I'm selling my 2000 Chevy Cavalier Z24 2.4L w/ manual transmission. Super low miles, currently 41,316. I am the original and only owner, clean title in hand. The car is in excellent shape and is completly reliable. There are many added or custom options to this car. The best being the GM Performace Parts supercharger kit. This kit was produced by GM specifically for this engine. Consider it a factory option. The car is crazy fun to drive and still gets 32 MPG on the highway! The following are the upgrades on the car (over $6000!):

  • GMPP Supercharger Kit
  • Wings West ground effects kit
  • 17" Konig MP3 wheels, white. They have a few scuffs.
  • RK Sport fully adjustable coilover kit. One piece shocks, not some insert or sleeve contraption.
  • Eibach sway bar set
  • Spec Clutch
  • Spec lightweight flywheel
  • Borla cat back exhaust. Sounds great, nothing like a lawn mower.
  • Throttle body bored out
  • Warm air intake, K&N filter
  • MSD Ignition
  • Short throw shifter. Not just a cut down stem.
  • Pioneer DEH-940MP head unit with iPhone / iPod connector & 6 disc CD changer in glove box.
  • Pioneer Speakers
  • Corbeau front seats
  • Back seat and door panels covered in black to match Corbeau seats
  • Custom cowl hood. Can change to factory hood if you prefer.
  • Custom headlights with Hella projectors & HID kit. Can change to factory headlamps if you prefer.
  • Tinted windows. 35%

Everything on the car is in working order except the A/C. I never used it, at some point it lost it's charge. The only cosmetic issues are a small dent in the hood (smaller than a quarter), some paint chips (visible in pics), some scratches on the wheels and ground effects and a few cracks in the upper dash (Cavaliers are notorious for this).

2016 Chevy Volt to make auto show debut this season

Wed, Jul 30 2014

Ever since we saw that spy shots of the 2016 Chevy Volt, we've been hungering for more information on the next-gen version of GM's green halo car. It appears we might not have long to wait, at least for an official tease. An inside source that wishes to remain anonymous told AutoblogGreen that GM will make two announcements regarding the second-gen Volt at the CAR Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, MI next week. The first, and most intriguing, is that that we will get our first glimpse of the new Volt at some point during the upcoming auto show season. That means either Los Angeles later this year or else Detroit, Chicago or New York in early 2015. The second bit of news is that GM will be moving production of the electric motors from Mexico to Michigan. Details and official confirmation are, of course, missing and Chevrolet declined comment to AutoblogGreen. We should know more next week.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
