I am selling my clean 1998 Chevrolet Silverado K1500 Z71 4X4. Drivers side of the truck has virtually no rust. The passenger side is just starting to rust. The truck is a headturner. The truck has a 6 inch Rough Country suspension lift on it along with Goodyear Wrangler MTR's with Kevlar (35 x 12.5) on 15 inch Mickey Thomson classic wheels that are in great shape. This truck has 6,000 miles on the lift and tires.The truck was re-geared to 4.56's with a locker added to the rear end. It has Bilstein 5100 shocks on all 4 corners. The motor is a Vortec 350 5.7 liter v8 with a performance comp cam along with a reprogrammed computer. The cam sounds very great coming through the dual straight pipes with 4 inch exhaust tips. The emissions (catalytic converters) are still on the truck. The transmission was built with all of the upgrades including a 2000 stall converter. The transmission shifts firm. Also, the truck comes with 2 KC lights. The pictures do not do justice to how good the truck looks in person. The interior is a 9.9/10 and is wired for a sub and amp. The exterior is 9/10 because of a few door dings on the passenger side door.Garage kept for its whole life . The truck has had recent service and it is ready to drive and needs nothing. I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere.

2015 Chevy Volt gets larger battery, though range remains the same
Sat, Jul 19 2014The Chevrolet Volt isn't changing much for the 2015 model year. According to specifications uncovered by Inside EVs, though, the new Volt's battery does have a slightly larger capacity. According to the spec sheet, this doesn't translate to increased range. Real world driving, though, might tell a different story. The 2015 Volt's battery storage is slightly higher than the outgoing model's, up from 16.5 kilowatt-hours to 17.1 kWh. According to GM's manager of electrification technology communications, Kevin Kelly, speaking to Green Car Reports, the increased capacity is "a late change done in the cell... just another continuous improvement to surprise and delight our customers." The stated electric range, however, stays at 38 miles. Inside EVs followed up on its original report, and found that drivers could see some advantage to the battery tweak. When they spoke to Kelly, he told them, "As a result of this change, we would expect that some customers may see a slight improvement in overall EV range." It's worth noting that when battery capacity increased from 16 kWh to 16.5 kWh for the 2013 Volt, electric range increased by three miles to the current 38, while MPGe went from 94 to 98. The price of the 2015 Chevrolet Volt remains steady, at $34,995. The actual cost to the customer is considerably less with the $7,500 federal tax credit, as well as any local incentives.
GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
