We are the third owners of this car. We bought it from the second owner who had owned it since 1980 or 1981. After market brand new wheels & tires, but we also have the original wheels. We have an original build sheet for the car. Original paint, original interior except for the new carpet kit & headliner that we installed. All interior is intact, uncut and original. All gauges and interior parts work except the clock. Black on black 4 speed original is very desirable! Original miles, all numbers matching car. The previous owner put headers on it. We put new exhaust on it. The emission controls are all gone. Runs & drives very good. Sounds great! The only rust in the car is on the drivers side. It is a very small spot on the fender. The rest of the car is solid. The clear coat is turning white on the hood and rear spoiler. The original hood decal is lifting and curling in some spots. The paint is ORIGINAL. For a 1979 with black paint, the car looks great, but up close there are certainly some flaws. The only dents are the door ding in the drivers door & the two crimps on the chrome around the drivers door. We understand buying a car off of ebay isn't the same as buying a car you've seen in person, so we are trying to be as descript as possible about the few flaws this all original car offers. It is a beautiful car from 10 feet. It's reliable and very easy to drive. Great cruiser. Please look over the photographs. We have integrity and consider this car a great addition to anyone's collection. We are happy to answer any questions you may have. The car is also for sale locally. Hagerty prices the car at $8,700-$28,400. Out of 84,877 Z28 Camaro cars made in 1979, only 18,987 were the 4 speed ratio. With all included options such as the heavy duty radiator, less than 17,748 of this car were made. Item is for sale locally and seller assumes the right to end auction at any time. Thank you for looking, and please feel free to email with any questions.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
Surprise! GM putting aluminum in next-gen pickups
Wed, Aug 5 2015Last month, General Motors launched a series of ads touting the benefits of steel over aluminum – specifically, with regard to the Chevy Silverado versus the Ford F-150. (Kind of. We're not sure what a grizzly bear has to do with anything.) We took issue with the ads, with editor in chief Mike Austin saying they "reek of insecurity, and distract from the Silverado's strengths that could be used for positive advertising." But what bothers us more, is that yet another report surfaced claiming anti-aluminum GM will indeed use the weight-saving material in its next-generation fullsize trucks. On Tuesday, GM announced a $877-million investment for its truck plant in Flint, MI. But Reuters says that huge overhaul is because the trucks will use "substantially different equipment than the tools GM uses today." The report specifically states, "People familiar with the company's plans say GM's next-generation pickups and SUVs will make use of various materials, including aluminum and lightweight steel, to shed weight and gain fuel efficiency to meet tougher federal standards." The Silverado already uses a few aluminum components in the engine and hood, and if more widespread use will help GM build its best fullsize trucks ever, then that's great. Honestly, we have no reason to doubt that aluminum will be used in the next Silverado and GMC Sierra. We just hope GM remembers that nothing is ever truly deleted from the bowels of the Internet when it launches the subsequent "look how great aluminum is!" campaign. NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall
Wed, 13 Mar 2013
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
