Motor is # matching 350 that was completly rebuilt with all new parts 30 over, alum hi-rise elderbrock carb and new hei conversion. trans was rebuilt and is the original turbo 350. there has been a ton of work done on this car and alot of money and hours getting the frame in rolling completion. car has front disc brakes and drum rear. there are alot of new parts that come with car, new radiator ,fuel tank, all new stainless brake lines, new bf goodrich tires that have never seen the road has rally wheels. seats have been professionally recovered front buckets and rear all new backs and hardware. interior is perfect only needs headlinner and carpet.dash is perfect as well. dash pad has no cracks. all glass in car is perfect and have all window trim. like new complete and functioning cowl induction hood. front fenders are from cali and are perfect with no rust ,doors are solid and complete. trunk lid has no rust issues,SS grille is pefect. bumpers are in decent condition. car is mostly complete only missing very little like inner wheel wells. the washer motor and power brake master cylinder is new as well.now the bad!! the body hung on a rack and nothing was done with it, so it will need some rust repair or replacement in the floors and trunk car includes most of what you need to repair floors and comes with a new trunk pan, car will also need quarter work or replacement as well. original owners manual and protector plate is there and clean and clear title. theres still alot of work to do to make it a really nice ride, but if you have ever done a frame off then you know alot of the really hard work has already been done. car is for sale locally as well so i reserve the right to end auction early. please only bid if you have the funds to buy! again please make sure you have the means to pay for car. there will be a 500.00 non refundable deposit required within 24 hours of auction end and balance due within 7 days of auction end. this car was originally butternut in color and black interior. wanted to ad the fenders and doors are only hanging by a couple of bolts for shipping only.

A hybrid and electric Corvette, plus we drive the Ioniq 5 | Autoblog Podcast #728
Fri, May 6 2022In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Road Test Editor Zac Palmer. Zac drove the electric 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Greg drove the fire-breathing 2022 Maserati Levante Trofeo. The two dive deep into the relatively heavy news week by starting off with a discussion about the upcoming hybrid Corvette before chatting about what the electric Corvette might be like. They have a chat about the possibility of Porsche and Audi officially joining the Formula 1 field. Then, Greg and Zac get into some quick-hitting news to round out the segment by dissecting the updated Kia Soul (now without a turbo), the 30th Anniversary Edition Land Rover Defender and the new CEO at Aston Martin. Following the news and drive reviews, they rope in Senior Editor, Green John Beltz Snyder to give them a quick download of what went down at the first drive for the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning. Finally, they reach into the mailbag and answer some questions from someone who is less than pleased about infotainment systems in some new cars. And lastly, the gang hears back from someone they helped out in a prior Spend My Money segment on the podcast. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. This map reveals the cleanest vehicles based on location
Thu, Apr 28 2016Naysayers love to point out how dirty the electricity grid mix is when it comes to charging electric vehicles. Curmudgeons are eager to jump into any conversation about EVs to enlighten the lucky listeners about how plug-in cars contribute to pollution, sometimes even throwing in a dash of climate-change denial for good measure. (Thanks, buddy. Pray, tell me more about the plight of oppressed SUV owners.) Unless someone buys an EV just because they think they're cool (which, yeah, they often are), they probably have at least a passable understanding of their environmental pros and cons. As many EV owners are already aware, location has a lot to do with any particular plug-in car's carbon footprint. Still, there's always more to know, and knowledge is not a bad thing, especially if one uses it to do the right thing. That's why this handy-dandy map from Carnegie Mellon University is so interesting. CMU researchers have compiled information about the lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions of various EVs based on where they're charged, as compared to gasoline-powered vehicles. The researchers looked at the Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Volt, and Prius Plug-In Hybrid versus the gasoline-dependent Toyota Prius hybrid and the stop-start-equipped Mazda3 with i-ELOOP and compared grams of CO2 emitted per mile. CMU takes into account the grid mix, ambient temperature, and driving patterns. CMU takes into account the grid mix based on county, as well as ambient temperature and driving patterns in terms of miles traveled on the highway or in the city. For instance, if you drive a Nissan Leaf in urban areas of California, Texas, or Florida, your carbon footprint is lower than it would be if you were driving a standard Toyota Prius. However, if you charge your Leaf in the Midwest or the South, for the most part, you've got a larger carbon footprint than the Prius. If you live in the rural Midwest, you'd probably even be better off driving a Mazda3. Throughout the country, the Chevrolet Volt has a larger carbon footprint than the Toyota Prius, but a smaller one than the Mazda3 in a lot of urban counties in the US. The Prius and Prius Plug-In are relatively equal across the US. Having trouble keeping it straight? That's not surprising. The comparisons between plug-in and gasoline vehicles are much more nuanced than the loudest voices usually let on.
