except for badging/emblems This one was my daily driver/resto mod for 3
years.I have put over $6000.00 in this one in the past three years in new and
upgraded parts.to get it back to original condition or better. the following is a list of some parts and
upgrades that were added new moog front drag link,tie rods and pitman
arm,other front end parts 4 new moog high performance coil springs front is
1' inch lower than stock rear is 1" higher so the car has a more
aggressive stance and better handling 4 new shocks 5 new kumho z-rated radials 255/50/ZR 17 on original reconditioned ss
rims with new aftermarket center caps, with less than 5,000
miles new alternator new water pump and thermostat all new A/C system, compressor, evaporator, drier,

installed, I know I am forgetting some of the new things
added,not to mention countless time and labor spent improving and replacing
parts the 5.7 LT1 has about 50,000 on the rebuilt
engine,so I was told by the original previous owner,who owned it since new for
15 years,runs very strong no leaks ,does not burn any oil, never driven in snow and or salt roads/mostly
garage kept the car
handles like a dream even on sharp turns with all the new suspension and
steering parts added,not like a big boat as some of the older ss's do. bid with confidence this car was built and
maintained and driven mostly by me an ASE certified mechanic,that is an amateur
racer also The car is very reliable I would not hesitate to
drive it anywhere , I drove it over 1000 miles with no issues the only real reason I am selling is because I
have too many other toys and projects my number one being a 90% restored 67 pontiac firebird conv HO I have a buyer that is interested in buying it for $8000.00 in December but I will be back overseas by than for 6 months to a year so would like to sell it now so I came down in price any questions just ask thanks |

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices
Mon, 21 Oct 2013The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.
