Doing my part to help #teamjack TEAM JACK is helping Jack Hoffman of Atkinson, Nebraska who has brain cancer.   Lets help this little man. 15% of the sale of this vehicle will go to help him and his foundation.

The first picture is one of my favorites but it is indeed a white vehicle. White exterior, Red/Tan interior. Selling as is no warranty.

I bought it from the McCook, NE Police Department in 1999. I am the 2nd owner.  It was used to transport inmates back and forth to court as I was told.

I live about 5-6 blocks from my office and used it as a work vehicle for the duration of my ownership.

In August 2013 she got new performance plugs & wires, distributor (Optispark vented), ignition coil, ignition control module, cam & crank seals, water pump, fuel pump & strainer, fuel filter and has a 2/3 full 23 gallon gas tank. It has Indy 500 tires on it and they have about 1/3-1/2 tread left on them.  The wheels are off a Chevy 1500 Pickup and dress it up nicely.

It does need a few touch ups: a/c needs sealed and recharged - A new windshield may be in its future at some point, but the cracks do not obstruct the view...needs a new latch for the glove box, an exhaust manifold gasket and a rear axle seal gasket, and a new starter (its going out) but that's it. Only thing that needs replaced to run all over the United States is the starter.  Probably can get it fixed for under $120 and I have priced the vehicle accordingly.  My radio and speakers got ripped out and stolen.  They recovered the radio but not the speakers or amps - I haven't put the radio back in yet.   Has a few hail dents on it and a few love spots, but you would be hard pressed to find one that runs and drives as nice as this one.  The dent on the rear passenger door was accomplished while it was being transported to me when I bought it. Under 97000 actual miles. Gets around good in all weather if you drive sensibly.  Don't try to put it to the floor on ice or snow...you'll end up going the other way.

The governor is set at 108mph, but it can be removed to do as you please...   I took out the carpet and seats a few years back.  Both front seats are power.  Only the driver seat is hooked up as there was no power in the passenger seat prior.  It needs a full detailing, but what car doesn't?

It has been in one incident where there was a guy stopped in front of me at a stop sign.  He was pulled out too far in the intersection and backed into me.  The frame was not damaged.  The hood, front grille (Impala replacement), and bumper were replaced - that was in August 2003.  Another person was driving my vehicle in May and backed into an Escalade - did $4000 damage to it, but not a scratch on the Caprice.  Both of these incidents are listed on the Experian AutoCheck and on Carfax.

I will require $500 deposit within 24 hours that is non-refundable upon sale of vehicle.  I have the title in hand and can provide a notary for the bill of sale. A CARFAX has been pulled on this vehicle for you and shows the full history of this vehicle.  All service was conducted at the same location here in North Platte, NE.  Don't miss out on this almost Impala SS clone!

8 cars we're most looking forward to driving in 2015

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Now that 2014 is officially in the books, it's time to look ahead. And following our list of the cars we liked best last year, we're now setting our sights at the hot new metal that's coming our way in 2015. Some of these, we've already seen. And some are still set to debut during the 2015 auto show season. But these are the machines that keep us going – the things on the horizon that we're particularly stoked to drive, and drive hard. Jeep Renegade Not the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Not the Ford Mustang GT350. Not the new John Cooper Works Mini. Nope, I'm looking forward to the adorable, trail-rated Jeep Renegade. And that's because I really, really, really like our long-term Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I do not, however, care too much for the Cherokee's looks, and I really don't like its $38,059 price tag. The Renegade Trailhawk, meanwhile, promises much of the same rough-and-tumble character as its big brother, but at what we expect will be a more reasonable price (I'm personally wagering on the baby Jeep's off-road model starting at no more than $23,000). With a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a nine-speed automatic, it should also be a bit easier to fill than the V6-powered Cherokee. Also, I can't help but love the way the Renegade looks. It's like someone took a Wrangler, squished it by 50 percent and then handed it off to George Clinton for a healthy dose of funk. The interior, with its bright, expressive trims and color schemes should also be a really nice place to spend some time. I'll be attending the Renegade's launch later this month, so I'll have a much shorter wait than my colleagues. Here's hoping the baby Jeep lives up to my expectations. – Brandon Turkus Associate Editor Mazda MX-5 Miata Here's an uncomfortable truth: I'd rather spend a day driving a properly sorted Mazda MX-5 Miata of any generation on a winding road than I would nearly any other vehicle, regardless of power, price or prestige. It's not just that I prize top-down driving and enjoy the Miata's small size because it gives me more road to play with. I just find there's more motoring joy to be had with high-fidelity handling and an uncorrupted car-to-driver communication loop than I do with face-distorting power or grip – let alone valet-stand gravitas. But perhaps most of all, I love Miatas because they can deliver that level of feedback and driver reward at modest speeds that won't put the locals on edge or endanger lives – you can use more of the car more of the time.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat vs. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in latest Head 2 Head

Fri, Jan 30 2015

"Olympian" is one of the terms we use to signify the greatest height, the seat of the gods. Yet Mt. Olympus is the second-highest peak in the Balkans ranges, overshadowed by the crest at Musala in Bulgaria's Rila mountains. Both great heights, but one is a little higher. That's how we get the Olympian Chevy Camaro ZL1 pitched at the Musalic Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in Motor Trend's latest episode of Head 2 Head. The side-by-side spec sheet is filled with farcical numbers. For the ZL1, that's a 6.2-liter V8 with 580 horsepower, 556 pound-feet of torque, a 4,051-pound curb weight, 0-to-60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 12.2 seconds and a base price of just $57,800. Opposing that, the Hellcat wrings out its 6.2-liter V8 for 707 hp, 650 lb-ft of torque, weighs 4,449 pounds, does the quarter in 11.7 seconds and has a base price of just $60,990. Except in the case of the Hellcat, when Motor Trend put it on the dyno the machine spit out a reading of 672 hp and 606 lb-ft at the wheels. If there's a 10-percent driveline loss through those beefed-up internals and heavy-duty eight-speed transmission, that means the Hellcat is actually rated at about 750 horsepower and 700 lb-ft. But once they get put on a closed-off strip of coast road in Northern California, there are only a few strands of hair between their respective performances. That's not the case for they sensations provide; host Jonny Lieberman calls one of them, "One of the most incredible cars ever made," and says, "It changes everything." Watch the video above to see who got the verdict and how. Related Video:
