Selling my 2011 Chevy Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle (PPV). I purchased this car brand new from a Chevy dealer with the intention of keeping it for many years to come but, unfortunately, I'm expecting to change careers in the near future so the car must go. Car is loaded with features, such as: power locks, power windows, CD player, T.P.M.S. sensors, full size and matching spare wheel/tire & aftermarket tinted windows (35% tint both front doors and 20% tint both rear doors & rear glass). Owners manual, original window sticker & 2 sets of keys are also included. Original M.S.R.P. is a little over $32,000.
Performance features include: 6.0L V8 engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, the engine has over 350 hp @ 5,700 rpm and produces torque of 384 lbs.-ft. @ 4,400 rpm. 0-60 m.p.h. in less than 6 seconds. Has current police "performance tune", which includes a "normal" drive mode, a "sport" shift mode and a "performance" mode; all of which can be changed with the push of a button. Be the first private citizen on your block to own this great car!
Car is still in pristine condition both inside and out. Always kept clean and never driven in inclement weather. Always garaged every night and when not being driven.
All reasonable offers welcome. I will answer all questions within 12 hours of receiving them. No trades, please. Car is financed and I will work with the financial institution to provide the title at time of sale. However, if the title can not be provided at time of sale it will be sent via "overnight" mail when available. If needed, I can store the car in the garage for 30 days after auction ends but full payment is still due within 7 days of auction end. Please only bid if you have the funds to pay for this car....I just had to relist it due to no communication or deposit from the previous winner/bidder!
Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction early if sold locally. First reasonable offer will be accepted!

Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]
Sun, 03 Feb 2013The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.
Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible gives us a couple of looks
Sat, 02 Mar 2013Put away your pixel paintbrushes, kids. Pack up your Photoshop. This is the real-deal 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible in its first official images. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.
Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial.
One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well.
