THANK YOU. 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Custom w/ 600HP -- $43,900.00 Introduction Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS,LLC. You might recognize my name or my business name from beautiful classic cars and trucks I’ve listed for sale nationally. I’ve got over 15 years of classic car and truck experience. I’d like to put that experience to work for you. Over the years I’ve featured many classic cars and trucks at multiple different auctions across the United States. I consign multiple classic cars and trucks at all four of the Barrett Jackson auto auctions every year. I’m considered one of the top consignors at Barrett Jackson. I’ve had many classic cars and trucks sell in the top 25 highest sale priced vehicles for each event. They’ve also offered some of my cars as the “Marc Schiliro Collection”. I was fortunate to have Speed TV at my new facility for an interview for Barrett Jackson that aired during the Barrett Jackson auto auction in Palm Beach 2012. I’m a regular consignor at the Mecum auctions as well. I also have had many cars that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites. I specialize in beautiful classic cars and trucks that have what I call “The Pop Factor”. I purchase classic cars and trucks that are finished, I redesign other people’s restorations and have also coordinated restorations from start to finish. I’m currently not doing full restorations as it takes too much time and money. I love what I do and I’m extremely passionate about it! Two years ago I opened a beautiful new facility located in Seekonk, MA. MS CLASSIC CARS is open to the public on Saturdays. We offer about 25 classic cars and trucks for sale. We also offer complete automotive detailing. Our facility is very neat and organized. When you call you deal directly with me. I appreciate the opportunity. We except all trades. If you’d like to be added to our VIP EMAIL BLAST that gets sent to thousands of people when we get a new addition please visit my website and sign up. Please also like us on Facebook for updates. The power of networking is amazing! Market I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over fifteen years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially the classics! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. Barrett Jackson stated, "Foreigners can sometimes represent 25% of the registered bidders at one of our auctions." At the Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 they stated, "There was a registered bidder from every state in the USA.” I've also learned that no matter the gender or age, all different people appreciate this hobby. Another example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions; not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed Channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. Every year the attendance of visitors at the event and number of viewers on T.V. increase. Over the years I've noticed that the extremely detailed classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Currently the overall market is on the raise once again. Certain classic cars are on the rise and others are on the decline. Typically, the classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people don't own. In other words, there are classic cars that haven't saturated the market. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character. “I’m putting my money where my mouth is” I’m just a 38 year old blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz. I was selling my classic cars and trucks part time. Although I had my used car dealers license I didn’t have a facility that was open to the public. Overall things were going just fine. However, my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership. I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership. I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen and now have a lot more overhead. Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong? I consign anywhere from three to eight cars at each Barrett Jackson auto auction at no reserve because I know there’s always going to be bidders for classic cars and trucks. Short Description 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Custom w/ 600HP “The Incredible Hulk”
This car was built in Fremont, CA as a real SS 396 as both the VIN number and trim tag indicates!
It was originally painted rare Grecian Green and had black bucket seats as the trim tag also indicates!
This car has been completely restored from top to bottom very low mileage since!
From what I’ve gathered and researched it retains all or mostly all of the original sheet metal. The body is straight and the gaps are tight. The hood, doors and trunk open and close as tight as a bank vault!
The exterior was painted in its original rare Grecian Green color. This color is beautiful and gets a lot of compliments. The paint is very nice and worthy of calling it show quality!
Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced such as the glass, stainless trim, bumpers, lights, emblems, etc!
The car is wrapped in new American 15” Torque Thrust wheels with 225/70/15 Copper Cobra front tires and 275/60/15 Nitto Extreme Drag rear tires. This car has a mean stance!
The black interior is beautiful and in great overall condition. This car originally came with a black interior with bucket seats when it left the factory!
Everything in the interior has been restored or replaced including such items as the dash, seat covers, door panels, carpet, headliner, etc. It has very tasteful black and silver Autometer Gauges with white LED background lights, Billet matte black steering wheel, Hurst pistol grip shifter and a Rockford Fosgate Ipod setup and Image Dynamics speakers!
The engine compartment is nicely detailed and home to the massive 496 engine with 600HP!
The engine in this beast was built with no expense spared and was dyno tested at 589HP before my shop changed the cam and retuned it. Now it’s probably over 600HP! It runs on normal high octane pump gas with no issues. Some of the engine upgrades include such items as Dart aluminum heads, Comp cam, PBM Hyd lifters and HD balancer, Edlebrock polished intake and aluminum timing cover, Holley High Performance street 750CFM carburetor and fuel pump, Chevrolet polished valve covers and air cleaner, chrome alternator, MSD ignition, polished pulleys and Optima red top battery!
The engine breathes through Hooker Super Competition ceramic headers with Flow Master mufflers!
The engine is coupled with a Richmond 5-speed transmission with overdrive. It has a Hurst shifter with pistol grip. This is one of the best transmissions on the market and very expensive. The power is put to the pavement through a built 12 bolt rear end with POSI traction!
Power Steering and Power brakes with front disc setup! The trunk compartment is painted with a slight gloss finish and home to the spare tire!
The undercarriage is also nicely detailed with satin black floors. Everything underneath this car has been restored or replaced. It has QA1 adjustable shocks!
“The 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle was the first year for the new Chevelle design which is one of the most recognized muscle cars of all time. In 1968 the VIN number still indicated if the car was a SS model. They changed this in 1969 forward which makes it very hard to know what Chevelles were real SS cars from the factory. The body on this car is very solid and the doors open and close like a safe. This car left the factory in rare Grecian Green which it’s painted today. The car also left the factory with black bucket seats which it still retains today. The interior has tasteful upgrades. The heart of this beast is a built 496 with 600HP! It has the Dyno sheet to prove it. It’s been so dialed in by my shop it starts and runs like a small block. Yes, it runs on pump gas. I’ve collected and sold many muscle cars over the years and this is one of the fastest. The Richmond 5-speed transmission with overdrive is great. I would challenge anyone to find a 1968-1972 Chevelle that has everything this car has to offer in this price range. Good luck with that. Get it before some else does!” Marc Schiliro – “The Owner”
Long Description MS CLASSIC CARS is proud to present a beautiful 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Custom w/600HP! AKA: “The Incredible Hulk”. Attention Chevelle Enthusiasts! You’re about to witness one mean street machine that is ready for the pavement. As my website indicates I’ve collected and sold many beautiful Chevelles. Matter of fact, they’re one of my favorite classic cars of all time. My second classic car was a 1969 Chevelle and ever since I’ve been hooked. This is my first 1968 Chevelle and I’m very excited about it for multiple reasons which I’m listing below. This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle was built in Fremont, California as the VIN number and the trim tag indicate. It is a true SS 396 car as the VIN number and trim tag also indicate. Unfortunately there are a lot of fake muscle cars being advertised on the market for sale. At least with this car you know 100% it was a true SS car when it left the factory new. This car was painted a very rare and beautiful color called Grecian Green as the trim tag indicates. During the restoration process it was painted in its original color which I think is very cool. How many Chevelles have you seen in this color? This car has been completely restored from top to bottom very low mileage since. From what I’ve gathered and researched it retains all or mostly all of the original sheet metal. The body is straight and the gaps are tight. The hood, doors and trunk open and close as tight as a bank vault! The exterior color shines beautifully especially in the sun and gets a lot of compliments. The paint is very nice and worthy of calling it show quality. It does have a few small chips but nothing worth complaining about. Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced such as the glass, stainless trim, bumpers, lights, emblems, etc. The car is wrapped in new American 15” Torque Thrust wheels with 225/70/15 Copper Cobra front tires and 275/60/15 Nitto Extreme Drag rear tires. This car has a mean stance! The black interior is beautiful and in great overall condition. This car originally came with a black interior with bucket seats when it left the factory. The undercarriage is also nicely detailed with satin black floors. Everything underneath this car has been restored or replaced. It has QA1 adjustable shocks! *** One thing that MS CLASSIC CARS does that most other classic cars dealers and private party don’t is we service every classic car and truck. 95% of the classic cars and trucks that I purchase and that are advertised for sale need to be serviced. This 1968 Chevelle was a great find and the gentleman who owned it thought it was great. When I acquired the car I made a list and so did my service department as we do with every vehicle. Our classic vehicles speak for themselves. I invested $3,357.85 my cost making it even better. This would've cost a retail buyer roughly $5000.00! My reputation means everything to me and this is why my vehicles sell quickly. A complete list of the items listed below in no exact order is listed and also pictured below*** • Performed used car inspection • Change oil and filter • Removed broken fan blade and shortened fan bolts • Cleaned and painted the bottom of the oil pan • Removed distributer and disassembled and set the timing curve and vacuum advance • Replaced carburetor with brand new Holley 750 CFM 4150 series • Repaired interior trim panel and door panel. • Set front end alignment • Removed steering wheel and replaced hub under wheel. Also repaired horn wiring • Replaced marker light bulb • Remove the camshaft assembly and installed a more functional custom made camshaft. Adjusted the valvetrain • Replaced V belt and adjusted all belts • Adjusted clutch linkage • Installed new driver’s side door glass • Replaced leaking thermostat housing • Repaired loose door panel • Replaced spark plugs, coolant, gaskets, etc. • MS CLASSIC CARS FULL CLASSIC CAR DETAIL FROM TOP TO BOTTOM! “Make sure to ask the seller of the vehicle your comparing this 1968 Chevelle to if they have a classic car check list showing a complete inspection of the entire vehicle from top to bottom.” “The 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle was the first year for the new Chevelle design which is one of the most recognized muscle cars of all time. In 1968 the VIN number still indicated if the car was a SS model. They changed this in 1970 forward which makes it very hard to know what Chevelles were real SS cars from the factory. Get it before some else does!” Marc Schiliro – “The Owner” *** Inspection Report*** If you read my introduction tab or visited my website you’ll probably agree that I’m a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic cars and trucks. My reputation and feedback speaks for itself. No vehicle is perfect and I want to be 100% upfront about each car. This car is 46 years old and isn’t perfect. Please call me at #508-557-0152 or email me with any questions. I’ll tell you everything I know about the car and go over the entire exterior panel by panel if need be. Thank you. Marc Schiliro “The Owner”. Conclusion What makes MS CLASSIC CARS different from other classic car dealers and from vehicles being marketed privately on the market for sale?

5 classic trucks and their polarizing modern revivals
Sun, Mar 3 2024EVs are helping eliminate Detroit's gas-guzzling problem. Some revivals of gas-powered classics are getting the EV treatment. But not every revived model looks exactly like its original counterpart. We're in a new era of hulking Detroit metal, and you can thank EVs. Americans can't get enough of their big, beefy trucks and SUVs. But for many years, some of the biggest gas guzzlers fell out of fashion as gas prices rose and emissions regulations tightened. But in the past few years, some of the most iconic American truck nameplates have been brought back to life with electric motors, like the GMC Hummer. In other cases, as with the Ford Bronco, improvements in engine technology and more interest in rugged adventure vehicles made a gas-powered revival possible. Even some revivals that started as gas-powered, like the Chevy Blazer and the Jeep Wagoneer, are now getting electrified spinoffs. (Even if they don't always look quite as sleek as their original inspiration.) Here are side-by-sides of five classic American trucks and their modern counterparts. The Jeep Wagoneer 1975 Jeep Wagoneer and 2024 Electric Jeep Wagoneer SStellantis After a long wait, Jeep released its revival of the classic Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer in 2020. Starting later this year, an electric version of the luxury Jeep SUV will join the Wagoneer lineup. The Chevrolet Blazer A 1973 Chevrolet Blazer and a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EVGetty Images, General Motors The Chevrolet Blazer was first rebooted in 2019 as a sporty family SUV. The modern Blazer shares zero resemblance to its boxy, off-roading older sibling, but it has still managed to become one of Chevy's more popular SUVs in recent years. The Blazer EV came later, and was one of the first models GM built on its new Ultium battery platform. The Hummer A Hummer H2 and the 2023 Hummer EV pickup truckGetty Images, General Motors Once the poster child for Detroit's big, bad gas guzzlers, the Hummer got new life as an electric pickup truck in 2021. The Ford Bronco A 1971 Ford Bronco and a 2022 Ford BroncoFord Motor Co. After a rouge group of engineers and designers inside Ford spent years trying to breathe life back into the Blue Oval's boxy off-roader, the Ford Bronco was finally resurrected in 2020 amid a rise in popularity for rugged adventure vehicles. The Ford Ranger 1985 Ford Ranger and a 2024 Ford RangerFord Motor Co.
Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette
Thu, 14 Feb 2013When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.
Mark Reuss: GM can't afford product 'misses,' has 'thought about' CT6 V-Series
Thu, Apr 9 2015Mark Reuss is a busy man. He oversees General Motors' global product portfolio, an all-encompassing task for a company that sold more than 9.9 million cars and trucks last year. When GM launches a well-received product, like the road-going rocket ship that is the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 – he gets credit. When the company stumbles with the slow-selling Chevy Malibu or grapples with fallout from the decade-old Saturn Ion and its flawed ignition switch, he gets blamed. GM owners, the press and sometimes the federal government, demand answers. Bob Lutz famously held the job before Reuss. So did Mary Barra, who's now GM's chief executive. There's a New GM, but the lineage is connected to a long history. When he's not thinking product, Reuss, an executive vice president, also runs the purchasing and supply chain for the company, which is still one of the largest industrial empires in the world. We caught up with Reuss on the floor of the New York Auto Show, where GM had just rolled out two crucial new products: the 2016 Cadillac CT6 and the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. Speaking with a small group of reporters, Reuss delved into a variety of subjects, including the new Malibu, Cadillac's future (he thinks the ATS-V is going to "flame the M3 and M4"), and other topics. On fixing the Malibu: "We can't miss. We can't have those kinds of misses [like the previous generation] on our cars and crossovers and trucks. We can't do that. If we do that, we give a reason for someone to go buy something else. It's that simple. "On a car like the Malibu we have a chance to really fix all of that, which we have, and then lead. Then you've got a real opportunity there. So that's what we've really been focused on here – to fix those things." He later added: "We need that car here to transform Chevrolet desperately because it's the heart of the market. And when you think of Chevrolet, people will come back and think about what we did with the [new] Malibu and the Cruze... It's hugely important to us." On Cadillac: "If we go out and try and out-German the Germans, it's probably not going to work. We've got an opportunity here generationally where there's a lot of people younger than me that have parents that drove BMWs and Mercedes, and I think there's an opportunity there for those people to drive something different than what their parents did, and I think that's always been an opportunity in the auto industry if you look at the history of it.
