THIS WAS MY LATE UNCLES DREAM MACHINE HE REALLY LOVED TO TAKE US KIDS OUT ON THESE LONG RIDES BACK IN THE DAY THE RIDE WAS TOTALLY AMAZING AS IT IS TODAY. I HAVE TO SAY FOR A CAR THAT IS 25 YEARS OLD ITS A PRETTY LOOKER AND STILL LOOKS LIKE A DREAM THEY SURE DONT MAKE CARS LIKE THIS ANY MORE!! LETS START BY TELLING YOU SOME THINGS ABOUT THIS CAR AS IT SITS TODAY, MY UNCLE RECENTLY PASSED AND LEFT THE CAR IN THE FAMILY TO SEND OFF WITH A GREAT POTENTIAL PERSON TO KEEP IT GOING THE WAY UNCLE JIM WOULD HAVE LIKED IT TO BE. WELL HERE GOES THE CAR CAN USE A LITTLE TLC AND WHEN I SAY TLC I MEAN SMALL THINGS THAT WILL KEEP HER A CLASSIC THAT SHE IS TODAY.
THIS CAR WAS VERY WELL MAINTAINED BY MY UNCLE TIL ALMOST HIS VERY LAST DAY. WHENEVER THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR HE RAN VERY FAST TO GET IT TAKEN CARE OF WHICH WAS EITHER AT HIS OLD MAN MECHANIC OR AT THE CAR DEALER ITSELF WHICH WAS NOT VERY OFTEN BECAUSE THE CAR SERVED HIM WELL.
OIL HAVE BEEN CHANGED RELIGIOUSLY EVERY 3,000 MILES
AS WELL AS THE REST OF THE FLUIDS THAT HAD TO BE CHANGED.
CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTS AS FAR AS I KNOW THE BODY IS PRETTY SOLID I SHOULD KNOW I BRUISED MY ANKLE ON IT 4 TIMES ALREADY.
CARS INTERIOR IS GORGEOUS THE SEATS (VELOUR) HAVE NO TEARS OR RIPS AND THE DASHBOARD IS ALL INTACT, THE AIR CONDITIONAL BLOWS OUT ICE COLD THE COMPRESSOR AND FREON ARE AWESOME ANOTHER PLUS FOR A 25 YEAR OLD CAR.
THE CHEVY V8 305 ENGINE WITH 4 BARREL CARB IS VERY STRONG AND PURRS LIKE A KITTEN SHE DONT BURN ANY OIL OR LEAK ANY OIL AND FOR A 25 YEAR OLD CAR THATS TRULY INCREDIBLE PLUS THE TRANSMISSION IS SUPERB AS WELL IT SHIFTS BETTER THAN MY NEWER MODEL CAR OF TODAY!
I NOTED EARLIER IN THIS AD THAT THIS CAR NEEDED SOME TLC SO HERE IS WHAT NEEDS TLC ... AS YOU KNOW CARS DO SOME AGING OVER THE YEARS AND START TO NEED THNGS TO KEEP THEM PRETTY THE INTERIOR HAS A HEADLINER THAT IS COMING DOWN ON THE CAR WHICH IS A COMMON GM PROBLEM OVER THE YEARS, ALSO ON THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR PANEL THE PULL HANDLE SCREW CAN BE REPLACES AS WELL, THE OTHER THING THAT IT NEEDS IS MINOR BODY RUST ON THE REAR DOOR ALONG WITH A PIECE OF CHROME TRIM THAT GOES AROUND THE WHEEL WELL OF THE PASSENGER SIDE WHICH IS ALSO GOING TO BE IN PICTURES FOR YOU TO SEE THE OTHER MINOR THING WITH THE CAR IS THAT THE TOP OF THE DRIVERS SIDE WINSHIELD AT ONE TIME A ROCK HIT IT AND MY UNCLE HAD IT FILLED BEFORE IT SPREAD ITS A PERFECT FILL AND WILL PASS AND HAS PASSED INSPECTION MANY TIMES BUT IN THE RESTORATION WORLD PEOPLE MAY WANT TO CHANGE IT BUT NOT NECESSARY. IM ALSO VERY NEGOTIABLE. SO COME TAKE A LOOK!!
THE CAR AT THE PRESENT MOMENT HAS PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW WHITE WALLS WITH STILL ALOT OF THREAD WHICH ARE MUD AND SNOW TIRES WHICH ARE ON ORIGINAL SPOKE HUBCAPS, IT HAS A FAIRLY NEW BATTERY AND ALMOST A FULL TANK OF GAS AND A SPARE TIRE THAT HAS NEVER BEEN USED . IT ALSO PASSED INSPECTION LAST IN 2012 AND THAT IS THE YEAR MY UNCLE HAD LEFT US. SINCE 2010 IT HAS BEEN STARTED EVERY DAY AND DRIVEN JUST ABOUT EVERY OTHER DAY JUST TO KEEP THE JUICES FLOWING. THIS CAR IS ONLY BEEN OWNED AND OPERATED BY MY UNCLE JIM SO ITS A ONE OWNER TRUE MILEAGE VEHICLE. I DONT KNOW MUCH MORE I CAN TELL ABOUT THIS LUXURY SEDAN BUT IF I THINK OF SOMETHING I WILL MAKE SURE I GET IT IN THIS DESCRIPTION. BUT IN THE MEAN TIME IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME AND SEE THIS VEHICLE OR TALK ABOUT THIS VEHICLE YOU CAN CALL ME AT: (201)497-4118 IF I DO NOT ANSWER YOU CAN LEAVE ME A VOICE MESSAGE AND I WILL RETURN YOUR CALLS AS FAST AS I CAN YOU WILL SEE SOME PICTURES OF THIS CAR THAT WERE JUST TAKEN THIS WEEK THANK YOU AGAIN AND HAPPY
BIDDING .... I HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON.

Best and Worst GM Cars
Thu, Apr 7 2022Oh yes, because we just love receiving angry letters from devoted Pontiac Grand Am enthusiasts, we have decided to go there. Based on a heated group Slack conversation, the topic came up about the best and worst GM cars. First of all time, and then those currently on sale, and then just mostly a rambling discussion of Oldsmobiles our parents and grandparents owned (or engineered). Eventually, three of us made the video above. Like it? Maybe we can make more. Many awesome GM cars are definitely going unmentioned here, so please let us know your bests and worsts in the comments below. Mostly, it's important to note that this post largely exists as a vehicle for delivering the above video that dives far deeper into GM's greatest hits and biggest flops, specifically those from the 1980s and 1990s. What you'll find below is a collection of our editors identifying a best current and best-of-all-time choice, plus a worst current and worst-of-all-time choice. Comprehensive it is not, but again, comments. -Senior Editor James Riswick Best Current GM Vehicle Chevrolet Corvette We were flying by the seats of our pants a bit in this first outing and my notes were similarly extemporaneous. When it came time to tie it all together on camera, I failed spectacularly. Thank the maker for text, because this gives me the opportunity to perhaps slightly better explain my convoluted reasoning. I chose the C8 Corvette because it's simply overwhelmingly good, and it's merely the baseline from which this generation of Corvette will be expanded. While the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing (more on that in a minute) is an amazing snapshot of GM's current performance standing and its little sibling so enraptured me that I went out and bought one, their existence is fleeting. Corvette will live on; forced-induction Cadillac sport sedans, not so much. So while all three are amazing machines when viewed in a vacuum, the Corvette stands above them as both a reflection of GM's current performance credentials and a signpost of what is to come. So, given the choice between the C8 and the 5V-Blackwing right now, I'd choose the C8. In 10 years, when the Blackwing is no longer in production and Corvette is in its 9th generation? Well, that might be a different story. Now, just pretend I said something even remotely that coherent when we get to the part of the video where I try to make an argument for the 5-V Blackwing as best GM car I've ever driven. Or just laugh at me while I ramble incoherently.
2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible gives us a couple of looks
Sat, 02 Mar 2013Put away your pixel paintbrushes, kids. Pack up your Photoshop. This is the real-deal 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible in its first official images. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.
Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial.
One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well.
Next-gen Chevy Volt will get 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine
Tue, Oct 28 2014As General Motors gets ready to unveil the new Chevy Volt at the Detroit Auto Show in January, it's starting to reveal a few more details about the updated plug-in hybrid. Today should be fruitful on that front, thanks to an event GM is hosting today that focuses on the new Volt, and we've just had the first bit of new: a bigger engine is coming. Since the beginning, the Volt has used a 1.4-liter, four-cylinder engine as a range extender when the battery runs dry. The second-generation model will instead get a slightly larger 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that will be built in Flint, MI. That's a step up from the various engines that have been a part of the 2016 Volt's rumored mills, everything from a 1.0-liter or 1.2-liter three-cylinder to a 2.0-liter turbo. The confirmation about the new 1.5-liter powerplant was found in Automotive News, where we also heard again that GM is going to start building the new Volt's electric drive unit in Detroit, moving production up from Mexico. We will have more information on the 2016 Chevy Volt later today.
