Car is a 1983 Chevy Camaro Z-28 305 V8 w/ Crossfire Fuel Injection and 4 speed automatic

Needs work, but the motor does start and the car was driven to my house when I bought it 6 months ago. It is solid and the motor runs well. My son has lost interest in it and wants a newer car.

While dented up doesnt have any major rust issues I could find. All the glass is in good shape. Overall a good start, and as parts are cheap and avialable would make a good Son and Father HS Car project.

Motor is numbers matching to the car, has the correct rare Z-28 Fiberglass crossfire induction hood and side rocker panels.

Does need the typical:

Door Rubber, Belts, Hoses, most soft and rubber components.
Power windows work but are sloppy and need attention
Dash is a mess, but have bought a nice 115 MPH Gauge cluster for it. (It comes with the car)
Door hinges are weak, and need attention which is typical for this body style.
Brakes work, but I would go over them
Same for the suspension (Ball joints and shocks)
Wiring needs attention as well.

That said, if you have a Corvette and are looking for the Crossfire motor with everything. You could buy this car and part it out, The hood and induction setup go for ($300), sell the T-tops for ($400) and Gauge Cluster ($200) and save over buying the motor alone. Numbers correct crossfire motors for Corvette go for over $1000 on ebay. Do a search.. you will find a 84 Crossfire motor going for $1800 right now. Heck the intake, throttle bodies, and air cleaner setup go for over $500 alone.

Wouldn't want to see that done, as the car is restorable.. So while I prefer it didn't go that route and found someone that would restore her back to her new, at this point I want my driveway back more.

I will accept out of state (and international) offers, and will help with transporting. As long as you pay with PayPal, Direct Bank Transfer or Cash. If you want to pay with a personal or certified check or money order, I can do that. But I will hold the car and title for 60 days, until confirmation it has cleared. You will also pay for the transportation yourself directly and not involve me.

Will entertain offers and will help with shipping.. What I won't entertain are hoaxes, fraud, or Nigerian princes. So NO I will not take a check for more than its worth and "give it to your guy", I won't take far more than the car is worth "for my time" either, I will not play your games. So suffice it to say if you want to run a scam on me.. know I will return the favor and run a scam on you. With the polices' help.

Also this car for sale locally and should it sell I reserve the right to pull this listing.

Driving McLaren's Sports Car and 'The Best Corvette' at the M1 Concourse | AutoblogVR

Wed, Apr 12 2017

There's nothing better than a track day. Great cars on a great track are always great fun. Recently, we had the opportunity to check out the new M1 Concourse in Pontiac, MI, with two of the coolest cars in the game; a McLaren 570S and a Corvette Grand Sport. Driving the 570S was Autoblog senior editor Greg Migliore, and he didn't hold back. Getting behind the wheel of the McLaren, Greg explains that although this is McLaren's idea of a sports car, "it's all relative." Topping out at 204 miles per hour with 562 horsepower, there's no two ways about it: this thing is a monster. While the 570S was fantastic, we had another sports car we wanted to drive and editor-in-chief Mike Austin was just the man for the job. Enter the Corvette Grand Sport. Mike pushed all 460 horses of the 'Vette to the limit and came away impressed with the car, even calling it "the best Corvette." Comparing it to its more powerful sibling, the Z06, Mike goes so far as to say the Z06 has too much power, while the Grand Sport seems to be the third bear's bowl of porridge in the Corvette family... It's just right. We captured all the action of the day with 360° cameras so you can feel like you're right there in the car sitting shotgun with us! You can check out the McLaren and Corvette laps above, but the best way to view them is through the AutoblogVR app, where you can watch the videos on your VR headset or in a nice swivel-y office chair so you can take in the sights all around you. Each month, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll be posting them here on Autoblog, but for the best experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too!

How real is the Chevy Bolt EV and will it really cost $30,000?

Tue, Jan 13 2015

"This is us bragging that we can do this kind of car." That's how Michael Simcoe, GM's executive director for NA exteriors, described the Chevy Bolt EV concept, which made a surprise appearance at the Detroit Auto Show today. While there was talk of a 2017 production debut, this is for sure a concept vehicle. But that means the ideas behind the vehicle are perhaps more important than the details. For example, no one is talking about what size battery might appear in a production Bolt, but Simcoe would talk about how rapid progress in battery improvements made it possible for GM to make the bold Bolt declaration that promises 200 miles and a price tag of around $30,000 (after incentives). But if the Bolt makes it to market, it won't be until 2017 (as rumored) or later, is it really fair to promote the car as being available with a federal tax credit? For one thing, credits for plug-in vehicles may change in the next few years, but if the laws stay the same, each manufacturer is limited to 200,000 vehicles before the credits start to decline. GM is justifiably proud that it's sold over 70,000 Volts thus far, but with a new model coming out later this year and a few years to go until the Bolt potentially arrives, GM could be pushing right up against that 200,000 limit when the Bolt goes on sale. But Volt executive chief engineer Pam Fletcher told AutoblogGreen that, "We're just trying to take some of the confusion out." "Think about talking to the average consumer," she said. "First, going through the explanation of how the federal tax credit was set up, how it's being used and so on. [In the industry, we] have the luxury of understanding the nuances of that regulation, but right now people who aren't in the marketplace, they don't have the luxury of all that. It's already hard to communicate the details so we gave them data in a way that is what they're used to seeing." There was one question that drove the two-year Bolt gestation and design period, Simcoe said: What does a better battery offer a vehicle designer? "We've got a number of spaces we play in for powertrain technology and obviously electrification is one of them," he said. "With Volt 1 and then the Spark EV, with that development and batteries getting better for us, we started doing some practical packaging to deliver a vehicle which was not the traditional aero form which you see around electric vehicles.

Chevy Volt gets customer satisfaction 'recall' for rear hatch issue *UPDATE*

Mon, Jan 26 2015

Last week, General Motors has issued a "Customer Satisfaction program" for some 2011-2015 model year Chevrolet Volts to fix the manual rear lift gate not working as appropriate. According to Volt owner posts on Facebook, the problem manifests itself by the hatch not opening up all the way (sometimes worse in the cold) with some people bumping their heads. Dealers will replace the lift gate struts as part of the program. Some drivers were notified through the vehicle's OnStar system that there is a problem. GM has not yet said how many Volts are affected. *UPDATE* This program is for all 2011-2015 model year Volts. Chevrolet spokesperson Michelle Malcho told AutoblogGreen that, "This is not a recall, so there won't be any formal information posted on the GM website." The fixes will be free to affected Volt owners. Some 2010-2015 Cadillac SRX vehicles are also affected by the same problem and will also be fixed.
