP: I never recommend driving a old car home, I just test drive them and drive them some around town, but I do think this car would drive anywhere.
DID I RESTORE THIS CAR? No!
TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard!

US OR EXPORT "Nations Auto Transport" is located in the Kansas City area: This is a good company that will handle any type of transport in the Call Jim Page....his work number is 816-295-6887 and his email is jpage@shipnat.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take this by PayPal, but not full payment. Option 1: Pay the old school way with green face to face. I listed this car as I see it as a 67 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are OK, but have to be very critical to cover their back sides, "come look". I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first, I will not stop the listing and wait for a inspector! TRADES: Please no trades!
I do not finance cars! If your going to finance, please get pre-approved.
BOTTOM LINE: My price is really $14,999, I am firm and asking more on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down, but I don't like that game. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down.
PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No! GM to squeeze out more production capacity for midsize trucks
Tue, May 26 2015General Motors was predicting a strong showing for the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon before they debuted, and demand among dealers for the midsize trucks even exceeded company's expectations. The positive situation has left GM with a problem, though: finding ways to increase capacity for the pickups at the Wentzville Assembly plant in Missiouri. With a third shift already running, GM has continued to look for ways to build just a few more of the trucks at the plant. The company has plans to hire as many as 1,000 more workers for the Saturday and Sunday shifts to construct an additional 2,000 pickups a month, according to unnamed insiders at the factory speaking to Automotive News. The little adjustments even extend to getting rid of an unpaid break to add 18 minute of assembly time over the course of a day, which equals about 3,500 more vehicles a year. All of this effort comes because the trucks are in such high demand. According to GM's figures, the company has delivered a combined 35,720 units of the Colorado and Canyon from January through April 2015, and the Chevy was the fastest-selling truck in the US for the previous three months. In May, it spent an average of just 12 days in showrooms before being snapped up. And even better for the company, 43 percent of these buyers came from other brands. According to Automotive News, the most popular trade-ins have included the Ford F-150, Toyota Tacoma, and Dodge Dakota. Related Video:
Star Wars Car Drives To The Dark Side Of Comic Con
Tue, Jul 22 2014When it comes to designing coveted collectible toys for sale at Comic-Con, the annual celebration of pop culture lifting off Thursday in San Diego, the sky's the limit for the designers at Mattel. Fittingly, the building where Mattel's dreamers conceive of their limited-edition playthings is just down the street from the Los Angeles International Airport. Inside the colorful design center - a Hot Wheels-themed shuttle bus transports employees from Mattel's parking garage - the designers have spent the past year working on 10 toys created especially for the Comic-Con crowd, including a replica of the Batmobile from the upcoming game "Batman: Arkham Knight" and a 9-inch-tall action figure of Superman killer Doomsday. "We don't have to worry about retail. We don't have to worry about margins," said Doug Wadleigh, Mattel's senior vice president of global brand marketing for boys and entertainment. "We don't have to worry about operational efficiencies. We only have to worry about creating the coolest toys for our fans. Period." It also offers some escape from Mattel's reality these days. Like other toy makers struggling in this digital, video-centric age, the company is trying to remain relevant in the retail world. Core brands like Barbie have seen less of a demand, with a 14 percent drop in sales in the first quarter of this year. Mattel had a net loss for the first three months ending March 31 that totaled $11.2 million. But things will at least seem rosier at Comic-Con, where eager buyers for the toys await (the only other place they will be sold is on the Mattel collector's site). Mattel's exclusives this year run between $20 and $85, but elite toys can fetch much more when they're put up for auction. The crown jewel for Wadleigh and his team this year is a Darth Vader die-cast car, the first official collaboration from Hot Wheels and the "Star Wars" franchise. The car - imagine if a Chevrolet Corvette C5 and the villainous Sith lord's helmet had a baby - comes in a sleek black box and encased in a replica of Vader's lightsaber, complete with a swooshing sound effect. "We've been trying to partner with Lucasfilm and Disney on this property for a long time," said Wadleigh. A full-size working replica of the Vadermobile will be on display at Mattel's booth at the massive San Diego Convention Center.
Experimental mid-engine XP-819 Corvette going up for auction
Sun, 17 Feb 2013It seems to be commonplace that when a new Corvette is in development, rumors swirl about a possible mid-engine layout. As is the case of Chevy's most recent C7 Corvette, these rumors never pan out.
In any case, the idea for a 'Vette with an engine mounted behind the driver can probably all be traced back to a single car, the 1964 XP-819 prototype. Built as an "engineering exercise" back in 1964, the prototype was designed with a rear-mounted engine. History tells us that the idea of a rear-engine Corvette fizzled, and the XP-819 was eventually cut up into pieces and stored at a shop in Daytona Beach, FL.
After sitting for untold years, a restoration project started on the car, and while it isn't yet fully completed, the current owner of the car, Mid America Motorworks, will have the car on display at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as a "driveable chassis" with hopes of having a fully completed car ready to bring to next year's show.
