Beautiful 1968 RS/SS Camaro Convertible. Not many of these left in this condition. Purchased it several years ago in this condition and have enjoyed driving it. I had a mechanic rebuild the motor for me a few years ago and it runs great. Engine is a big block 396 with Edelbrock intake, demon carburetor, upgraded cam added, MSD ignition, additional electric fan added, runs cool in stop and go show traffic even when its hot. Automatic 3 speed transmission, power steering, power brakes, posi-traction rear end, dual exhaust (sounds great too). Interior is in good shape, could use a new carpet kit. Exterior look great. Some body work and paint has been done in the past from the previous owner. Front disc brakes, Crager rims with BF Goodrich radial T/A tires. Convertible top and rear window is in great shape with power control working great. R/S retracting headlight covers operated by an vacuum system works great. Trunk very clean with some minor surface rust found under mat. Car is in very good condition for its age. Cowl-induction hood that looks very cool but not original. After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey
Mon, 25 Feb 2013If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.
