I have for sale a 1986 IROC-Z28. Original IROC-Z wheels. No tears, cracks or breaks on the interior. Dashboard is original and not a crack! NO RUST. No accidents. 3rd owner. I love this car. It was my first back in 2002 after buying it off my great aunt after my great uncle passed away. He had a thing for toys. If it had wheels he found a way to make it faster. I'm moving across country (again) and I can't justify taking it with me anymore. It's been a fun ride and great project. Almost had it track ready. Original seats, very slightly faded, no tears or holes. Some stains on the carpet under the hatch area. Automatic hatch pulldown motor Just replaced in June of 2013, along with new wipers, hood, and hatch struts. Yes the rear hatch struts hold the hatch and have a lifetime warranty from O'reillys. Also I have a stack of maintenance records from 2000 on this thing.

Heres a link to see it running. http://youtu.be/Jll9-A-WDx0 and hear the engine. Turn you bass up ;) Video was shot in MD right after I put in the new rebuilt trans.

Here's a list of the customizations.

This car is almost ready for the track. All I have left is the suspension upgrades and the gearing currently is 2.73s.
I would upgrade the fan as well. But still runs great and is something sporty for taking down the highway.

Disclaimer: While this car is very drivable and fast. it does not have AC, the components went bad 10 years ago so I took them all out in 2006. Heater and fan still work but I've removed the control box and heater hoses. Wiper fluid reservoir has been removed but system still works last i checked it in 2005, yea i know, but it is what it is. Horn wire broke while changing steering wheels and was removed but system will still work if the horn wire is replaced. Paint has damaged on top. NO RUST. This car is almost 30 years old without any restoration so keep in mind there will be minor flaws here and there. Car is being sold as is. The water temp gauge and oil pressure gauge on stock gauge cluster stopped working so i put in an aftermarket temp gauge and installed another on radiator. Both match when temps rise.

Ask me anything I will be totally honest. I could move it with me, but after moving from MD to Florida to Hawaii and back to MD, to Vegas, Vegas to Florida im about done.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat vs. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in latest Head 2 Head

Fri, Jan 30 2015

"Olympian" is one of the terms we use to signify the greatest height, the seat of the gods. Yet Mt. Olympus is the second-highest peak in the Balkans ranges, overshadowed by the crest at Musala in Bulgaria's Rila mountains. Both great heights, but one is a little higher. That's how we get the Olympian Chevy Camaro ZL1 pitched at the Musalic Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in Motor Trend's latest episode of Head 2 Head. The side-by-side spec sheet is filled with farcical numbers. For the ZL1, that's a 6.2-liter V8 with 580 horsepower, 556 pound-feet of torque, a 4,051-pound curb weight, 0-to-60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 12.2 seconds and a base price of just $57,800. Opposing that, the Hellcat wrings out its 6.2-liter V8 for 707 hp, 650 lb-ft of torque, weighs 4,449 pounds, does the quarter in 11.7 seconds and has a base price of just $60,990. Except in the case of the Hellcat, when Motor Trend put it on the dyno the machine spit out a reading of 672 hp and 606 lb-ft at the wheels. If there's a 10-percent driveline loss through those beefed-up internals and heavy-duty eight-speed transmission, that means the Hellcat is actually rated at about 750 horsepower and 700 lb-ft. But once they get put on a closed-off strip of coast road in Northern California, there are only a few strands of hair between their respective performances. That's not the case for they sensations provide; host Jonny Lieberman calls one of them, "One of the most incredible cars ever made," and says, "It changes everything." Watch the video above to see who got the verdict and how. Related Video:

Junkyard Gem: 2003 Chevrolet Tracker

Wed, May 22 2024

When General Motors created the Geo brand to sell vehicles designed and — in some cases — built by Japanese partners, the first four models were introduced for the 1989 model year: the Metro (Suzuki Cultus), Prizm (Toyota Sprinter), Spectrum (Isuzu Gemini) and Tracker (Suzuki Sidekick). Geo got the axe in 1997, with the Metro, Prizm and Tracker becoming Chevrolets. Of those, the Tracker survived the longest, with U.S.-market sales continuing into 2004. Here's an example of a very late Tracker, found in a North Carolina car graveyard recently. The 1989-1997 first-generation Trackers were based on the Suzuki Sidekick, while the 1998-2004 Trackers had the Suzuki Vitaras (not to be confused with the much grander Grand Vitaras) as their siblings. Production of these trucks for the South American market (as the Chevrolet Vitara) continued in Ecuador all the way through 2014. The Tracker name has also gone onto some versions of the Chevrolet Trax around the world. This one is a base four-door hard top/rear-wheel-drive model, which had an MSRP of $17,330. That's about $29,789 in 2024 dollars. You'll find one in every car. You'll see. The engine is a Suzuki 2.0-liter straight-four rated at 127 horsepower and 134 pound-feet. A five-speed manual was base equipment, but very few American vehicle shoppers wanted three pedals by the middle 2000s. This truck has the Aisin four-speed automatic. We like it loud. It appears that someone associated with this truck graduated from Julius L. Chambers High School last year. In the United States, the Tracker was replaced by the Saturn Vue. If Tracker can handle (unspecified Middle Eastern country), it can survive the jungle back home. Siempre contigo.
