This 3 owner classic has only 6900 ACTUAL documented miles on the odometer which can be verified by the 2 previous owners. Basically abandoned in 1988, the car sat untouched until the third owner purchased the car and completed the restoration just a few years ago. 1969 was the first year that the SS came as an option package instead of a separate model. This real matching numbers 69 Chevelle SS has been treated to a complete 2year frame-off restoration. More than 300 pictures document this incredible restoration from beginning to end. Every nut and bolt has been replaced using original or OEM parts. New paint in its original Butternut Yellow (paint code 40) and black vinyl interior look flawless. Documentation includes original data cards (not very legible), owners manual and a 2" file full of receipts from the restoration.
Factory Air Conditioning with the original GM compressor still intact. . To add to uniqueness of this true SS, it was built with a bench seat and 3 speed automatic on the column. Although it has been trailered to local car shows since its restoration, she starts runs and stops as good as she did when new. Tires are brand new as are the brakes, brake and fuel lines and just about everything else, yet all body panels are original and laser straight. Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
GM to add 1,200 workers at 2 Michigan factories
Sat, Feb 29 2020DETROIT — General Motors is adding 1,200 jobs at two Michigan factories to build midsize SUVs and two new luxury sedans. GM said Friday that its Lansing Delta Township plant will get a third shift and 800 more workers to build the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave SUVs, which have three rows of seats. The Lansing Grand River plant will get a second shift and 400 more workers to build two new Cadillac sedans, the CT4 and CT5. Employees laid off at other GM factories will fill the new jobs first, then workers will be added, GM spokesman Dan Flores said. The company has not determined yet how many new people will be needed, he said. Both additional shifts will start working sometime between April and June, the company said. Lansing Delta Township now employs about 2,500 salaried and blue-collar workers, while the Grand River plant has 1,400. GM sold more than 147,000 Traverse SUVs in the U.S. last year, a 0.4% increase from 2018. Enclave sales were up 3% to just over 51,000, according to Autodata Corp. Related Video:
