Iam sorry to say to all people interested in the car that I had to start the auction over. I wanted to edit the listing and add current pictures of the car to show what condition the car is right now, ebays format would not let me. I have had over 100 questions and 20-25 offers on the car so I will describe it from front to back. This is a true original 1970 SS 396 Factory four speed Flapper hood Elcamino. It came red with black interior power steering power brakes and A/C. The frame is perfect with no rust or soft spots. The body of the car is solid for its age but does have filler in the lower quarters and behind the front tires. The floors will need some repairs behind the seats. Both doors open and close like new, very nice and solid. The tailgate has some rust on the bottom, but I will include a perfect gm tailgate with the sale of the car. The windshield is good driver quality but has a crack in the corner, the rest of the glass is good. The interior is mostly complete and original to the car. The dash is nice without modifications but the gauge lense needs polished (dummy lights no tac). It is missing carpet, headliner and shifter plate for the console. The console is original gm but does have some broken mounting points. The engine is a great running 1976 454 with a mild cam and aluminum torker II intake (has 60 psi oil pressure warmed up). The car should have a Holley 750 double pumper on it to run to full potential. The transmission is a Saginaw four speed with hurst super competition shifter. It has a 12 bolt posi and boxed factory rear trailering arms. Iam not sure what gear ratio is in the rear end. I do not have the flapper or cowl induction parts for the hood. The rims are BOSS 18 inch and 20 inch. Overall this is a great car that just needs a couple of weekends of work and your shifting gears as u drive down the road. I have clear ohio title to the car. The car runs and has brakes but is not drivable on the road. It still needs exhaust, fan shroud and fan, radiator top plate, fuel line from the tank to fuel pump, and some fine tuning on the wire harness (regulator is sticking and headlight replacement) I have described the car to the best of my ability with 100 percent honesty. I reserve the right to end the auction as the car is for sale locally.
Thanks for looking at my auction

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1
Thu, 28 Feb 2013During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
2016 Chevy Volt will not need premium gas
Wed, Oct 29 2014Buried in the new technical details of the 2016 Chevy Volt released yesterday was a throwaway line about a small but important change that's due to the new 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. The first-gen Volt has always required premium gas but the new powerplant will be happy burning plain old regular. The Volt's chief engineer, Andrew Farah, told AutoblogGreen that the change was due to today's Volt owners explaining they were not happy paying for top-shelf petroleum. "The ability to use regular unleaded was based directly on customer feedback," he said. "Since the range extender is an all-new engine, it was optimized to use regular unleaded at the outset. Using regular fuel will not have effect on vehicle acceleration or other performance factors." As Larry Nitz, GM's executive director of vehicle electrification, told AutoblogGreen yesterday, the new engine is more powerful and quieter than the outgoing 1.4-liter engine that's used in the current Volt. Fuel economy and EV range specs for the next-gen Volt are not expected until the full car is revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
MotorWeek's 80's GM muscle coupe roundup includes Regal GN and Monte Carlo SS
Thu, Jan 29 2015Even with just four brands in the family, General Motors still represents a performance powerhouse. Between the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Camaro Z/28, Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, The General can still deliver plenty of thrills. The 1980s, though, saw the brand go even crazier with performance. While the Camaro and Corvette were still around back in the day, GM had a number of other interesting performance offerings. The Bowtie was complemented by the long-deceased Monte Carlo SS, while the now-defunct Pontiac and Oldsmobile offered the Grand Prix and thumping 442, respectively. And Buick, which isn't short on performance with its Regal GS and Verano Turbo, offered a much more serious vehicle, in the form of the Grand National (not to mention the Darth Vader-spec GNX). MotorWeek, in its hugely entertaining retro flashbacks, looks back on these three long-lost GM performance icons, and it's just as good as you might expect.
