Hello Car enthusiasts world wide .

Up for auction is one of THE most unique classic Camaro's to come up on Ebay.   This is a professionally built car  with $75,000 invested but I am open to offers and /or other options . Although for the most part, this car looks very stock in its overall appearance, it is anything but that.  This hideaway light RS 1967 Camaro is a full on show car that is also a NHRA legal race car .  For motivation, it has a brand new 511 Cubic Inch Merlin Big Block  that has been dyno tested at 1,000 horsepower.  There is literally over $30,000 invested in just the engine!  And for an added bonus it has an "Air to Water Intercool" that can produce a total of 1,300 Horsepower ! This is a Roller engine that can be operated on the street , strip, or show circuit . The heads are WORLD aluminum units . On top of this work of art is an F2 Pro Charger and it works amazing. The Carb is a hi CFM "C & S Specialties" unit.  The Pistons are special forged blower units. The engine has an MSD ignition with 7 AL box Prolite Distributor and Rev limiter.Jet coated large diameter tube headers help this monster engine breathe , and connected to them are 3 inch exhaust with H Pipe , 2 chamber Flow Master mufflers . The pipes exit the rear of the car just under the rear bumper. The Transmission is a 3 speed Turbo 400 , has been custom built, and has a reverse shift pattern , Connected to it is a custom built Stall converter . Out back is yet another work of art. The rearend  is a custom Mossier built 9 inch with posi unit , 3.70 gears , aluminum center section, and big splined axles.  The front suspension has been completely redone and has tubular upper & lower control arms from Detroit Speed.
A custom dual reservoir master cylinder handles the 4 wheel Wildwood disc brakes.  To cool off this monster engine, a new aluminum radiator was installed along with a pair of high CFM electric fans. The engine never gets hot. The entire car was completely re wired to insure safety, proper charging, as well as an overall sanitary look.

The paint and body work is absolutely flawless on this beauty !   2 stage Urethane paint is used on this tu-tone yellow with black striped Camaro. After color was applied, several coats of clear was applied , So much that the stripes can hardly be felt to the touch.  A custom cowl induction hood properly covers the engine and an optional  SS / RS  rear spoiler adds to the rear look and style.

The car has brand new glass all the way around  along with all new stainless and chrome. In addition, all new felt, weatherstripping , and rubber was installed on the entire car !  All new upholstery was installed - including headliner, door panels, carpet, kick panels, seats, dash, etc. Interior color is black.

USA Weld Racing Forged wheels are mounted on M/T  (Mickey Thompson) Tires - 15 inch Sportsman S/R up front, and ET Street P315/60R15 in the rear. NOTE: It is very important to state that the body, wheel wells, etc were not altered by placing the large width & diameter wheels/tires out back. These are literally the largest tires that can be used without altering anything.

The undercarriage is as clean and detailed  as the exterior / interior of the car. As stated prior, this can easily go to an indoor car show and win awards. It can be taken to the local Dragstrip where it is set up to run 8 second quarter mile times! lastly, it is so reliable that it drives just fine on the street and to your local "Cruise Night" where EVERYONE stops what they're doing and watches it drive in.  Its simply a beautiful car where it has every attention to detail.

With over $75,000 invested in this car I can sell it outright at an agreed price , but will also entertain the possibilities of cash plus trade.  1930's - 1960's American made cars are what I would consider. Customs, Hot Rods, Street Rods, Muscle Cars, or maybe even a stock Classic are what I would be looking for. I am NOT looking for an even trade as I need funds to pay bills.   All potential trades must run and drive. cars needing paint might be considered too.

I reserve the right to end auction at any time .  Serious inquiries only.  All sales are  final. There are no exchanges, refunds, warranties, or guaranties. Ask all questions prior to bidding and/or buying . Car may be viewed in person.  I will ship this car anywhere in the world.  I know of 2 reputable Auto Transport / Shipping companies. Buyer pays for shipping and I will see to it that the car arrives in a safe and prompt manner.
Feel free to call me any time - day or evening  Standard Pacific Time.  Thank you and have a wonderful day. (909)-437-2068.

Best cars for snow and ice in 2023 and 2024

Tue, Jan 23 2024

What's the best car for snow? The real answer is "the one with winter tires." What do we mean by that? You could have the finest, most advanced all-wheel-drive system or four-wheel drive in the world, but if you're running all-seasons (the spork of tires), your fancy four-wheeler won't matter much. The odds are, any vehicle on the road running good winter tires will probably perform adequately in slippery, slushy and/or snowy road conditions. (Here's a more complete explanation of why winter tires are totally worth it). In other words, you don't really need any of the cars on this list. With a set of winter tires, countless others will do the job, and even these will be at their best with proper rubber. You can find a variety of winter tires for your car here at Tire Rack. Keep in mind that you will need a full set of four snow tires for safety and performance, no matter what you're driving. The days of your dad putting just two snows on the family truckster to get it moving in a straight line are long gone. Don't get us wrong, getting a car that performs well in snow and ice is still a worthy criteria for car buyers. According to the U.S. Transportation Department, 70% of Americans live in places that get snow and ice. And much of the country has been blasted with arctic air for much of the new year. So let's look at the cars. First, we're highlighting choices for a variety of buyers and price points. Second, we're not just considering snow; we're considering general wintery conditions people will experience driving to work or school. As such, these are all choices with advanced all-wheel-drive systems, usually with "torque-vectoring" systems that not only automatically shunt power front and back, but side to side between the rear axles. Most have extra ground clearance for getting through deep snow, and we prefer those vehicles with more responsive steering, throttles and transmissions that provide a greater sense of vehicle control in slippery conditions.    Acura RDX Read our Acura RDX Review Acura's Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive system was one of the first to offer torque-vectoring, and besides often being touted for its ability to greatly enhanced dry-road handling, its benefits in the slick stuff can be profound. It's actually surprising that Acura hasn't leaned into this capability further by offering more rugged versions of its vehicles.

GMC Envoy could be returning as GM files for 'Envoy' trademark

Thu, Dec 27 2018

The GMC Envoy could be on its way back, if a recent GM trademark filing is any indication of the future. To be exact, GM's trademark filing is for the name "Envoy," and is applicable to "motor vehicles, namely, sport utility vehicles, engines therefor and structural parts thereof." A victim of the recession and high gas prices, the original Envoy – related to the Blazer, and more recently the TrailBlazer and similar GM SUVs – was discontinued after the 2009 model year. In today's SUV-happy market of low gas prices, unearthing the somewhat familiar Envoy name makes a certain amount of sense. As soon as gas prices start trending in the other direction, we'll all be saying the opposite, though. What this SUV will take shape as is the big question now. With the Chevrolet Blazer well and truly on its way, there's every reason for a GMC version of Chevy's stylish new crossover sporting the Envoy name. Another, less likely, possibility is a Traverse-sized vehicle to slot between the shorter Acadia (10 inches shorter than the Chevy Traverse) and the body-on-frame Yukon. GM could come out of left field and make the Envoy a Buick too. It fits the bill with the "En" beginning, and Buick undoubtedly has crossovers in the works. We think that's even more unlikely, but it's important to remember that we're still in the speculation phase. Soon we'll drive Chevy's new Blazer, and perhaps have more news then. Check in next week for that. Related video:

Can DARPA hack into a Chevy Impala through OnStar?

Mon, Feb 9 2015

An ex-video game wizard named Dan Kaufman tracked a circuitous route to becoming the head of the Software Innovation Division at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. DARPA normally makes these pages because of its work with autonomous vehicles and automobile technology that overlaps with military applications, but for the past five years Kaufman and his multiple research teams have been working on creating unhackable software code that could be used in military drones. Part of that work has involved hacking into just about everything else, and as a segment on 60 Minutes reveals, that includes cars. The masterminds discovered a way to hack into OnStar, the General Motors telematics system. After figuring out how to hook into OnStar's emergency communication system, they overwhelmed it with data. While the computer was busy trying to manage the overrun of data, the research team inserted code that took control of the sedan's other computers, giving it control. So while reporter Leslie Stahl tooled around in a parking lot, a DARPA researcher with a laptop would occasionally take control of the car, like by applying its brakes or, conversely, removing the ability for Stahl to use the brakes. Hacking into vehicles has been in the news for years: Car and Driver ran a feature on the various ways cars could be hacked in 2011, two hackers released a car-hacking code at the hacker-fest Defcon in 2013 and demonstrated how it worked on a Toyota Prius and Ford Escape, and German researchers demonstrated how they could hack into BMW's Connected Drive remote-services system last week via an attack on the cars' telematics units. This isn't about GM or Onstar or the future; hacking into cars of all kinds isn't coming, it's here, and it doesn't take the half-billion-dollar annual budget of a small DARPA division to do it. Check out the 60 Minutes video on the CBS site (you can watch the entire video from a mobile device without logging in). The OnStar hacking starts at 6:45, but it's worth watching what leads up to that. News Source: Jalopnik Chevrolet Safety Technology Infotainment Autonomous Vehicles Videos Sedan hacking 60 minutes
