Chevy 1994 Step Side Z71 K1500 4x4 1/2 Ton on 2040-cars
Lohrville, Iowa, United States
I'm the second owner, driven regular bases, always garage kept, well maintained, 3K oil changes and service, service record available for last 12 years. Recent brake job including master cylinder, rotors/drums. Tires-80%, runs and drives great, solid, no leaks. Transmission cooler, off road package, Bilsteins shocks just replaced (life time warranty). 5.7 liter, 147 K highway miles, AC, PW, PL, tilt, cruise, AM/FM, new wheels, rear window slider. This model has the fiberglass box. The truck has no signs of rust except on the underside of the rocker panels see pictures. If you are practical with your money and need good solid transportation, this truck will easily take you another 100,000 miles. You wouldn't have to spend 35K or more for a new truck and you would save thousands of dollars on taxes, loan fees, interest charges and high payments. Please contact me with questions and I encourage you to come look. If you want to arrange for an inspection I will gladly show the truck to your inspector. I love this truck and hate to sell her but, I purchased another truck to use for my small business and don't need both. Nothing worse than letting a vehicle set idle. This is also listed above my reserve locally so if it sells, I will terminate the auction, bid accordingly. $200 deposit due same day if you win the auction. If you back out, you loose the deposit. Remaining balance is due within 7 days. Whether you pick up the truck in person or arrange for shipping, the truck and title will not be released until funds are secured (checks take up to 10 days to clear). Good luck, you will be getting a nice truck and thanks for looking. |

2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala
Fri, 31 May 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.
2015 Chevy Volt gets larger battery, though range remains the same
Sat, Jul 19 2014The Chevrolet Volt isn't changing much for the 2015 model year. According to specifications uncovered by Inside EVs, though, the new Volt's battery does have a slightly larger capacity. According to the spec sheet, this doesn't translate to increased range. Real world driving, though, might tell a different story. The 2015 Volt's battery storage is slightly higher than the outgoing model's, up from 16.5 kilowatt-hours to 17.1 kWh. According to GM's manager of electrification technology communications, Kevin Kelly, speaking to Green Car Reports, the increased capacity is "a late change done in the cell... just another continuous improvement to surprise and delight our customers." The stated electric range, however, stays at 38 miles. Inside EVs followed up on its original report, and found that drivers could see some advantage to the battery tweak. When they spoke to Kelly, he told them, "As a result of this change, we would expect that some customers may see a slight improvement in overall EV range." It's worth noting that when battery capacity increased from 16 kWh to 16.5 kWh for the 2013 Volt, electric range increased by three miles to the current 38, while MPGe went from 94 to 98. The price of the 2015 Chevrolet Volt remains steady, at $34,995. The actual cost to the customer is considerably less with the $7,500 federal tax credit, as well as any local incentives.
Chevrolet donates 300 vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Super Storm Sandy took out a lot of automobiles in its path of destruction through the Northeast last October. The number surpassed 250,000 at last count, and a few of those were owned by Chevrolet - cars either sitting on dealership lots or waiting at port to be shipped off. Rendered unsellable by the water damage inflicted by Sandy, these vehicles were facing the crusher. But Chevy didn't send them there.
Instead, Chevy had a better idea: It will be donating 300 of these vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders at Guardian Centers in Perry, GA. Chevy is the official automotive partner of Guardian Centers, which is an 830-acre facility that trains first responders in disaster preparedness. Junked cars are practically a consumable commodity there, where a full-size cityscape simulator gives trainees an entire urban center in which to train for all sorts of rescue operations and disaster scenarios.
Chevy says its particular vehicles will be used "in conjunction with role players for wide area searches, traffic congestion in emergency situations, counter terrorism, public order and mass casualty exercises." While grim scenarios all, we're certainly glad there are people out there preparing for the unexpected. While a zombie apocalypse isn't officially on the list of potential disasters to prepare for, when the virus hits, we'll be hot-footing it to Perry, GA to hang with these guys and gals.
