1986 Camaro Z28 in very rare and desirable Black / Gold w/ T-Tops / and the TPI 305 / 190 hp LB9 engine - true 43000 miles Carfax documented This is a 2 owner, kept in a Florida dry climate, non-smoker car, that has always been kept indoors. It is optioned with most of the critical features Power windows, door locks, power hatch release, ERS stereo with digital clock and cassette, cruise control, pulse wipers, rear defogger, speed control w/ resume, aux. interior lamps, and gauge package. ........... NO ACCIDENTS, and has only very minor paintwork. It will get compliments everywhere, and you will be hard pressed to find this car in such condition, especially the color combo.
The original Black paint shows extremely well with no fade or haze. The exterior features are in exceptional condition. The T-tops are tight, with no rattles or leaks, and the doors not sag or rumble when they open / close. The wheels have no abuse and the Firestone tires are almost new. The power windows, door locks, cruise, hatch, etc. all function without issues. All of the pinstripe is in tact. Always hand detailed inside and out. The exterior is a nice 9.0 / 10.
On the inside, the Black interior still looks, feels, and maintains a crisp appeal. As you can see in the pics, the seats are not worn, and the flooring is wear, fade, and damage free. The original floor mats are as well excellent. The door panels, dash, center console, and all other interior trim have no marks. All of the interior buttons / switches ( power windows, door locks, cruise, hatch release, stereo ) function properly. The undercarriage is dry, clean, and no rust issues. Inside, it is a 9.75 / 10.
Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as a "well-oiled" machine should. All of the servicing is up to date, and done by a GM mechanic - a/c, belts, hoses, fluids all changed / maintained at the proper intervals. The engine compartment / undercarriage are clean / dry, and it performs without hesitation. Of course, the LB9 - 305 / 190 hp. engine has great pick-up, and shifts tight. The a/c is cold, the brakes have plenty of pad left, it drives straight down the road, and all of the other mechanical functions perform without issue.
If anyone is looking to own and drive and nice, clean example of 1986, here you go. Fairly priced compared to others of lesser caliber and higher mileage.

Opel's own ad shows Ampera-e beating Opels in drag race
Thu, Sep 8 2016The Opel Ampera-e isn't expected to set any world records on a quarter-mile drag strip. But when it comes to crossing a major boulevard, though, the European version of the Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle will more than hold its own, potentially scaring inattentive pedestrians everywhere. According to a 35-second video posted by General Motors' Opel division, at least. Opel set up the Ampera-e against four other small-and-sporty vehicles, including racing versions of the Opel Adam and Opel Astra as well as stock versions of the Opel Insignia and Corsa (what, you expected a Corvette to be in there?). With the EV's off-the-line torque as a selling point, Opel showed the Ampera-e beating the other vehicles in a 30-meter (100-foot) drag race. Of course, the video also shows the EV getting passed by some of the others soon after, but the point was made. Opel doubled down by adding the tagline "Fun to Drive" at the end of the video. While Opel hasn't revealed the single-charge range of the Ampera-e, it should be roughly the same as the Chevrolet Bolt, which will be about 200 miles. In addition, the Ampera-e, like the Bolt in the US, will get 200 horsepower from its electric motor, and will be able to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than seven seconds. The Ampera-e will debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show later this month. General Motors said in February that Europe would get the Ampera-e by next year. Opel had previously used the Ampera name with the Euro version of the Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in. 8 cars we're most looking forward to driving in 2015
Mon, Jan 5 2015Now that 2014 is officially in the books, it's time to look ahead. And following our list of the cars we liked best last year, we're now setting our sights at the hot new metal that's coming our way in 2015. Some of these, we've already seen. And some are still set to debut during the 2015 auto show season. But these are the machines that keep us going – the things on the horizon that we're particularly stoked to drive, and drive hard. Jeep Renegade Not the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Not the Ford Mustang GT350. Not the new John Cooper Works Mini. Nope, I'm looking forward to the adorable, trail-rated Jeep Renegade. And that's because I really, really, really like our long-term Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I do not, however, care too much for the Cherokee's looks, and I really don't like its $38,059 price tag. The Renegade Trailhawk, meanwhile, promises much of the same rough-and-tumble character as its big brother, but at what we expect will be a more reasonable price (I'm personally wagering on the baby Jeep's off-road model starting at no more than $23,000). With a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a nine-speed automatic, it should also be a bit easier to fill than the V6-powered Cherokee. Also, I can't help but love the way the Renegade looks. It's like someone took a Wrangler, squished it by 50 percent and then handed it off to George Clinton for a healthy dose of funk. The interior, with its bright, expressive trims and color schemes should also be a really nice place to spend some time. I'll be attending the Renegade's launch later this month, so I'll have a much shorter wait than my colleagues. Here's hoping the baby Jeep lives up to my expectations. – Brandon Turkus Associate Editor Mazda MX-5 Miata Here's an uncomfortable truth: I'd rather spend a day driving a properly sorted Mazda MX-5 Miata of any generation on a winding road than I would nearly any other vehicle, regardless of power, price or prestige. It's not just that I prize top-down driving and enjoy the Miata's small size because it gives me more road to play with. I just find there's more motoring joy to be had with high-fidelity handling and an uncorrupted car-to-driver communication loop than I do with face-distorting power or grip – let alone valet-stand gravitas. But perhaps most of all, I love Miatas because they can deliver that level of feedback and driver reward at modest speeds that won't put the locals on edge or endanger lives – you can use more of the car more of the time.
GM cutting production at two plants
Thu, Feb 26 2015General Motors is continuing to adjust to excess supply of some of its brands' models. To get production more in line with the vehicles' actual demand, the automotive giant is idling two of its factories in North America in the coming months. The Orion Assembly plant is going to be down from March 9-13, according to an anonymous plant worker and another insider speaking to Automotive News. The factory builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, but there are plenty of both models sitting on dealer lots, including 216 days worth of Sonics, according to AN. The factory already had two idle periods announced to reduce the excess. In addition, downtime is scheduled at GM's "Flex" line at the Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, plant from April 13-17. This affects supply of the Chevrolet Camaro, Impala, Buick Regal and Cadillac XTS. Among them, the automotive giant has the largest supply of Regals ready for dealers with 213 days worth of them, according to AN. The future for the whole Oshawa factory is cloudy in general, though. There are rumors that it could close entirely in the future because the Camaro is leaving and the Regal and XTS might not last much longer than 2017. The Canadian government and the labor union there intend to put up a fight, though.
