You are viewing a 1970 Chevelle Super Sport 396 automatic. This car was involved in an accident in 1974 and was off of the road ever since and was from the Georgia. This car is very rust free and has original floor pans, frame and trunk pan, original quarters also. The quarters had a repair behind each back wheel but had repair panels professionally but welded in (nice job). The car has been stripped to the bare metal except the hood and the front fenders since they were replaced. The hood was from a rust free California car and the fenders are new good mark. I have used another body shell to build this car and it was equipped with factory air. The car currently has a 454 engine in it with an automatic and a completely rebuilt 10 bolt posi and has vette rallywheels. I have the complete matching 396 engine, 12 bolt 331 rear end with the boxed arms F41 suspension, 3 factory ss wheels, the factory ss dash, bucket seats, disc brakes etc from the ss car. We used another 70 Malibu to build this car. All parts come with it including the original title and showing right on the title the words Supersport. This had been a 1 owner car and wrecked in 74 with 56000 miles on it. The problem is that the 396 will have to come apart because it is seized from sitting. The numbers are correct and match the vin from the SS car and is a 350 hp engine. Someone will have to change the dash to the SS since I never got that far. The car has a good running 454 in it so it can be run like it is until you rebuild the 396. The body on the car is very nice and needs minimal work to finish. It is in primer for the most part and will require to be blocked 1 more time and the doors will need to be blocked a couple of times since they just have a light coat of primer to protect from rust. The car has been stored inside for many years and is extremely solid. I have all of the SS emblems, factory style chrome exhaust tips, SS grill, SS bumper pad, all chrome trim rings and center caps for wheels. Everything is there to finish the car but will need a new interior kit. The under carriage has never been painted and could be just wire brushed and Por 15 since it is that solid. I don't have the air conditioning parts other then the dog house on the firewall. I have had this car for many years but have too many projects so that is why it is being sold. You will have to look very hard to find a body this nice. Ask questions and I will be glad to answer them. The picture of the car with paint is how it will look after or when it was new. Shipping is up to the buyer and I will help to get it loaded with all parts. Uship.com is reasonable for shipping.

Cadillac could base its entry-level sedan on the Chevy Cruze [UPDATE]
Wed, Apr 27 2016UPDATE: Cadillac spokesperson Donny Nordlicht tells Autoblog , "The post speculating on a future Cadillac model derived from the Chevrolet Cruze is completely false." Premium automakers Mercedes-Benz and Audi have seen plenty of success with new small front-drive-based sedans. The CLA-Class had its best January ever this year, while Audi moved more of its new A3 in 2015 than its predecessor sold in 2005 through 2010 combined. The fact that Cadillac wants a piece of that pie is no surprise, then. There's a new rumor that GM's luxury brand could launch its own compact – possibly called CT2 – to battle the Germans. Cadillac, a brand that's pushed hard to rebuild its rear-drive reputation, could develop a new entry-level model based on the front-wheel-drive 2016 Chevrolet Cruze's D2XX platform. Go ahead and make your Cimarron jokes. Sources are telling GM Inside News that a Cadillac built on the Delta platform would ditch the Cruze's turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder for a 1.5-liter turbo in base models. General Motors' well received 2.0-liter turbo four would serve in higher-end models. According to GMIN, the Delta-based Cadillac would likely command a $6,000 to $9,000 premium over the Cruze, so figure $23,000 to $26,000 on the low end to $30,000 to $33,000 for something at the top of the range. As much as we dislike the kind of badge engineering that brought us the Cavalier-based Cadillac Cimarron in the '80s, the company has done an admirable job of distinguishing vehicles on shared platforms lately. A Delta-platform Cadillac would at least have a good basis – the new Cruze is surprisingly comfy. That said, we question GM's rationale if this rumor is indeed true. Put simply, Cadillac needs another sedan like I need another student loan payment. The company has four sedans, three of which overlap two segments, and none of which are selling very well. That's not because they're bad, but because customers want crossovers, of which Caddy has but one – the new XT5. Spending the time and money to add a fifth sedan to the mix when the company desperately needs to flesh out its CUV range would be a tremendous mistake. As much as we hate to say it, if Cadillac really wants to add a small, entry-level car to its range, it'd better be a crossover. Related Video:
GMC Canyon, Chevy Colorado diesels finally heading to dealers
Fri, Jan 1 2016Customers who have been waiting to receive their diesel-powered Chevrolet Colorados and GMC Canyons should be relived to hear that GM will finally start to ship them out of the Wentzville Assembly Plant. "The highly anticipated 2016 GMC Canyon diesel has begun shipping to dealers," a company spokesperson confirmed to The Detroit News. The trucks originally had a fall launch date, but a final review forced a delay in deliveries. The 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel in the midsize trucks produces 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, and the company touts the engine's low emissions. The Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board even put the mill through extra scrutiny with a real world test in the wake of VW's diesel scandal, and the Duramax passed with no problems. At that time, a Chevy spokesperson told Autoblog that the models' launch was on track. The Duramax engine adds $3,730 to the price of a comparable V6 model, but they're the most fuel-efficient pickups on the market. The EPA estimates the twins at 31 miles per gallon highway, 22 mpg city, and 25 mpg combined in two-wheel drive form and 29/20/23 with four-wheel drive. Buyers likely can't wait to finally experience these pickups after reading a heap of positive reviews. The Colorado diesel recently earned Motor Trend's Truck of the Year award. We also came away impressed with it during our First Drive and liked the Canyon during our Quick Spin. Related Video:
Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR
Fri, 08 Feb 2013There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
To see what Team Chevy has been up to all off-season, check out all three videos posted after the jump.
