I have a 1972 Chevrolet Camaro for sale, this is the complete car, almost all original (aftermarket intake, carb, and speakers) and it was running when parked. The car has a 350 small block, was a 2 barrel but had an Edelbrock intake manifold and a 4 barrel Holley carburetor added on. Also has AC, power steering, and manual brakes. The transmission is automatic, turbo 350 trans, and it has the horseshoe style shifter (72 was the last year for it) and it has the factory 10 bolt rear end. Factory original paint is orange, interior is black. Car has not been repainted but it does have some primer from the doors to the rear end. Driver seat upholstery is torn and the headliner is sagging. Floors do not have any holes, still have original carpet in the car. Could be rust forming underneath the carpet but none of it has fallen through. The car came with 6x9 speakers behind the back seat, original speakers were replaced with aftermarket speakers at some point. Still has original radio deck.
The engine turns over, and it can start, but it did not continue to run whenever I did get it (momentarily) started up. I changed the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, and spark plugs out. Could need the carb cleaned/rebuilt or there could be something wrong with the distributor.
The car needs rust repairs in the usual places such as the rear quarters. The trunk pan needs to be replaced due to rust. There is also a crack in the passenger side of the windshield. I have pictures to show the extent of the rust but if you need any other pictures let me know and I will get them for you.
This car spent its life in one family until I bought it, and I have the (clear) title in hand.
The car will be available for local pick up only once purchased.
I am also posting it for sale locally, if it sells locally I will close this auction.
There is a reserve in place, but I will consider accepting the highest bid.
For anything not covered in here please feel free to send me a message.
Thanks for looking.

Body shop manager stole over $500,000 worth of government trucks and parts
Fri, Jan 27 2017The US Department of Justice announced yesterday that the manager of a collision and restoration business in Virginia admitted he helped misappropriate and sell vehicles and parts from the State Department. Specifically, he sold 12 Chevrolet Suburbans, a Hummer, and $7,500 worth of tires and wheels. He pled guilty to charges to commit theft of government property and wire fraud. He will likely see 18 to 20 months in prison, a fine of $4,000 to $40,000, and has already agreed to pay restitution of $416,020 and asset forfeiture of the same amount. According to the Department of Justice, the body shop manager, James Ratcliffe, worked with the owner of the business and a State Department official, both unnamed, to obtain the property. It started with the wheels and tires, which were delivered and sold on two occasions, one in 2011 and another in 2012. The trucks came later, and were sold throughout 2011 and 2013. Ratcliffe and the shop owner kept most of the profits, and shared some of the leftovers with the government official. In addition to the vehicles that were sold, the government official also gave Ratcliffe a pair of Suburbans for his own personal use. The Department of Justice estimated the total value of the SUVs at $96,400. In total, the group misappropriated $512,420 worth of property. Related Video:
"Turbo" Chevrolet Camaro is a 700-HP fantasy car come to life [w/video]
Thu, 07 Feb 2013For a concept car built to promote an animated movie about a snail that wants to go racing, this thing ain't half bad. The outsized monster you see before you started life as a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then went through a big-time Hollywood makeover before being positioned on the Chevrolet stand here in Chicago.
This 2013 "Turbo" Camaro Coupe is getting the promotion machine ratcheted up for a new DreamWorks tale by the name of, you guessed it, Turbo. Coming this summer, the movie will follow one snail's quest to become a race driver worthy of making the cut at the Indy 500. Like many DreamWorks vehicles before it, we're guessing that the petrolhead snail will star in a movie that adults (especially racing fans) with have no trouble watching with their kids. Check out the trailer below to see if you agree.
As for the car, we're told that it is "instrumental" in transforming Turbo from snail into racer. Helping the beastly pony car in this mighty task, is an ankle-cracking front splitter matched by a ungodly huge rear wing out back, a COPO hood and a supercharged (yes, supercharged) V8 engine making more than 700 horsepower. 24-inch wheels all the way around - 10-inches wide in front and 15-inches wide in back - should allow the "Turbo" Camaro to hook up with ease, as well.
Looking back at the Citation IV concept that likely shaped the GM EV1
Wed, Aug 20 2014Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. We're not sure how that applies to the GM EV1, but we'd still like to share something from Autoline Daily, an online automotive new show with our friend John McElroy. He's been covering the business for decades now and recently found something interesting: pictures of the 1984 Chevrolet Citation IV concept, seen above. Displayed half a decade before the first electric concept that would become the EV1 (inset), McElroy says it's now clear that the elegant, aerodynamic EV1 took a lot of styling cues from the Citation IV, which was developed in part thanks to GM's new-at-the-time Aerodynamics Laboratory. We agree with him that the spats over the rear wheels, the flush glass, and the covered headlights all bear a certain kind of similarity between the two cars. That the colors almost match is a nice coincidence. The Impact (the concept version of the EV1) looked "frumpier," McElroy says, because it wasn't as long as the Citation. You can read a lot more about the Citation IV here and check out McElroy's thoughts in the video below. Find the Citation starting at around 3:45. This content is hosted by a third party.
