Nice original unrestored 2 owner 3 including me,numbers matching 307 turbo 350 speedo shows 23147 miles not sure if it is original or not but as clean as the car is it could be.Original owner purchased the car new 2/1/69 at connel chevrolet Costa Mesa California drove the car back and forth to work until 1984 at that time he purchased a new car and parked the camaro in the garage. In 1999 he asked his friend if he knew any one that would like to buy his camaro and the friend purchased the car registerd it for 1 year drove it a couple times then parked it in a carport behind his garage threw a car cover over it until a purchased the car last fall. 1981 the car was backed into and the right hand rear quarter was dented in at that time they had the quarter panel repaired and the car was repainted and a new viynil top was installed. Most every thing on the car is original to the car including the 14x6 rally wheels, mint original  soft ray tinted glass  except winshield, mint original orange hounds tooth interior, original working air conditioning, factory disc brakes, brand new tires,I pulled the trans out last week and replaced all the gaskets and seals, car has no leaks.the spare tire is not original to the car, when the car was painted they did not get a very good match and the car is a bit darker then hugger orange. There is a couple rust holes in the trunk as seen in the pics and each fender has a rust spot below the rocker molding size of a nickle. This car is very original and clean showing factory over spray on fire wall, under carriage, hood ect. Runs, shifts, drive down the road very well and best of all 23 miles to the gallon. Nice original car call with?s or for more info 801 336 8114

Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.

Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.

Chevy Corvette gets Valet Mode with Performance Data Recorder [w/video]

Mon, 18 Aug 2014

For the 2015-model-year, Chevrolet introduces Valet Mode for the Corvette, an enhancement to the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) already available and to your peace of mind. The PDR already captures 720p HD video with a windshield-mounted camera, records interior audio with a cabin microphone and gathers telemetry data using GPS, saving the data to an SD card in the glovebox. You can then watch your track-day antics with various information overlays on the center console screen.
Valet Mode will let you hit 'Replay' when your car gets pulled up front smelling vaguely of fricasseed clutch. Turned on by entering a four-digit code, it also locks the interior storage spaces and turns off the infotainment system. It can't be turned off until the code is re-entered. There's a press release below with more information as well as a video that explains how it works, with the obligatory dig at the 'Vette's biggest foe.
