1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28 ordered with seldom seen Rally Sport option, Rally Sport & other options. The yellow "X3" crayon mark under
the old glue can also be seen-which on the later cars is X33 on trim tag. Sold new with rally sport option, gauge
package, deluxe interior, 3.73 posi, power disc brakes, spoilers, M21, sport steering wheel.
Sold new about 100 miles from me in late May '69. Have original owners name on invoice, next owner's registration
receipt from '79 until he passed away about 30 years later, photos of car with widow, son & new owner from whom I
bought car from. Car was built first week of Dec '68 (12A), custom black interior (712) and gold with black stripes
(65 65) per trim tag. Original trim & vin tag and hidden vin matches.
Car does run, drive and stops. Car has "CE" code warranty replacement engine, original rebuilt 302 engine is
included that I received with car and told it was original for it (386 casting 4 bolt, K 8 8 date, 1178 crank, .030
forged pistons). Original BU code 3.73 posi rear end still in car. Has DZ carb & winters intake. Original brake
booster. Metal looks original other than new GM quarters installed years ago. Spots in lower trunk that need
repair, also driver floor board (I wouldn't replace but that is up to you). Some other spots of rust showing as car
is almost 50 years old and hasn't been restored, but is a car you could drive and restore. I have more pictures of

Hot Wheels Camaro to make big debut at Indy

Chevrolet handed over the keys to 33 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 festival cars this week. Race directors get the luxury of driving the droptops around Indianapolis in an ongoing tradition with roots all the way back to the 1960s. The stunt is supposed to remind area residents that the Indy 500 is right around the corner. The cars are our first look at the special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition in convertible form, and they are slated to head to dealers after a one-time production run. The cars also represent the first time in history full-size Hot Wheels have been offered for sale by an automaker.
The cars will be available in both the previously seen coupe bodystyle and this convertible configuration, and will feature metallic blue paint and special wheels with the iconic redline accent. Buyers will be able to choose between the V6-powered 2LT trim and the V8-powered 2SS guise.
Hot Wheels says the original Custom Camaro toy was one of the original 16 1:64-scale diecasts, and it remains one of the company's most valuable collector items today.

Opel CEO talks new EV, will likely be fresh face for Chevy, too

The rumored demise of the Opel Ampera has been confirmed, but there's good news, too. Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann has been busy Tweeting information about the brand's next plug-in vehicle, admitting that the Ampera is on the way out but that plug-in vehicles are here to stay. His Tweets, in full, read: After the eventual run-out of the current generation Ampera, we'll introduce a successor product in the electric vehicle segment. Our next electric vehicle will be part of our massive product offensive – with 27 new vehicles in the 2014-2018 time frame. We see eMobility as important part of the mobility of tomorrow and we will continue to drive down costs & deliver affordability. As we learned earlier this week, the Ampera will not be refreshed when the current Chevy Volt is updated, most likely because of slow sales. Opel sold just 332 Amperas in the first five months of 2014. For now, General Motors is still building Amperas in Michigan for export to Europe. So, what might this new EV mean for the General Motors plug-in fleet? Official spokespeople are being quiet, but we think it's safe to say the new EV Neumann is talking about is not simply a rebadged Chevy Spark EV. This is the first official word about an entirely new EV, and we expect it will come to both the Chevrolet and Opel brands.

Suzuki recalls 2 million cars globally

Suzuki is recalling two million vehicles across the globe, including a number of Chevrolet Cruze sedans that it builds for General Motors, because the ignition switches may begin to smoke. None of the Cruzes being recalled were sold in the US, though. This recall is limited to the Japanese, European and Australian markets. In Suzuki's home market, 1,873,000 vehicles are being recalled, including the Cruze and a number kei cars built for Mazda (the Carol and AZ-Wagon), as well as the automaker's own Alto, Wagon R and Swift. Affected vehicles were built between 1998 and 2009. The remaining 133,000 vehicles include Cruzes and other Suzuki products sold in Europe and Australia. There have been no reports of injuries or accidents due to the 67 reported incidents, all of which come from the Japanese market, a Suzuki spokesperson told Automotive News. Related Video:
