1969 Z28 Camaro Rs!!!!! Real X77 Car. Pro Touring, Factory Color Fathom Green on 2040-cars
Cypress, Texas, United States
1969 Z/28 RS Camaro - X77D80 This is a REAL Z/28 RS Camaro!!! Not a clone!!!!!
I will do my best to describe my car so here it goes. The camaro is a real X77 camaro and at one time it had the 302DZ motor and 4 speed in it. It does not have the original motor or transmission in the car. However, it is still and always will be a REAL Z/28 and the RS package was dealer installed in 1970. The Z/28 is Fathom Green which is the factory original color with black interior. The interior is in excellent condition. It has pro-touring bucket seats the fit just right and make for a very comfortable ride, all of the gauges work as well as the lights, turn signals, wipers, power steering, power brakes (disk in the front / drum in the back) and COLD Vintage A/C! The Z/28 still has the original 12 bolt posi rear end in it and provides excellent traction when needed! The wheels are billet aluminum 3 piece 20" wheels that give the car an aggressive stance for street cruising and handling. The motor has been confirmed as a 350 sbc and the shifts are made with a turbo 400 transmission with a mild shift kit. The engine compartment is so clean you can eat off of it as you can see from the pictures it is totally chromed out. There is no trace of any rust on the car. The Z is a real head turner and looks amazing from any angle. There are no mechanical issues or problems with the car. It runs just a good as it looks. ODOMETER READING IS EXEMPT THE SOUND SYSTEM IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate to sell it but unfortunatly I have a medical issue that is more important at this time so its time to pass the torch to someone else that is a Camaro lover. I have a buy now price with a "make an offer" option. So if you want to make a serious offer feel free to do so via ebay or email, text or call me (281-702- FIVE 9 FIVE 8). Don't make an offer if you cant afford it or your trying to get financing. I do not have time to entertain bogus offers. However, do be afraid to make an offer. The worse thing that will happen is I will say no if its too low. A $2,500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 48 HOURS AFTER PURCHASE. THE BALANCE IS DUE WITHIN 5 DAYS! All forms of
payment must clear my bank before I will release the car.

Why the Corvette is Chevrolet's billion-dollar baby
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Edmunds has worked up a piece that tries to figure out just how much the global Chevrolet Corvette economy is worth, a spitballed guesstimate putting the number at more than $2.5 billion with the proviso that the number is probably low. It starts by taking Corvette's new car sales of 14,132 units last year, which would equate to $714,725,900 (including destination) assuming ever car sold was a base coupe with no options. In the final tally, a little extra padding gets that number up to $750,000,000.
But that's not all. Consider this: Many of the almost 1.4 million Corvettes produced over the model's history are still on the road. There are new parts being produced and aftermarket companies like Mid-America Motorworks deaing business, that single Illinois company doing more than $40 million a year in sales. There are the Corvette events large and small, restorers who do nothing but Corvettes, salvage yards that deal only in used Corvette parts and the Corvette magazines where owners find all this stuff.
And then there are the Corvette-themed tchotchkes, every single one of which provides a tiny contribution to the huge licensing royalties that General Motors collects every year. The article admits there's no way to come to an accurate number, but it just goes to show how valuable one specific model can be to a company.
GM recalls Colorado, Canyon, and Malibu for airbag problem
Wed, Mar 9 2016The Basics: General Motors will recall and issue a stop sale on 1,740 total examples of the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, Malibu, and GMC Canyon. This includes 1,579 units in the US and 161 in Canada. The Problem: The second stage of the driver front airbag inflator might not be present. If this happens, the airbag won't fill as quickly as it should in a high-speed crash, which could increase the risk of injury, according to Reuters. This is not related in any way to Takata's inflator problems, and these parts come from a different supplier. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: GM will replace the vehicles' airbag assemblies. If You Own One: GM spokesperson Tom Wilkinson told Autoblog he wasn't specifically sure when recall repairs would begin but said it would be "shortly." He expects the fixes to happen "quickly" because of the small number of affected vehicles, and many of them are either in transport or already in dealer stock. More Information: GM recalled the 2015 Canyon and Colorado in 2014 for a completely separate airbag issue. In that case, a manufacturing error improperly wired the connectors. Related Video: GM Statement GM is recalling 1,579 MY 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Malibu vehicles in the United States and 161 in Canada to replace driver-side front airbags. The second stage of the airbag may not deploy properly in certain high-speed crashes. During a routine quality inspection, it was determined that a component required for a second-stage/high-output deployment was not loaded during the inflator build. Dealers will replace the driver-side front airbag assembly. There have been no reports of crashes or injuries related to this issue. This issue is unrelated to the ongoing Takata recalls.
China's rise, global restructuring wither GM's Korea division
Wed, Jan 7 2015An article in the Daily Kanban suggests the sun is setting on GM Korea, and it could already be well into dusk. GM Korea came about when General Motors, along with co-investors SAIC and Suzuki, bought Daewoo Motors from parent company Daewoo Group in 2001; it had a previous tie-up with GM, a joint venture that ended in 1992, although Daewoo cars were based on GM cars until 1996. Over the decade following the purchase, it became such an important part of operations that it was renamed GM Korea in 2011, "to reflect its heightened status in [the] global operations of GM." Just two years later, the printed rumors were that the subsidiary responsible for a fifth of Chevrolet's global production could be shutting down. The division's sales were down almost 21 percent through November of last year, counting domestic South Korean sales, exports, and CKD – Complete Knock Down – products. That makes the labor strife, already an issue for four years, even more acute, reports say the subsidiary will lose $36 million a year if it can't get the job and wage cuts it wants, and government concessions can't make up for the losses. And it gets worse, so head over to Daily Kanban to read the rest of the story.
