You are bidding on a 1970 Chevy Camaro RS with original matching number 350 engine 10 bolt rear end.

Engine was rebuilt about 5k miles ago, stock rebuild with Edlebrock performer camshaft and intake. Recently rebuilt 3 row radiator, new water pump, belts and hoses, and heater core. HEI distributor with new cap, rotor and coil. All new fuel hoses. Rebuilt cylinder heads from a later model chevy to handle unleaded fuel. Coated headers and a 2 1/2" exhaust with new mufflers.

New brakes, master, prop valve etc. Rebuilt suspension with new KYB shocks, Energy suspension bushings, subframe and core support bushings are new, with grade 8 hardware. Factory front and rear sway bars.

The interior has the original 1970 low-back RS seats, original headliner, new carpet, sail panel, and package tray, decent original kickpanels
and interior quarters. Original lap belts installed. Original horseshoe shifter in good condition. Neutral safety and back-up lights work.

Glass installed; new trim clips installed for front and rear. New interior door handles.

Most bodywork done, front header needs some attention, body lines are decent, could use minor adjustment. New or refurbished hardware
throughout. Rebuilt door hinges. Door and trunk locks are functional.

Roofrail, door and trunk weatherstrip installed,  new outer window scrapers installed.
Underhood, undercar and trunk area detailed.

Parts that come with the car includes:

  Front and rear window molding

Console shift bezel and trim plate

  Under-column dash panel with ashtray
This Camaro was a project started years ago, with most of the downtime spent in enclosed storage. More recently it was purchased as a father-son project. Then the son decided he wanted a Charger, so the Camaro needs a good home. It has been worked on and driven short distances sporadically.   It runs and drives well, very solid and tight. Brakes are good. Lights and instruments work. The transmission has developed a leak at  the front seal, was not there when it was parked so it may just need to be driven.  The windshield is new but is cracked on the lower passenger side.

A California car with a clean and clear California title.

Inspect before you bid, no exceptions, ask questions before you bid. This is a project car that needs alot of work, but the hard work has been done, and its a real RS Camaro. I am selling this car on behalf of a client you doesnt have an ebay account. Car is available for inspection in the Simi Valley area (northern part of Los Angeles) I ca arrange shipping to a port or across country.

Car Club USA: Louisiana Mudfest

Tue, Jun 16 2015

There's nothing quite like mudding. Big tires, huge power, and crazy-wild gearheads that like to throw down on a mud pit almost as much as a thirty rack of Coors. In the latest, and some might argue greatest yet episode of Car Club USA, we head to Louisiana to throw some dirt at Mudfest. As Louisiana's one and only Mouth of the South puts it, "If you don't mud ride... go to Texas I guess." Joining The Mouth and friendly rivals The Most Hated Mud Sluts, we dive in. Beyond the obvious V8 blasting and tractor-tire spinning, those who know best describe Mudfest as, "Good cooking, good friends, good fun, and a lot of partying." It's a motorsport spectacle unlike any you're likely to find up North or out West, though no less impressive to behold. Follow along with the fun, the impromptu drag racing, the trash talking, and the mechanical madness. And find out why, at Mudfest, "if we don't tear it up, we ain't done it right." Each Car Club USA episode features a different car club or event from across the US, where passionate owner communities gather to share automotive experiences and embark on incredible adventures. From Main Street cruises to off-road trails, catch all the latest car club activity on Autoblog. Chevrolet Ford Jeep RAM Truck Off-Road Vehicles Car Club USA Videos autoblog black

Corvette Z06 and Viper TA square off at the strip

Wed, Jan 21 2015

There are many long-standing grudge matches among automobiles: 911 vs GT-R, Mustang vs Camaro, Ferrari vs Lamborghini... but as far as high-end American metal goes, it doesn't get much more legendary than Viper vs 'Vette. So after Chevy released the new Corvette Z06, we knew it was only a matter of time before it would have to square off against the Viper TA. And what better place to pit these two parallel pillars of American performance than on the drag strip? Fortunately that's just what we have here. In one corner, the 2014 Dodge Viper TA, with its 8.4-liter V10 pumping out 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. In the other, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the supercharger on its 6.2-liter V8 more than making up for the discrepancy in displacement and cylinder count to produce 650 hp and just as much torque. But numbers don't tell the whole story, so watch the video clip to see which reaches the end of the quarter-mile first. Recharge Wrap-up: Chevy Volt CarPlay video, Tesla Supercharger importance

Fri, Feb 5 2016

A video demonstrates Apple CarPlay on the touch display in the next-generation Chevrolet Volt. The Volt's eight-inch (bigger than an iPad Mini) capacitive display is capable of putting Siri and your iPhone apps and right at your fingertips. It's "the best CarPlay display I've seen," says the user in the video. In case you're not in the market for a new Volt, 9to5Mac offers some of its favorite aftermarket CarPlay screens. See the video above, and read more at 9to5Mac. A single Supercharger can make a big difference in the life of a Tesla owner. Teslarati's Electric Jen talks about purchasing a Model S, being assured by both Tesla employees and the map of planned Supercharger sites that one would be built along an important route for her. With the construction being pushed back, it made visiting family tricky. "As if owning such a grand car isn't embarrassing enough, asking for a ride to drop off and pick up said car because you can't make it home without charging really made me feel awkward," she says. "You see, one single charging location can mean the world to some people," Jen adds. Read the whole article at Teslarati. Tesla once had considered creating mobile range extender trailers for the Model S. Elon Musk touched upon the abandoned idea during his visit to Paris. While Tesla ultimately dismissed the concept, Nomadic Power has taken the opportunity to hitch their product onto the Tesla brand. "We are delighted, that Tesla Motors' CEO Elon Musk is thinking about a concept like ours for even more extending the range of the Tesla models," says Nomadic Power's CEO Manfred Baumgaertner. He adds, "This confirms our approach to build a long distance mobility provider for all electric vehicles on the market." If you say so, Baumgaertner. When the batteries have degraded to the point that they're no longer suitable for use on the road, they still have a significant capacity that can be used for other purposes. Still useful for stationary storage, they can be used to support charging sites in order to allow for faster charging. The stationary batteries can charge slowly at the site, but then offer up the juice in a hurry when it's needed for a vehicle. Read more from Renault.
