1967 MALIBU IN A NUT SHELL: This is a good running good looking car! The read paint is nice, the 350 engine runs very strong, the Turbo 350 engine shifts like it should, the chrome is nice, the interior good, but not all new, the brakes are disc on the front and drums on the rear, the steering is good the car is power steering, the wheels 18 inch on front and 20 inch on the rear and they are Coys, the floors look original to me with a couple of very small patches, the car runs out very good.
VIN: 136177A176326 MILEAGE: 108607 TITLE: Clear Ohio title in hand. HISTORY: I cannot tell you a thing other than what I see and inspect.
IF YOU STILL HAVE INTEREST:::: The rest is lots of details about the car, how to buy, how to pay, where the car is and who I am.
WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of
WILL I SELL THE CAR OFF EBAY MOTORS? Yes, I'm not crazy, I know the most of you are not registered on ebay and use it as a research tool.
MY REAL PRICE IS $19,999: That's what it takes to buy the car on or off ebay motors, you dealers wanting to resell have to pay the same. I have been doing this for a long time and I know the game, I don't play it the same as most and I sell every car I put for sell.
PLEASE NO TRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, but I will not trade, why should I trade when I have a hot selling car, I don't need motor cycles, boats, jewelry or your used false teeth.
I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY!!!!! I worship on sunday, I spend time with my family and I rest. I'm doing this because I love it, "I need a day off". I will be happy to show you cars 6 days a week, call in advance to set up a time, "I'm 67 years old and life is more than just cars".
Sorry, but I do not do videos: I'm old and don't want to learn and mess with them, I sell my cars anyway.
IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? The underside looks good, but not sanded smooth and detailed for show. The frame, supports and bottom panels all look very good to me. The car has no real thick under coating so you can see the floors good, they look original. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find and the title states none. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a retired mechanic/auto-mechanic instructor/was a Army helicopter mechanic and instructor. When I find a truck or car I like for a good price I buy it fix things and resell for a fair profit. I did not restore this car, I just fixed a few things.
IS THIS A MATCHING NUMBERS CAR? I don't think so.
PAINT: The paint is very shinny, the panel fit is pretty good, the doors close pretty good, no dents, I think there is even a ding. If you look with a critical eye you will see some very small touched up chips. I consider the paint extra nice for a drive and enjoy car. It looks plenty good for local car shows, its not a perfect 100 point show car. The paint is base coat clear coat with no real orange peel and no runs, I see a little swimmy in the clear under my bright fluoresce lights, but its super nice outside. CHROME: The chrome and bright work all looks good to me, the bumpers have no dulling and no rusty pits. The emblems are good and the window stainless decent, but not new.
INTERIOR: No smoke smell, the seat covers are good with some looseness on the bucket seat bottoms. The headliner very good, door panels good, carpet nice, drivers kick panel has some cracks, the dash pad very good, the sun visors good with some loose treads on the drivers.
UNSERSIDE: Solid, but not painted shinny to put mirrors under at the car show. I think the floors are original, 2 little patches on the front near the toe boards, you can see them in my pictures, they are small. I could have ground them and put thin under coating on the bottom, but there is no thick under coating now and you can see what your getting. GLASS: The side glasses roll up and down good and look good. ENGINE: Engine runs very good, no knocks or rattles and no bad oil leaks, it has all Edelbrock chrome, carburetor, fuel pump, with a chrome water pump .
EXHAUST SYSTEM: Dual exhaust in good condition, the mufflers look and sound like Flow Masters to me, the sound is real Muscle Car. TRANSMISSION: Its a Turbo 350 that shifts good with a BM shifter that works good. REAR-END: It has no bearing noises, no growls, its a 10 bolt, its a good highway gearing. BRAKES: Good with disc on front and drums on the rear, not power. STEERING: The cars drives very good, it is power steering, lots of new front end parts like ball joints and bushings.
WHEELS AND TIRES: Nice Coy wheels, the fronts are 18 inch, the backs 20 inch. The fronts look like 7 inch and the back like 9 inch. A little rub on the front, but it is causing no problem.
LIGHTS: They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work, dome light is working.
GUAGES: Gas gauge works. Oil, temp and volts are in a pod under the dash and work.
GLASS: Side window roll up and down good and are in good condition, the windshield has no cracks and no bad marks, but it is very bubbly around the edges. I would replace the windshield.
RADIO: NOT WORKING and the dash is not cut.
SORRY, I did not get a spare tire with the car and I am out as well as our local junk yard.
WIPERS WORK! SPEEDOMETER WORKS!
Heater blower works, but a switch is mounted under the dash.
HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE and panel fit? I think the doors fit and open very good, the hood and trunk fit good for the year.
WOULD I DRIVE THE CAR HOME ON A LONG TRIP: I never recommend driving a old car home, I just test drive them and drive them some around town, but I do think this car would drive anywhere.
DID I RESTORE THIS CAR? No!
WHY DON'T I FIX EVERYTHING: It runs the cost up and I have too many projects.
TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard! The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com
PAPERWORK: I know what to do! WE DO NOT HAVE A SHOW ROOM WITH OVERHEAD! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the vehicle “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my garage in US OR EXPORT "Nations Auto Transport" is located in the Kansas City area: This is a good company that will handle any type of transport in the Call Jim Page....his work number is 816-295-6887 and his email is jpage@shipnat.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take this by PayPal, but not full payment. Option 1: Pay the old school way with green face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the most checks clear, I have had a fake bank certified check. I will take a bank cashiers check with lots of identification and advance notice so I can check you out. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the transfer. I will not give out my banking information until I get your information. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 66 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but lots of them do not impress me at all, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first, I will not stop the listing and wait for a inspector! TRADES: Please no trades!
I do not finance cars! If your going to finance, get pre-approved.
BOTTOM LINE: My price is really $19,999, I am firm and asking more on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down, but I don't like that game. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down.
PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No! Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild
Tue, 12 Feb 2013This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.
