This is a 1979 Camero Z28, 4speed car. It has been sitting in a garage since 1993. It is not a running car. The original 350 was taken out in the mid 1980's and another was built (more power). Over the years parts were taken from the original motor,so it is not all there. Here are the parts that come with the car... In the car is the drive shaft, transmission, bell housing, shifter, power steering pump, radiator, power brake booster M/C. I also have the block (350 oven baked, shot cleaned, and mag) heads, 6 pistons and rods(two were borrowed), fly wheel,Dist, There is no intake or carb (again borrowed)
The body is in good shape. It has a bad spot on the driver side front fender(see photo) It does have wear and tear on it but would be a good resto project. The interior needs a little TLC but is not cut up like so many old cars are.
The car deserves to be restored or at least resto mod. I would do it myself but I have a garage full mopar parts and two Plymouths. No room no time and no real knowledge where to go for Chevy parts. I did do a little checking and the car falls in just about a 1%er. Now you Chevy boys don't kill me with bad math. All this is general. Appox. 298,000 Camero produced in 1979, just over 3150 were light green. How many were z28's and how many of those were 4 speeds. Could be the right car for someone to restore.
I know its a pain but the car will have to be picked up, To many loose parts to ship. If you are the winning bidder I'll need $500.00 with in 7 days and the car picked up with in 14 days of the auctions end. Thanks for looking!!!

Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]
Tue, 19 Mar 2013This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...
Junkyard Gem: 1980 Chevrolet LUV Mikado
Sat, Oct 9 2021During the 1970s and into the 1980s, each member of the Detroit Big Three imported Japanese small pickups and sold them with Ford (Mazda Proceed), Dodge/Plymouth (Mitsubishi Forte), or Chevrolet (Isuzu Faster) badges here. Ford developed the Ranger and killed the Courier for 1983 (though Americans could still buy the Mazda-badged version all the way through 1993), while The General axed the LUV after the S-10 debuted in the 1982 model year. Isuzu sold the same truck as the P'up through 1987, though, and we might as well follow up our recent P'up Junkyard Gem with its LUV predecessor. LUV stood for Light Utility Vehicle, and I've managed to spot a handful in the boneyards over the years. This one now resides in a yard in northeastern Colorado. The Mikado trim package included striped seat upholstery and a sporty steering wheel, plus these cool dash badges. As far as I can tell, no LUV Mikado advertising featured any Gilbert and Sullivan tunes. This one is fairly rusty for Front Range Colorado, and it has endured a bed swap from some other small truck. The engine is the 75-horse Isuzu 1.8-liter. Members of this engine family went into everything from Chevy Chevettes to Isuzu Troopers in the United States. Very unusually for a small pickup during the Malaise Era, this one has a luxurious automatic transmission. Acceleration must have been a leisurely affair in this truck. Air conditioning? Unheard of! Someone stuck every one of their lunchtime apple stickers on the driver's door. After 41 years of work, this truck is done. Come on strong in a LUV of your own!
