First and most important, this is a limited run car. Less than 1 thousand of these cars were ever made, making it a likely future classic. This is not a car for everyone though, it is a muscle car at heart and it drives like one. It's one of the closest things you'll find today to a classic '60s muscle car.

That said here are the specifications if you're unfamiliar with what the car can do: 2000 Chevrolet Camaro SS Engine Type Aluminum Alloy Pushrod Overhead 16-Valve V8 Engine Size 5.7 liters / 346 cu. in. Horsepower 320 @ 5200 rpm Torque (lb-ft) 345 @ 4400 rpm Transmission 6-speed manual Wheelbase / Length 101.1 in. / 193.5 in. Curb Weight 3439 lbs. Pounds Per Horsepower 10.7 Fuel Capacity 16.8 gallons Fuel Requirement Unleaded Premium, 91 Octane Tires P275/40 ZR17 Goodyear Eagle F1 Brakes, front/rear Vented Disc / Vented Disc Suspension, front/rear Independent Short-and-Long-Arm with Coil Springs /Solid Axle with Coil Springs Drivetrain Front Engine, Rear-wheel drive PERFORMANCE EPA Fuel Economy - Miles per Gallon City / Highway / Observed 18 / 27 / 20 0 to 60 mph 5.3 sec 1/4 mile (E.T.) 13.7 sec

I have a car-fax report and the oil/air filter was recently changed. I also replaced the brakes and put a set of brand new tires on it, so it's ready to drive right now. The driver's seat has some wear and tear, but the rest of the interior looks fine. The motor on the convertible top also needs to be replaced. And the panel on the driver's side door is a bit loose. Those are the only major defects in the car though. It looks and drives great, it just needs a bit of cosmetic work to get it in excellent condition. It is fully loaded with all the goodies, mostly highway miles, new tires, non-smoker, title in hand, very clean interior, and well maintained.

If you want to purchase this car I would prefer either a bank draft or a cashier's check, I won't accept payment through Pay-Pal. Too many scammers use that service and I'd prefer to not have to deal with that. Shipping is up to you, I'm willing to help out with whatever is needed to get the car to where you want it.

GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.

2014 Chevrolet Impala [w/video]

Can A Fleet Queen Become a Fullsize King?
On paper, the Chevrolet Impala is a pretty strong seller, posting annual sales that have hovered right around 170,000 units for the last two years, but it only takes one trip to practically any rental car agency to discover where the majority of those sales have come from. In fact, General Motors told Autoblog that a full 70 percent of Impala sales last year went to fleet companies for things like rental cars and government vehicles. Logic tells us that this is neither good for resale values nor name equity, so Chevrolet is getting ready to roll out an all-new Impala with improved comfort, styling and technology, hoping to turn the tables on its retail-to-fleet ratio.
Chevrolet's sedans have come on quite strong in the last few months with the introduction of the Cruze diesel and the SS sedan, but while these will likely be low-volume sellers, there's more pressure for the new Impala to perform well as GM looks to slash fleet sales and compete with the wide variety of full-size sub-luxury sedans. Riding on a platform shared with the Buick LaCrosse and Cadillac XTS, the 2014 Impala will compete against the Hyundai Azera, Ford Taurus and Toyota Avalon on the more traditional side, while also looking to take a bite out of somewhat sportier models like the Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger twins and the Nissan Maxima. We headed to sunny San Diego to see if this totally new Impala can stand on its own without the assistance of fleet companies and rental agencies. [w/video

GM recalling 15k midsize pickups over leaky brakes

Mon, Jun 8 2015

General Motors has announced a recall in coordination with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration related to the brakes on the 2015 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon. In the 14,838 units in the United States estimated to be affected, the front brake calipers may be leaking fluid. Needless to say, that could make them less effective, which could hinder the vehicle's ability to stop in time to avoid a collision. The affected units were all manufactured between January 6 and December 24, 2014. The fix seems simple and straightforward enough, with dealers being instructed to inspect the front brake calipers, and replace them if necessary. See below for all the details from NHTSA. RECALL Subject : Brake Fluid Leak Report Receipt Date: MAY 12, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V278000 Component(s): SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC Potential Number of Units Affected: 14,838 Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, and GMC Canyon trucks manufactured January 6, 2014, to December 24, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience the front brake calipers leaking brake fluid. This is due to air pockets, an imperfection in the metal caliper body. CONSEQUENCE: If the vehicle experiences a brake fluid leak it can increase the stopping distance, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the front-brake calipers if necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 10, 2015. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), or 1-800-462-8782 (GMC). GM's number for this recall is 14888. NOTES: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
