1989 Camaro RS 5.0 Automatic

Original 1 owner car. Garaged since new and is still garaged today. This Camaro is the real deal and nothing to hide. I have never personally seen a lower mileaged cleaner Camaro of this era and would imagine there are only a handfull still out there like this.

Car does not have any dings or scratches anywhere that I can tell. There are a few road chips the size of a pin head that are typical for any used vehicle. But other than that there are absolutely no flaws in the paint or body that I can see. Interior is very clean and shows no sign of wear anywhere. All glass and seals are like new and have no chips or dry rotting.

I acquired the car from a family estate and know that the vehicle was taken great care of its entire life and only driven casually during the summer weekends. This was the old man's baby and he actually passed away a number of years ago. The car was not driven much at all after he passed.

Upon purchasing the car I had a complete full inspection done and ended up replacing all fluids, the fuel filter, fuel pump, and all injectors. All the tires and brakes are original and still in great shape with no flat spots. I drove the car roughly 50 miles since purchasing it to ensure everything is in good driving condition. The car runs as new and drives straight and solid with no squeaks, leaks, rattles, or shakes.

The pictures should speak for themselves and there is nothing to hide.

If you have any questions or concerns, or if you would like more pictures please let me know.

Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to remove at any time.

I will ship only domestically to the US and you are responsible for pickup/shipping and I will accept only cash, certified check.

Hoons off-road in a lowrider Monte Carlo in latest Roadkill video

Wed, May 6 2015

Specialization keeps the automotive world interesting because it creates all sorts of fun niches. For example, if you like hot rods, you can dive deep into the world of rat rods or just focus on cars with a more traditional look. In some cases the myriad styles don't mix very well, of course, and the folks at Roadkill are proving that on video by attempting to take a lowrider Chevrolet Monte Carlo from Los Angeles to Las Vegas on dirt. As you might expect, forcing a lowrider off-road doesn't go well, but the stunt makes for a great chronicle of dumb, automotive fun. Other than some repairs to get the Monte Carlo roadworthy, the only modification here is a set of knobby tires to achieve at least a modicum of traction on the loose rocks. Although, no matter what they do, at the even lowest speeds the hosts inside are still bounced around like they're in an inflatable castle at a kid's birthday party. Still, the guys are clearly amused by it all.

GM forced to cut truck production amid semiconductor shortage

Thu, Jul 22 2021

WASHINGTON — General Motors said Wednesday it will cut some truck production in North America because of the ongoing global semiconductor shortage. The largest U.S. automaker said its Flint Assembly plant that builds the Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD trucks will operate on one production shift the week of July 26. GM said its Ft. Wayne Assembly plant in Indiana that builds the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 model trucks will be idled next week. GM's Silao Assembly plant in Mexico that also builds the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Cheyenne (for the Mexico market) and GMC Sierra 1500 will also suspend production next week. All three plants are expected to resume regular production the week of August 2. Related video:

Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra could get independent rear suspension

Fri, Jan 3 2020

The Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra could reportedly receive a variant of the four-link independent rear suspension found under the new Tahoe and Suburban. While that's not a surprise, a recent report suggests electrification, not comfort, convinced General Motors to make the change. Replacing the time-tested solid rear axle with an independent suspension will improve comfort, handling and off-road prowess, while adding weight, and likely making the trucks a little bit more expensive. It's a fair trade-off, but GM Authority learned the real reason for the swap is that at least one of the pickups will spawn an electric model, and it's more difficult to package a bulky battery pack around a solid rear axle. The independent rear suspension takes up far less space, even if it has more moving parts. General Motors will build its first regular-production electric pickup on an evolution of the Silverado's T1 platform named BT1, according to the same source. The b stands for -- you guessed it -- batteries. The firm reportedly doesn't want to make two suspensions for cost reasons, so the independent setup will come standard regardless of whether the truck runs on gasoline, diesel, or electricity. As a bonus, Chevrolet and GMC could choose to offer their T1-based trucks with Magnetic Ride Control or an air suspension, options available on the 2021 Suburban and Tahoe. The independent rear suspension will also find its way to the next-generation GMC Yukon due to be revealed January 14, and to the 2021 Cadillac Escalade scheduled to make its debut February 4. The long-rumored, born-again Hummer will get it, too, because it will arrive as an electric model built on the BT1 platform. It's worth noting none of this is official, and General Motors has remained quiet about what's next for its new suspension design, and what will be under its electric truck's sheet metal. If the GM Authority report is accurate, the Silverado (pictured) and the Sierra could ditch their solid rear axle for the 2021 model year. The change will likely be accompanied by other tweaks inside and out. Featured Gallery 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 View 16 Photos Chevrolet GMC Truck
