This is a 1981 camaro  Z28 with the factory original 350 4sp. Only Canadian cars could come with a 350 and 4sp in the 1981 models. Its the last of the era and this one  has only 29,000   miles as well as original paint with an almost perfect finish. Never seen snow and was defiantly tucked away for collectable reasons. It has a full load with every available option including the rare combination of T-Tops with Air conditioning. Its also has a power antenna which is extremely uncommon. The deluxe silver interior was only available in 81 and even then only a few cars got it. Power locks ,cruise, tilt, tinted glass. Its charcoal grey and silver stripes. The stripes are in perfect shape and so is the paint. Has the deluxe mags and the T-Top covers are in the trunk. Not even a small leak from the T-Tops. The body and interior are exceptional and the car runs like a Swiss watch. Glass is perfect and tires are great.

All cars have flaws and I need to point them out. These are very very minor issues so lets not read into it too much.

It has been Zeibart undercoated from the original dealer.  I would remove it for a cleaner look under the hood and floors. There is some minor fading on a few of the interior plastic pieces because of different outsourcing at GM. These can be easily painted to exact matches. Original cassette is gone but no holes cut in dash. These cassetes are available all over the internet around 100 bucks. 1 door needs a glass weather strip, works fine but shows cracking in rubber, a very minor fix.

This car is on here to sell and not to waste everyone's time. I am not trying to set a price record on what a car like this will bring. I am realistic and do not play games. If you want to make any offers please think it through and I will respond to the serious ones.

Its an extremely rare and loaded car that is in incredible shape with very low miles. I can truck it as far as NY or CT so no worries about exporting, but this needs to be worked out beforehand. I might look at something of interest on trade but no bikes or customs. I also have 2 other Camaro's for sale on ebay so check them out.

GM recalls Colorado, Canyon, and Malibu for airbag problem

Wed, Mar 9 2016

The Basics: General Motors will recall and issue a stop sale on 1,740 total examples of the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, Malibu, and GMC Canyon. This includes 1,579 units in the US and 161 in Canada. The Problem: The second stage of the driver front airbag inflator might not be present. If this happens, the airbag won't fill as quickly as it should in a high-speed crash, which could increase the risk of injury, according to Reuters. This is not related in any way to Takata's inflator problems, and these parts come from a different supplier. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: GM will replace the vehicles' airbag assemblies. If You Own One: GM spokesperson Tom Wilkinson told Autoblog he wasn't specifically sure when recall repairs would begin but said it would be "shortly." He expects the fixes to happen "quickly" because of the small number of affected vehicles, and many of them are either in transport or already in dealer stock. More Information: GM recalled the 2015 Canyon and Colorado in 2014 for a completely separate airbag issue. In that case, a manufacturing error improperly wired the connectors. Related Video: GM Statement GM is recalling 1,579 MY 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Malibu vehicles in the United States and 161 in Canada to replace driver-side front airbags. The second stage of the airbag may not deploy properly in certain high-speed crashes. During a routine quality inspection, it was determined that a component required for a second-stage/high-output deployment was not loaded during the inflator build. Dealers will replace the driver-side front airbag assembly. There have been no reports of crashes or injuries related to this issue. This issue is unrelated to the ongoing Takata recalls.

A conversation with GM's Mark Reuss on MPG, aluminum and Corvettes

Wed, Feb 19 2014

There was plenty to talk about when General Motors hosted its annual mid-December holiday media reception a few months ago. GM had just decided to pull its global Chevrolet brand out of major European markets, where Chevys have competed directly with GM Europe Opel and Vauxhall vehicles, and the US government had sold its last remaining shares of GM stock. But most important was the company's just-reshuffled leadership. Post-bankruptcy CEO Dan Akerson had announced that he would step aside and that 52-year-old Mary Barra would replace him on January 15. Not only would she be the first woman to lead a major automaker, she would also be GM's first engineer CEO since Bob Stempel in the early 1990s. "I look at 2013 and 2014, as the retooling of General Motors" - Mark Reuss Replacing her as executive VP for global product development (and purchasing and supply chain) would be 49-year-old Mark Reuss, who had served a stellar four years as North American president, and elevated to corporate president (from executive VP and CFO) would be 42-year-old Dan Amman. All three are relatively young auto enthusiasts who are liked and respected inside and outside the company, and their collective talents and experience are highly complementary. I've interviewed Barra and found her smart, personable and knowledgeable, though she carefully walks the corporate line in speaking and answering questions. I met and chatted with Ammann for the first time at that holiday reception, and he made a good first impression. But I've known Reuss for some time as a genuinely good guy and a highly capable and inspiring leader, and I believe he is exactly the right person for the global product responsibility once famously held by the outspoken, oft-controversial Bob Lutz. So I jumped at an opportunity to join a group interview of Reuss (with mostly business reporters) at the Detroit Auto Show in January. It was an interesting session of mostly good questions, which he answered with refreshing candor and humor. "I look at 2013 and 2014, as the retooling of General Motors," Reuss said. "We've taken down almost every plant in North America, converted and turned it this last year, and to do that with award-winning vehicles and pretty flawless launches is key. We have to keep the train rolling on great product, because the rest won't happen without the best product, period." A reporter asked whether GM was pushing big trucks, SUVs and Corvettes again because gas is cheap. "No," Reuss said.
