1967 Camaro V8 5 Speed Manual Transmission Arizona Car on 2040-cars
Camp Verde, Arizona, United States
This is the nicest first gen Camaro I have seen offered for under 20K. This is an Arizona car so it’s a solid candidate for a full restoration. Alternatively, it can be driven as it is. It’s a lot of fun to drive and turns heads everywhere. This is a 1967 Camaro base model factory V8 car. It is not a true SS. It has a 1968 SS hood and the SS gas cap. It is a rust free Arizona car with original floor pans and trunk. Freshly built 350 engine with a 5 speed manual transmission. The engine is turning about 1900 RPMs at 60 mph-this could be a daily driver. PS, no power brakes but brakes do work well. Tires have very low miles and were new in 2014. Here are some drivetrain specs: Has pop-up pistons, fuelly heads,(camel hump) with all stainless steel valves and new double springs and roller rockers. Has been bored .030 and balanced. Has 750 quardrajet that works great. Stealth manifold and headers. The car is quick, yet dependable. The previous owner told me he drove it to Mexico and averaged 21 MPG. 5 Speed manual transmission with new clutch. The rear end is a 10 bolt. The interior has new carpet, seat covers, door panels and visors. The headliner is in good condition. The exterior looks good in pictures but the sanding/painting work was not professionally done and it is very obvious. Sanding ripples as well as sanding marks under the finish can be seen. I tried to take angled pics to show the imperfections but the fact is it looks better in the pics than up close and in person. I’m just trying to be honest since most of you are probably too far away from Arizona to inspect. Both quarters have been professionally replaced, but not due to rust. The previous owner attempted to use a non-traditional body filler which didn’t work out. There is some bubbling on the horizontal surface of the left rear quarter. It appears there was moisture that was painted over. See pic. A 4pt roll bar was on this car which is evident by the metal pad welded under the car-1 on the left and 1 on the right side. One is pictured. Also there is damage on the left side of the dash. I don’t know if someone was attempting to remove the dash or what happened. See pic. If you are looking for a solid first gen Camaro this may be the one for you. I do have the car for sale locally so this listing will be terminated if sold. Please ask any specific questions before bidding.

These are the five most ridiculous attacks on the Chevy Volt [w/videos]
Thu, Aug 7 2014It's been a long, strange trip for the Chevy Volt from the time when the now-odd-looking concept version (above) was introduced at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show to today. And now, General Motors announced that the second-generation Chevy Volt will make an appearance at the 2015 Detroit show in January. This debut represents a victory for GM with what has easily become the most politicized car of the 21st Century. There are plenty of reasons for someone to criticize the Volt, but what's amazing is just how much anti-Volt energy has been spent not on things like the styling or how the EREV setup is not as efficient as a pure-EV powertrain. As we wait for more official information on the new Volt, we thought it would be fun to go back and look at some of the most wildly incorrect reporting and strangest attacks on the Volt from the archives. There is so much good stuff out there, it was hard to pare the list down, but these are our five favorites. Amazingly, they're not all clips from Fox News. Check 'em out below. 5. GM Is Going To Stop Making The Chevy Volt In The US Do you remember when GM was about to move Volt production to China? Well, yeah, this was reported back in early 2012 when a GM executive mentioned that the automaker would get benefits of building the Volt in the places where it sells them. This was spun into a story of GM taking Obama bailout money and then running to China. The Blaze was not happy: "Given the fact that Federal government helped itself to millions and millions of taxpayer dollars under the pretense that it was going to combat high unemployment by creating 'green jobs,' it would seem that moving research and development (and possibly manufacturing) overseas is slightly, well, counterproductive." Well, of course, that never happened. There's no way to say that GM will never build a version of the Volt in China, but the news we hear rumors of these days is that GM is going to move production of more Volt parts (specifically, the motors) to Michigan from overseas. 4. The Chevy Volt Is A Fire Trap There has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. Yes, there were Volts that caught on fire. Yes, that's a scary thing. But there has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. These were crashed test vehicles with destroyed batteries and plugged-in vehicles that were not the cause.
Recharge Wrap-up: Tesla sells Model S 85 and 70D in Malaysia, Chevy Spark EV built using clean energy
Mon, May 18 2015Tesla will send Model S 70D and Model S 85 EVs to Malaysia for leasing to government-linked companies. Only those companies will have access to the models as a two-year lease, which will be imported and leased by Malaysian Green Technology Corporation. The plan is part of an initiative by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water to allow government officials and other influential people to get to know the electric vehicles and the benefits that come along with them. Most of the 120 vehicles available will be the 70D model, and the lessee companies will have the option to purchase the cars at the end of the two years. Read more from Paul Tan's Automotive News. Wanxiang is hosting students from Delaware in China as part of a program to learn Mandarin and visit schools and science and technology sites. Wanxiang, the auto parts company that acquired Fisker (which had manufacturing based in Delaware) and battery maker A123 Systems, will give the students tours of its solar technology facilities, among other places, and see what daily life is like for families in the region. The program helps students interested in science and technology to foster marketable skills — like learning a foreign language — that will help them get jobs in industries around the world. The e-motors building of the General Motors Baltimore Operations complex has a new rooftop solar array and uses LED and CFL lighting, helping the building recently earn LEED Silver certification. The landfill-free facility also takes advantage of the 1.23-megawatt solar array on the grounds, helping it source six percent its energy from renewable sources. The plant has reduced its energy intensity by 15.5 percent in three years, and continues to work toward reducing consumption and sourcing clean energy. "We believe reducing our environmental footprint is good for the climate and good for our business," says GM Executive Director of Global Public Policy Greg Martin. Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
