Highest bidder wins this great truck!

2001 Chevy K2500 HD 4x4 Auto w/Boss V-Plow

Gas, 6.0 L V-8 Engine.   Truck has served us well!  We bought this truck about a year ago.  We put the plow on it (it has only plowed this past season), therefore all plow wiring is new.  Plow was bought used.  Truck was owned by an energy company since new so it was very well maintained.  173,000 miles

Truck has some obvious damage.  Most being the rear bumper and the drivers cab corner.  Drivers side door doesn’t open fully or has difficulty functioning as normal because of this.

It’s a real money maker. Truck didn’t let us down this past season.  Runs great.

Servicing done over past year:

  • New battery
  • New alternator
  • New plow wiring
  • New tail pipe
  • New front brakes
  • New water pump
  • Majority of brake lines replaced

Truck is being sold as it, you are welcome to come drive it.  Salter controls shown in picture not included.  There isn't a tailgate for the truck.

We are 10 minutes from DTW (Metro Airport)

Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
To see what Team Chevy has been up to all off-season, check out all three videos posted after the jump.

Chevy: The Big Game

Mon, Feb 2 2015

Chevrolet took an early lead for the 2015 Super Bowl advertising crown with its spot for the all-new, 4G LTE-capable Colorado pickup in a spot that simulated a problem with your TV. The stark, simple ad then states that if you're lucky enough to have an Internet-capable vehicle, like the new Colorado, you'd at least be able to stream the game. A clever, chuckle-inducing spot if there was one. Check out our full write up of the new, 2015 Colorado. Marketing/Advertising Chevrolet Truck Super Bowl Commercials Videos 2015 super bowl ad

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
