This 1986 Camaro IROC-Z is excellent for its age of 28 years. This poor mans corvette has the desirable red on red combo with factory louvers, T-Tops, power window, power door locks, power hatch release, tilt steering, cruise control, power steering,T-top storage bags, cargo cover, top option stereo, posi rear axle, and 145 speedometer, 305 tpi, 4 speed auto, and you have a high optioned Camaro. Can only think of three options It doesn't have. Only 5,000 1986 Camaros (not all were Iroc-Z's!) had the factory louvers, 2,000 1986 Camaros had the high end stereo. just spreading it out this is possibly one of 20 made this way. The red interior is one of the higher level cloth interiors offered, the dash has no cracks, only the drivers seat is missing an inch of piping by the buckle, and the seat belts didnt get replaced by the previous owner during a recall by chevrolet so the plastic is cracking on the tab recieving part of the seat belt buckle. The body has no rust but the paint is fading, some door dings and a small dent in hood. All power options work but power window and door lock motors are weak. The T-Tops have the "mandatory leak" and could be fixed with a new seal. There have been many new parts replaced on this: ac compressor, ac tank, water pump, muffler, ball joints, alternator, belts, hoses, brakes, rotors, air filter, sparkplugs, wheel bearings, bridgestone tires and others I may have missed. Aftermarket adjustable strut plates are installed, The A/C has been changed over to R-134 and have discoved new o rings need to be installed and that should stop the leakage. Its currently in off site storage for the winter, winner will need to make arrangements to pick it up and/or pay storage fees of $120 a month till they do get it. there is no warranty as this is a private seller. To bid you must have PayPal account. On Ebay you must have 10 possitive feedbacks, no negative feedback, and a $500 transaction completed to be able to bid on this car. Winner will be required to pay $500 thru PayPal at end of auction and full payment thru PayPal in 7 days of auction end or cashiers check from major bank in 5 days and will hold car/title till it clears my bank (usually 15 business days). Please ask any questions before bidding. Thank you and good luck!

GM Design shows what could have been and what might be
Thu, May 27 2021We periodically like to check in with GM Design's Instagram account to see what they're cooking up. Even better is when we catch a glimpse of an alternate history of what legendary designers from The General's past were thinking, though those ideas may not have made it into production. This week, for example, the account posted some illustrations from George Camp, whose career at GM spanned nearly four decades, from 1963 to 2001. One of the renderings is of what appears to be a 1971-72 Pontiac GTO Judge, but with two headlights instead of the production unit's quad beams. The rear departs from the canonical version most dramatically, with a massive integrated wing. Other bits that didn't make the production cut include large side vents, a gill-like side marker and rectangular intakes below the headlights that wouldn't be out of place on a modern design today. Amazingly, from what we can make out of the date, it appears that the drawing was done sometime in 1965, which makes it quite prescient. View this post on Instagram A post shared by GM Design (@generalmotorsdesign) There's also a very aerodynamic interpretation of a Corvette ZR-1. To our eyes it splits the difference between the 1986 Corvette Indy concept and a fourth-generation F-body Pontiac Firebird, so perhaps parts of Camp's work on this sketch did make it into physical form. There's also a radical sports car concept from May 1970 that resembles the Mazda RX-500 concept from the same year, a Syd Mead-looking Cadillac coupe, and an Oldsmobile with a cool take on the company's trademark waterfall grille and elements of the Colonnade Cutlass at the rear. Other recent posts include a FJ Cruiser-like off-road EV, a sleek coupe with the Chevy corporate grille, and a rendering of a Silverado-esque pickup that looks far better than the current production version. Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
Motor Trend wheels the 2015 Corvette Z06
Tue, Nov 25 2014The new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is capable of some absolutely wild metrics. Want proof? Carlos Lago from Motor Trend is here to break it all down. 60 miles per hour? 3.2 seconds. 60 to 0? 91 feet. Lateral acceleration? A staggering 1.16g, a figure that is the highest MT has ever recorded for a vehicle that isn't a race car. It's an utterly astonishing piece of work, this Z06, and just when you think it can't possibly get any more impressive, Randy Pobst hustles an auto-equipped Z06 around Road Atlanta in just 1:30. Aside from the eight-speed auto, Pobst's Z06 had the most aggressive aerodynamic package, the so-called Stage III. Take a look at the 650-horsepower Z06 in Motor Trend's latest video.
