I have for sale a 1995 Chevy Caprice former US Marshall Car and Originally a 9C1 Police car from the factory. The car is dark green in color with gray interior and all power options. Included for options are Power Windows, Power Drivers Seat, Cruise Control, Rear Defrost, Power Mirrors, Air Conditioning and 4 Wheel Disk Brakes. I have put thousands of Dollars in new parts very recently. I drive this car often and is not afraid of miles. Its a perfect driving car and everything on this car works!

Originally this car came with the LT1 5.7 Engine when I purchased it 3 years ago. The oil pan had a nasty hole in it so I removed the leaking and tired 5.7 and swapped it with the baby LT1 4.3 Liter L99 V8 engine. It was done 100% correctly with the correct computer and tuning. I wanted a little better fuel milage but this motor has excellent horsepower. When I removed the motor I went through the engine I put in the car. This car comes with a recent water pump, newer plugs and wires, all new gaskets on the motor. It has new valve cover gaskets, new oil pan gasket, optispark seals, and a resealed intake. This motor leaks and uses no fluids. It runs good and is very reliable. It has newer hoses and a newer radiator as well. The air conditioner works awsome and will freeze you out.

I recently put a new Transmission in this car. It has a 1300$ 4L60E completely rebuild transmission in it. I have the paperwork and original warranty. The transmission has roughly 17,000 miles on it right now. It works perfectly and should last forever. I had it rebuilt by a professional and did not skimp on price.

This car also comes with 4 brand NEW tires. I say 100% tread on all 4 since these were new a couple weeks ago. 2 new Goodyears on the rear and 2 new Generals on the front. I also put brand new rear shocks on this car a month ago. Recently this has 4 new brakes on all 4 wheels within the last 6 months including new calipers on the rear. The fuel pump is fairly recent with the last couple years as well. I also put brand new headlights on this car last summer.

This car is a used car and has a few minor defect but nothing serious. The paint looks good on most of the car. There are no big dents or serious damage on the car. It really cleans up nicely inside and out. This is NOT a rust bomb Caprice. It is doing very well in the rust department for a Caprice of its age. This is a used car and does have some miles. I am not sure if the odometer is accurate. It seems like this car could have less miles. The digital speedometer and ALL gauges work 100% correctly.

Everything on this car works. I can name nothing that does not work 100% like it would have out of the factory. Fuel milage ranges between 23 and 28 mpg. This car is good on fuel for a big car and has never left me stranded. If you are going to focus on what the odometer says this car may not be for you. This car has Thousands in very recent new parts. It runs and drives great and will make someone a good cheap car. I have personally looked at cars around the 4000 to 5000$ range that had 10 times more issues than this car does. I can tell you everything about this car up and down. I know it like a book.

Keep in mind I also own and operate the largest Caprice, Impala SS, Roadmaster and Fleetwood Salvage yard in the world that I know of. I deal exclusively in these cars and their parts. LT1 and L99 Engines. I have other ebay listing for parts at all times. I know every nut and bolt on this car and everything you need to know I can tell you. I recently purchased a very nice Buick Roadmaster 1995 to replace this car. I do not need them both that is why this is for sale. Otherwise I have no reason for selling this.

I reserve the right to reject or block anyone from bidding on this that I feel will be a threat for non payment. If you have a low ebay rating please contact me first. I am located in West Central Iowa. The car has a clear clean title in hand. It will drive anywhere today.

GM recalls Colorado, Canyon, and Malibu for airbag problem

Wed, Mar 9 2016

The Basics: General Motors will recall and issue a stop sale on 1,740 total examples of the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, Malibu, and GMC Canyon. This includes 1,579 units in the US and 161 in Canada. The Problem: The second stage of the driver front airbag inflator might not be present. If this happens, the airbag won't fill as quickly as it should in a high-speed crash, which could increase the risk of injury, according to Reuters. This is not related in any way to Takata's inflator problems, and these parts come from a different supplier. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: GM will replace the vehicles' airbag assemblies. If You Own One: GM spokesperson Tom Wilkinson told Autoblog he wasn't specifically sure when recall repairs would begin but said it would be "shortly." He expects the fixes to happen "quickly" because of the small number of affected vehicles, and many of them are either in transport or already in dealer stock. More Information: GM recalled the 2015 Canyon and Colorado in 2014 for a completely separate airbag issue. In that case, a manufacturing error improperly wired the connectors. Related Video: GM Statement GM is recalling 1,579 MY 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Malibu vehicles in the United States and 161 in Canada to replace driver-side front airbags. The second stage of the airbag may not deploy properly in certain high-speed crashes. During a routine quality inspection, it was determined that a component required for a second-stage/high-output deployment was not loaded during the inflator build. Dealers will replace the driver-side front airbag assembly. There have been no reports of crashes or injuries related to this issue. This issue is unrelated to the ongoing Takata recalls.

'84 MotorWeek Cherokee, Bronco and Blazer comparison indulges your SUV nostalgia

Fri, Jan 16 2015

These days, truck-based, full-frame SUVs are somewhat of a rarity on the auto landscape due to the rapid rise in popularity of easier-driving, car-based crossovers. Although, without the gradually building popularity of these chunky, high-riding vehicles decades ago, it's unlikely that America's roads would be filled with so many CUVs today. In its latest dig into the archives, MotorWeek has found a 1984 comparison test of a trio of these early Sport Utility Wagons, as long-time host John Davis called them, that helped get acceptance of this segment going. This is a red, white and blue test of the SUVs from American automakers at the time and pits the Chevrolet Blazer, Ford Bronco and Jeep Cherokee (specifically in Wagoneer guise) against each other. Driving manners and interior usability are considered in the evaluation, but Motorweek actually takes these vehicles off road, too. Among the bigger revelations is the improvement in on-road ability in the past 30 years. While specific 0-60 times aren't given, all three models take around 10 seconds just to get to around 50 miles per hour in the 500-feet on-ramp acceleration test. Check out this clip to see just how far this segment has progressed in the past three decades or just get a blast of nostalgia from these now vintage models.
