1992 Chevrolet Chevy Caprice Wagon Lowrider >very Clean< on 2040-cars

Year:1992 Mileage:140759
Location:

Clarkston, Michigan, United States

Clarkston, Michigan, United States

Here is a beautiful, rust-free Chevy station wagon. The car is very clean & has been lowered several inches for a good-looking, aggressive stance, but still rides like a '92 Caprice should. Tinted windows and custom exhaust. 18" chrome wheels, front tires have less than 3,000 miles, rears have 50% tread. The car is very reliable - runs great, no leaks & gets over 20 mpg. We took this car to Florida & back without any problems & it was a comfortable ride all the way! I would love to hold on to this car, but am getting a divorce & it needs to go.
  • 305 V8 (5.0)
  • Runs great, no leaks
  • No rust
  • Custom springs & shocks
  • Chrome 18" wheels
  • Tinted windows
  • Custom exhaust, mild custom air intake
  • Power everything, including driver's seat
  • A/C
  • 8 passenger with rear-facing 3rd row
  • No rust
The rear tailgate swings open for easy passenger access, or folds down like a truck. Both 2nd & 3rd row seats fold flat and this car could haul 4x8 sheets if needed - tons of interior space!
This car is fun to drive & gets tons of attention, but it is a 22 year-old vehicle with 140k miles, & does have normal wear-and-tear. Cruise control does not work & the right rear seat belt (2nd row) does not retract. There is a ding in the front right door & a small dent on the hood (almost looks like a previous owner shut the hood onto an oil filler cap - see pics). Vehicle is sold as-is & is for sale locally - I reserve the right to end the auction early if car is sold. No delivery - pick up only. I hold a clear title & will release it when all funds are cleared.

GM files for Z71 Trail Boss trademark

Mon, Jan 26 2015

Try as they might to keep their plans a secret, automakers have their hands tipped through a variety of methods – be they through loose lips, spy shots or patent and trademark applications. That's how we know, in this instance, that General Motors is working on (or at least considering) an off-road machine wearing the name Z71 Trail Boss – the name which our compatriots at AutoGuide.com tell us that GM has registered for use on light-duty trucks. Now if that alphanumeric designator sounds familiar, it should. GM has long used it to designate the off-road packages on many of its body-on-frame trucks from Chevy and GMC. These days you can order a Z71 package on the Chevy Colorado, Silverado, Tahoe and Suburban and on the GMC Canyon, Sierra and Yukon. The package typically includes components like a beefed-up suspension bits, high-capacity air cleaner and underbody protection plates. The Trail Boss designator would seem to suggest something further reaching than a suspension package, though. Just what it would entail we don't know; minds immediately start running toward Chevy or GMC going after the Ford F-150 Raptor, but we'll likely be looking at something closer to the Trailhawk packages Jeep offers on the likes of the Renegade and Cherokee. First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.

First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.
