1967 Camaro RS/SS 396, 4 speed, Los Angeles California built car. The body is awesome. It is
very straight. No door dings and zero rust. The paint was done approximately 15 years ago. It still looks great,
but does have some minor touch ups. You will be proud to take it to any show. Beautiful floorpans and trunk pan.
It has 1968, 1969 SS hood vents because, well, they look a billion times cooler than the 67 vents. I have the
originals too though. It has a factory in-dash Tachometer and console mounted gauges which all work well. The
Camaro is very drivable, but with approximately 600 HP, it is a monster when you want it to be. It is very
streetable and with the big aluminum radiator, it stays nice and cool even in Southern California traffic. Full
mechanical restoration with suspension and 4 wheel drilled and slotted Disc Brake upgrades. New Bowtie 4 bolt 454,
steel crank, 7/16 forged rods, forged pistons, rectangular port heads, S/S Crower Roller Rockers, Clay Smith custom
ground cam, Hooker Ceramic Coated headers, stainless exhaust, crossover tube, custom flywheel, Centerforce clutch,
custom Muncie w/studded case, Hurst Comp shifter, Hotchkiss springs, KYB shocks , sub-frame Connectors, Ansen
Ground Grabbers (super rare), QP FORD 9' With Detroit Locker and Richmond 3.50 gears, HD Axles with 3' long studs,
Weld Pro stars with 205/65/15 front and 295/50/15. Hide-away headlamps work perfectly. Less than 300 miles on new
drive train. Nice black deluxe interior. Car has always been garaged it's whole life and it shows. This Camaro is
very fast, very fun, and ready to cruise! I am located in Cardiff, California near San Diego.

Poor headlights cause 40 cars to miss IIHS Top Safety Pick rating
Mon, Aug 6 2018Over the past few months, we've noticed a number of cars and SUVs that have come incredibly close to earning one of the IIHS's highest accolades, the Top Safety Pick rating. They have great crash test scores and solid automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning systems. What trips them up is headlights. That got us wondering, how many vehicles are there that are coming up short because they don't have headlights that meet the organization's criteria for an "Acceptable" or "Good" rating. This is a revision made after 2017, a year in which headlights weren't factored in for this specific award. This is also why why some vehicles, such as the Ford F-150, might have had the award last year, but have lost it for this year. We reached out to someone at IIHS to find out. He responded with the following car models. Depending on how you count, a whopping 40 models crash well enough to receive the rating, but don't get it because their headlights are either "Poor" or "Marginal." We say depending on how you count because the IIHS actual counts truck body styles differently, and the Infiniti Q70 is a special case. Apparently the version of the Q70 that has good headlights doesn't have adequate forward collision prevention technology. And the one that has good forward collision tech doesn't have good enough headlights. We've provided the entire list of vehicles below in alphabetical order. Interestingly, it seems the Volkswagen Group is having the most difficulty providing good headlights with its otherwise safe cars. It had the most models on the list at 9 split between Audi and Volkswagen. GM is next in line with 7 models. It is worth noting again that though these vehicles have subpar headlights and don't quite earn Top Safety Pick awards, that doesn't mean they're unsafe. They all score well enough in crash testing and forward collision prevention that they would get the coveted award if the lights were better.
Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
