1967 Camaro Rs Numbers Matching Protect-o-plate on 2040-cars
Mount Shasta, California, United States
This is a rare find. I am the second owner and have the clear title to the vehicle. The car is an original California car with virtually every option available at the time for a Camaro including, Deluxe interior, power brakes, power steering, 275HP 327(original #'s Match, rebuilt/balanced and blueprinted), air conditioning, tilt column, factory tinted glass and bumper guards. This is not only a numbers matching car, I have all the parts except the carburetor that are original to the vehicle and bear the correct date code: Starter, alternator(restored), distributor, a/c compressor, intake manifold and original radio. The body was completely stripped down to the unibody, sandblasted and then underwent $20,000 worth of paint and body work to bring it to a showroom condition. The transmission in the vehicle is a rebuilt Muncie M20 4 speed. THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION, however I have the original 2 speed Powerglide in working condition. Because the car was virtually untouched when I purchased it, I have many commonly missing and extremely hard to find items for it. As an example the chrome headliner trim on a Deluxe interior car is somewhat rare, even more so in good condition. The pieces I have are restored to new condition. I have replaced every piece of wire on the vehicle with correct factory harnesses. The rs headlight doors are rebuilt and have updated motors. Please feel free to ask me for details and additional photos if necessary. Winter is coming and I would like to make room in my garage for my boat!
On Sep-06-14 at 18:42:41 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added a few more pictures. Nearly all of the original parts are included with the car and are either restored or in restorable condition(carb and air cleaner are the only missing original parts that come to mind). The vent windows and quarter window pieces are re-chromed and I have all the original date coded glass with the exception of the windshield. I also have quite a bit of new parts too, AC Delco and OER. All of the emblems are new GM. The seats are in good condition and I have new seat foam for the front buckets. I have all new correct type window felts and weatherstripping. The A/C and heater controls are in excellent condition. There is no rust in the trunk or floor as these have been replaced!! |

2020 Chevy Corvette Stingray vs the world: How it compares on paper
Mon, Jul 22 2019The 2020 Chevy Corvette Stingray in its base form offers an astonishing amount of performance for the money. In fact, so impressive is the car's spec sheet that the Corvette kind of exists in two different competitive sets: one of cars priced similarly, and another with cars of similar performance and reputation. To get a feel for how it handles each of these segments, we've compiled specifications for those two sets of players. You can find the first set below, which looks at cars of roughly the same price point. Following that is a bit of analysis, and then there's a chart of cars with similar performance and reputation. And that chart will also have some analysis. Though final pricing for the Corvette hasn't been announced yet, we know the Corvette will start at less than $60,000. And as far as pricing goes, its closest competitor is the Porsche 718 Cayman, which also starts at just under $60,000. Both are mid-engined and rear-drive, but the Corvette offers an extra 195 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. The Cayman does boast a curb weight of right around 3,000 pounds, so it weighs a few hundred pounds less than the Corvette, but it's likely not enough to make up for the power deficit. The Corvette's sub-3.0-second 0-60 time bears this out against the Cayman's best 4.5-second run. Impressively, though, the Cayman has more cargo space than the Corvette in a package that's nearly 10 inches shorter. The Cayman also still offers a manual option for those that prefer self-shifting. The 2020 Toyota Supra is on the cheap end of this sports car class, just crossing $50,000. It also boasts more power than the Cayman, though it's still down by 160 ponies and 105 pound-feet of torque to the C8. It's also about as roomy as the Corvette, despite being about the same size as the Cayman. Cargo space is a bit tighter. Its driving characteristics will likely differ, too as the Supra sits on a front-engine platform. It might even feel closer to a C7 Corvette in some ways. The other mid-engine entry in this price range is the 2019 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider. Its small 1.7-liter turbo inline-4 only makes 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, but it's also far and away the lightest of this group at 2,487 pounds. That's roughly 1,000 pounds lighter than the Corvette. It isn't as fast as the Corvette in a straight line, but that lightness surely pays dividends in cornering and braking.
2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim
Wed, 03 Apr 2013Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.
Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.
