As it states in the item description, this 2010 Camaro 2SS is a one owner garage kept car with barely 13,000 miles on it. It is the loaded model to start with and then several performance modifications were added to make it an amazing car to drive. The engine is turbocharged and a twin disc Fidanza clutch was installed to handle the extra power. A Snow Performance meth injection kit was added to further improve the performance of the forced induction. The car also has 1000hp Strange axles, the Hurst quick throw shifter, large Brembo disk brakes and an Eiback 2 inch lowering kit. All of this work was done by a professional performance shop and the car was dyno tuned so that all of the aftermarket components are dialed in to deliver a reliable 600hp and over 700lbft of torque at the rear wheels. This Camaro has always been babied and professionally maintained and it shows. Other interests demand that the car be sold and this creates a great opportunity for someone else to acquire this beautiful 2010 2SS for many thousands less than it would cost to buy and similarly equip such a car. Vert-A-Pac train cars kept your Chevy Vega's price in check
Fri, 01 Mar 2013Our apologies to those who've seen this before, but for the rest of the class, how awesome are these pictures of the Vert-A-Pac shipping system General Motors came up with to ship the Chevrolet Vega back in the 1970s? Developed along with Southern Pacific Railroad, GM was able to double the amount of Vega models it could ship by packing them into the unique storage cars vertically.
At the time, rail cars could fit 15 vehicles each, but Chevrolet was able to lower shipping costs by making it possible to ship 30 Vegas per rail car, in turn allowing the price of the Vega to remain as low as possible. Each rail car had 30 doors that would fold down so that a Vega could be strapped on, and then a forklift would come along and lift the door into place. All the cars were positioned nose down, and since they were shipped with all of their required fluids, certain aspects had to be designed specifically for this type of shipping, including an oil baffle in the engine, a special battery and even a repositioned windshield washer reservoir. Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
