Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for stopping by to take a closer look at this rare eBay auction opportunity. The term, "rare opportunity" is subject to frequent abuse, but in this case, you can be the judge.

THREE GOOD REASONS TO BID ON THIS CAR

First: What your successful bid buys is Camaro’s most raucous 2010 performance vehicle, the II SS. From what we can tell, it has every option but a sunroof. That means it’s equipped with the big 6.2 L 426 hp engine, 6-speed manual transmission, sports-tuned suspension, xenon headlamps and 20" wheels. Interior features include Boston Premium Sound, extra gauges and heated leather seats. If Camaro offered it, odds are this car has it. With less than 17,000 miles on the clock, it is difficult to distinguish this Camaro from one on the showroom floor. Runs and drives, of course, as good as it looks. You can consider that it’s barely broken in.

Second: this Camaro is accompanied by celebrity provenance - having been purchased new by the iconic Robbie Krieger of Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, ‘THE DOORS’. Their familiar (and removable) logo is applied on the SS’s doors and a copy of the original California ‘pink slip’ listing owner-Robbie Krieger’s name and Beverly Hills address is included with your purchase. This Camaro affirms Mr. Krieger’s love for potent (and not for the faint of heart) vehicles.

Third: Thanks to the benevolent gesture on the part of the previous owner, The Orangewood Children’s Foundation has been the recipient of this stunning vehicle and 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this Camaro go directly to the work of the Foundation.

Orangewood Children’s Foundation is a charitable organization whose history harkens back to the early 80's when the aging and compromised shelter for housing abused, abandoned and neglected children was severely overcrowded. As a result the Foundation was formed and its first, and very vital, mission was to raise the ten million dollars required to build a state-of-the-art emergency shelter complex, Orangewood Children’s Home.

Over the years the scope of the Foundation has expanded its level of assistance to ensuring successful outcomes in the otherwise splintered lives of these children, many of whom are approaching the age of emancipation. The Foundation accomplishes its goal by providing transitional housing, job placement, peer counseling and educational assistance which have proven to be vital additions to the lives of the hundreds of children The Foundation has served.

Orangewood Children’s Foundation continues its work as a result of the generosity of caring folks willing to provide meaningful support for the disadvantaged children served directly by its diversity of programs.

As a result, the buyer the option of enjoying the many benefits of owning this modern-day classic Camaro, or donating it back to the Foundation and thereby making it eligible for a future auction, while providing the buyer with a substantial tax writeoff.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THIS SALE

To make bidding as fair as possible for all, may we recommend considering these four things: Look closely at the photos and request photos of any additional areas you’d like to see; ask questions about anything that isn’t described; bid only what you are comfortable paying for this car and, most importantly, set up a time for a personal or professional inspection. Please understand this listing may be removed if the car is no longer available.

Car is stored in an enclosed garage and may be seen at its location in Buena Park, CA, near Knott’s Berry Farm and just north of the 91 Freeway.

We are wholehearted believers in eBay’s auction process. If the Foundation had specified a Buy It Now price, it would be listed.

The successful bidder will make a non-refundable $500.00 PayPal deposit within 24 hours of auction close and complete payment within 5 days. All negotiable instruments are acceptable, but the car will not be released until your payment has cleared.

Costs and arrangements associated with transport are responsibility of the buyer. Seller will assist with loading - given a 48 hour notice. Car can be stored for up to 30 days following receipt of full payment.

Rest assured we appreciate your time to take a look at this offering. Moreover, we will appreciate each and every bid.

Good Luck Bidding!

2020 Chevy Trax spied sporting design cues from the new Blazer

Wed, Oct 3 2018

We saw spy shots in August for what we thought was either a redesigned Chevrolet Trax or new GMC subcompact crossover. At the time we were leaning Chevy. But after this latest batch of spy shots taken near GM's proving grounds, we're now thinking this one is the Trax replacement and the other one was a GMC. For one, the thin row of LEDs looks remarkably similar to the 2019 Chevy Blazer's LED strip. The additional light slightly below that is similar to the Blazer as well, leading us to believe that the next Trax will have a Blazer-esque front end. At first glance, this vehicle looks slightly larger than today's Trax with a much brawnier shape than the current blob-like design. The rear roof cladding could be hiding the same sloped rear window with spoiler hangover we see on the Blazer. Circling back to the other small GM crossover we caught testing, this one doesn't have those Blazer elements. The curved windshield and sloping roof are like those of the GMC Terrain, as are the horizontal grille bars. By contrast, the above car has a straighter windshield and a roof shaped more like the Blazer. One element that does seem to diverge from the new Blazer are the taillights, but they don't exactly look production-ready anyway. If we're right about this being the next Trax (and we're pretty sure we are) then this looks to be a more distinctive vehicle than what it will replace. The mirrors have left their awkward spot on the doors, and it's shaping up to be a much sportier looking crossover as a whole. This vehicle will most likely end up being a 2020 model year car, and if so, we would expect to see undisguised photos of both it and the assumed GMC version next year. Chevrolet Camaros at SEMA are a mobile accessory catalog

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

Chevy's goal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week seems to be to show as much of its Performance and Accessories catalog as possible. That's why it brought three different Camaros - two with V8s and one powered by a V6 - with all of the best goodies from the catalog already fitted.
We gave a more in-depth recap of the Performance Camaro V8 Concept, the Performance Camaro V6 Concept and the Performance Garage Concept already, but we figured you'd like a short recap for each. It should be noted, though, that you can order all of the items you see here for your own Camaro, so be sure to take a long, hard look at our live galleries, just in case you're in the market for some mods.
Essentially, the Performance Garage Concept and the Performance V8 Concept are the same car - the only difference is that the later features a whole host of aesthetic tweaks in addition to its aftermarket, shorty exhaust headers and 2.75-inch exhaust. (The Performance Garage Concept has been usefully placed on its side; the better to see the new parts added to the vehicle.) The Performance V6 Concept is notable because, despite being a V6, there's no shortage of performance goodies fitted. All three of the Performance Camaros benefit from items from the Camaro ZL1, which can also be ordered through the catalog.

MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon

Sat, Jun 20 2015

MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.
