1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport on 2040-cars
Denver, Colorado, United States
More details at: alvertaarrough@ukhot.com .
67 Chevelle SS 396 4-speed. This is a REAL 138 code SS with its original trim tag decoding as; 4-speed transmission, tinted glass, seat belts and factory 8 track player with four speaker option. It is a factory front bench seat car too! The engine compartment is very original and untouched. Unfortunately, in ‘69 the original 396/325hp block was replaced, but the heads, intake, exhaust manifolds, distributor, alternator, transmission and 12 bolt rear end are all original to the car and are matching numbers. The engine runs great and starts right up every time, no strange noises and no oil leaks. The transmission (which retains its original GM shifter) shifts very smooth and feels great. Clutch is very smooth. Rear end is quiet and fine.
The interior is beautiful. The dash is all original with no cracks on the dash pad. The gauges are working show very lite patina along with the headliner. Beautiful original door panels. The seats and carpet have been replaced with correct original style materials and look really nice. Overall, the interior is very impressive. All of the glass is nice with no cracks. All of the stainless trim and bright work are nice with no pitting.

MotorWeek's 80's GM muscle coupe roundup includes Regal GN and Monte Carlo SS
Thu, Jan 29 2015Even with just four brands in the family, General Motors still represents a performance powerhouse. Between the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Camaro Z/28, Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, The General can still deliver plenty of thrills. The 1980s, though, saw the brand go even crazier with performance. While the Camaro and Corvette were still around back in the day, GM had a number of other interesting performance offerings. The Bowtie was complemented by the long-deceased Monte Carlo SS, while the now-defunct Pontiac and Oldsmobile offered the Grand Prix and thumping 442, respectively. And Buick, which isn't short on performance with its Regal GS and Verano Turbo, offered a much more serious vehicle, in the form of the Grand National (not to mention the Darth Vader-spec GNX). MotorWeek, in its hugely entertaining retro flashbacks, looks back on these three long-lost GM performance icons, and it's just as good as you might expect. Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]
Tue, 19 Mar 2013This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...
