You're bidding on a 1991 Camaro Z28. This vehicle has been babied since day one.

I am the third owner. The original owner was the manager at the Toronto GM plant, had a corporate car and only drove the Camaro on nice weekends. The car was fully equipped with every premium option available. The second owner was a third generation Camaro enthusiast that owned an automotive detailing company. Of his 3 camaros, he used this Z28 as a show car to promote the detailing products such as; leather conditioners, waxes, wheel/tire cleaners etc, therefore the vehicle was always in immaculate condition.

I purchased this vehicle in 2000 and added all of the below mentioned upgrades, no expenses spared. Below is also a detailed appraisal. It has never been accidented nor has it ever seen any rain or snow. It's always been parked/stored in a temperature regulated garage and only driven on beautiful weekends. The vehicle has been stored since 2008. This maticulously maintained Camaro stands out amongst the rest with tasteful upgrades and a $10,000.00 custom sound system.

CONCLUSIONS

In the spring of 1990, the 1991 production of the Chevrolet Camaro ‘Z28’ was the ‘reintroduction’ of the Z28 nomenclature that had been replaced in 1988 by the IROC designation.  The 1991 Z28 was actually ‘still an IROC’ with redesigned aero rocker moldings, new fascias, taller rear wing and cosmetic hood scoops.  The 1992 production was basically the same as the 1991 with an added anniversary logo.

Typically, the average mileage of 20,000klm per year would be over the 300,000klm mark; whereas this vehicle, in the possession of its third owner, is only at the 95,000km's (59,133mi) mark.  By condition of both the interior, exterior and structural components of the vehicle it has been extremely well maintained, indicative of being stored both in winters and during poor summer weather.  The mechanical components are in top condition with modifications to enhance the Z28 characteristics; the cosmetics are excellent, and the sound and security systems have been augmented.

It is the opinion of the undersigned, that given the proper market and vehicle conditions, this vehicle would retail at a value of $36,500.00 Canadian (inclusive of stereo and upgrades).

General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem

Thu, Feb 13 2014

General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed. 24 Hours of Le Mans live update part two

Sun, Jun 19 2016

We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice. Parker lives in Hawaii and can hold his breath longer than he can go without swearing. For Part One, click here. Or you can skip ahead to Part Three here. I write about surfing for a living. If you can call it a living. Basically means I spend my days fucking around and my wife pays for everything. Because she's got a real job that pays well. Brings home the bacon. Very progressive arrangement. Super twenty first century. I run a surf website, beachgrit.com, with two other guys. It's a strange gig. More or less uncensored. Kind of popular. Very good at alienating advertisers. My behavior has cost us a few bucks. I'm terrible at self-censorship. Know there's a line out there, no idea where it lies. I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. For contests I do long rambling write ups. They rarely make much sense. Mainly just talk about my life, whatever random thoughts pop into my head. "Can you do something similar for Le Mans?" "Sure, but I know absolutely fuck-all about racing." "That's okay. Just write what you want." "Will do. But you're gonna need to edit my stuff. Probably censor it heavily." So here I am. I spent the last week trying to learn all I can about the sport of endurance racing. But there's only so much you can jam in your head. And I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. While I rambled things were happening. Tracy Krohn spun into the gravel on the Forza chicane. #89 is out of the race after an accident I missed. Pegasus racing hit the wall on the Porsche curves. Bashed up front end, in the garage getting fixed. Toyota and Porsche are swapping back and forth in the front three. Ford back in the lead in GTE Pro. #91 Porsche took a stone through the radiator, down two laps. Not good. The wife and I are one of those weird childless couples that spend way too much time caring for the needs of their pet. French bulldog, Mr Eugene Victor Debs. Great little guy. Spent the last four years training him to be obedient and friendly. Nice thing about dogs, when you're sick of dealing with them you can just lock 'em in another room for a few hours. You don't need to worry about paying for college.

2016 Chevy Volt powertrain video teasers

Fri, Oct 31 2014

If there's one thing we've learned about plug-in vehicle fans, you have a thing for seeing your cars get made. The series of videos showing BMW i3 production was strangely popular, as were the shots from inside the VW e-Golf plant. Well, with General Motors pulling the veil off of the 2016 Chevy Volt this week, it's time to take a peek at the production process for that vehicle as well. You're welcome. Up first we've got a clip from CNN Money showing a little bit about how the new Volt's new battery pack and other powertrain components are made. Those of you who are trying to read the lithium tea leaves and see if the new shape reveals that the 2016 Volt will have five seats might want to check it out. Then we've got two clips from GM itself, one showing an animation about the updated Voltec powertrain and another with some B Roll of the old Volt. Since GM doesn't want us to see the new car quite yet, we'll have to enjoy this for now. Watch below. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences.
