1972 Chevy Custom K20 Long Bed 350 Small Block V8 on 2040-cars
Midvale, Utah, United States
1972 CHEVY CUSTOM K20 LONG BED 350 SMALL BLOCK V8 I have owned this truck for over 14 years. I had the intention to restore her from the frame up but life got in the way and unfortunately I only got around to having the engine rebuilt and adding the 4” lift, 33” tires, and nice rims. The odometer reads 13,495 but the current mileage on the rebuild engine is approx. 9500. The motor was redone approximately 2002 and had been garaged most of the time. I love the roar of the engine and the strong purring of the idle, if I could include it in this listing for you to hear I would. There is nothing cooler than driving down the street and having people look over because the engine sounds so awesome. I get big smiles and thumbs up every time I take her out. I will miss this truck and probably regret selling it later. This beautiful classic 1972 Chevrolet Custom K20 3/4 ton truck does not need much to return it to original. The cab needs a little work, a little sanding and a nice paint job would make her look amazing. This truck has a 350 small block V8; she runs well and is clean for her age. She has a little rust, a few small dents, and some fading. She has all original trim and cab running lights. The bench seat has wear but has a seat cover and seat belts. She needs some TLC but she is ready to go. No warranties expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for delivery or pick up.

Joe Flacco wins C7 Corvette along with MVP honors
Mon, 04 Feb 2013As part of a longstanding tradition, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was given a new car directly after the game and trophy celebrations. For 2013, that car is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it was presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a dealership in New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 before returning to prominence as the only Chevy dealer in Orleans Parish.
Last year, Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning took home a 2012 Corvette GS Centennial Edition. Manning also won in 2008, when he selected a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his reward. In 2011, quarterback Aaron Rodgers accepted the keys to a Camaro convertible.
Though we're most definitely an auto-obsessed group, we did watch the Big Game along with nearly everyone else in America. And we've gotta say, as if winning the Super Bowl and receiving the Tiffany-designed Pete Rozelle Trophy wasn't enough for the multi-millionaire MVP athletes, a brand-new C7 seems like an awfully generous prize. Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
Chevrolet SS previewed by Holden VF Commodore SS V show car
Thu, 14 Feb 2013It won't be long before we see the official, production-ready Chevrolet SS sedan (hint: it will be revealed this weekend). And to tide us over until all of the official details are released about the US-spec version, we have this: the Holden VF Commodore SS V show car, a performance-oriented brother to the Calais V that debuted earlier in the week.
What we really want to know about the SS V is what lies underhood, but General Motors' Australian arm is keeping that under wraps until the Chevy model breaks cover this weekend. Nevertheless, it's obvious that the SS V will be a serious performer, with all sorts of aggressive cues driving that home on the car's exterior. Take a look at those 20-inch billet aluminum wheels that hide big Brembo brake calipers up front, the sculpted hood and front fascia, the wide air intakes with LED running lights and the quad exhaust pipes out back. It's like the Pontiac G8 GXP never even left us.
Inside, there's a sporty-looking interior with aluminum accents that mix in with black leather and suede surfaces, all tied together in the middle with an eight-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system. It looks great, and again, while we don't know anything regarding powertrain details, it makes us oh-so happy to see a manual shifter smack dab in the middle of the center console.
