I purchased this car 12 years ago off eBay through a Corvette dealership in Arizona with a 124,908 miles and it’s been garage kept since I’ve owned it.  I brought it to Ohio, where it’s never seen a day of snow.  I planned on keeping this car, but I recently moved to Florida and don’t have room, and it's time to let some of my cars go, and let her go to someone who can enjoy the fun she brings.  Here’s what I know about the car.  Having purchased this car on eBay 12 years ago, I didn’t do a personal inspection, but it was well described in the listing.  When I received the car I could tell that it must have received some light damage in the right front fender.  The inner front doghouse appears to be repainted.  There is no fame or unibody damage that I can tell of, drives straight and the aliment is spot on.  The heritage graphics are under the clear coat, which was not done through the factory or SLP, which makes it nice as they won’t peal off.  There was some overspray in the door jams, and in some spots the newer paint has chipped off.  There is a small run in the clear coat right under the passenger mirror which I haven’t had time to fix, plus you have to be looking for it to find it.  I replaced the inner fender wells with OE replacements from GM as it’s almost impossible to removed overspray from there.  There are a few spots on the top roof sill where the clear coat has chipped off, see picture.  Outside of that, there is no damage on the exterior or interior.  The LT1 runs really strong and averages about 16 miles to the gallon for local driving. The spare tire appears to have never been used.  As of late the AC isn't blowing as cold as it use to, probably needs a shot of freon I just don't have the time to have it checked.  There is a crease in the passenger side window tint at the back edge of the glass, it was this way when I bought the car, and wasn't a big deal for me as I drive with the windows down.  All fluids have been changed to synthetic.  Everything works as it should, windows, locks, mirrors, lights, gauges, etc..  Rating the interior I'd give it a 7 as the leather has the typical light cracks.  The exterior is a 7 too with the typical rock chips.  There are no cracks or chips in the glass.

Here’s a list of the upgrades I’ve done so far.

GM cutting Chevy Sonic, Buick Verano production [UPDATE]

Sun, Jan 25 2015

UPDATE: A previous version of this story indicated that Orion Assembly would be idled for seven weeks, from February 16 through April 6. This was incorrect. The factory will instead only be idled for the weeks of February 16 and April 6. The story has been edited to reflect this. General Motors has announced that the factory responsible for the Buick Verano and Chevrolet Sonic will be idled for the weeks of February 16 and April 6, with blame being placed on excess supply. The Orion Assembly plant, about 45 minutes north of GM's Renaissance Center headquarters, employs about 1,800 people, but they'll be given a pair of furloughs as inventories of the sub-compact Sonic and premium compact Verano reach 127 days and 84 days, respectively. That works out to 26,600 Chevys and 9,800 Buicks waiting for buyers. According to Automotive News, the compact Chevy sales bested the industry average in 2014, jumping up nine percent versus the the overall segment's eight-percent gain, while the Buick sedan's sales were down four percent. When asked about the shutdown, a GM spokesman told AN that it will "build to market demand," while also pointing out that the company did not comment on production plans. 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible gives us a couple of looks

Sat, 02 Mar 2013

Put away your pixel paintbrushes, kids. Pack up your Photoshop. This is the real-deal 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible in its first official images. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.
Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial.
One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
